    TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS
ABRSM’s recommended tempo for this piece is 120 bpm, as played in this video.
Dynamics are straightforward, but be careful to develop an audible contrast between the f and mf dynamics. Also watch out for the crescendo from bars 5 to 6 of the mf bar , and similarly at bars 13 to 14, as it is nice to play musically and bring out these little details .
The section starting from bar 9 must be played mf (medium loud) - not p (soft) because it will only need to be played once - without the repeats. In most ABRSM exam pieces, repeats are not usually required, or wanted, unless it specifically instructs you to do so in the footnotes on the bottom of the page. Repeated sections generally make it harder for an examiner to assess because a repeated section could potentially be played quite differently each time and it also makes the music unnecessarily long in an exam situation.
The rit. (slowing down) at bar 15 does of course apply.
