I have the same bike 2005 with HARD CHROME 3" pipes and had it jetted...runs great...almost maintenance free except for oil changes. My brother has a 2010 Harley 1200cc he already had to replace both head gaskets. I told him he should of bought a Honda but didn't listen and he's paying for it now.
Just put these same pipes on my VTX1300 and they sound incredible. I didn't debaffle them and they are still very loud. I would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade. Thanks for the vid BlueDevilVTX, the sound is very comparable to what the pipes actually sound like in person.
Thanks for sharing! Your video convinced me to go Cobra. Just put on the speedster slashdowns and powerflo intake a rejet and it sounds awesome like your blue devil. It's the candy black cherry monster haha. Thanks again.
Do not go from a 600 to a 750. There is little to no difference there. It might seem like a big jump going to a 1300, but after a couple of rides, you will feel comfortable. I started out on a Shadow 750 and then got a VTX1300 like the one in this video and it was a very easy transition.
You don't need a "Jet kit" after installing different pipes on the 1300 VTX> It's only a single carb and all that's needed it a small washer under the needle (or 2) and readjust the air mixture screw and you're good to go! You can find the jetting instructions off of one of the forums online. It's pretty easy.
I have an 04 with same pipes but i dont think its been jetted. The bike is cold natured and when going from a stop it sputters a little. Do you think its the jets or some other problem j/w
They would sound much better with some baffles in those pipes. The sound hollow and cheap. Does nothing for the bike. Better listen to your buddies when they tell you it's too loud. More annoying than anything.

@Keanu Allan i would suggest flixzone. You can find it by googling :)

Where you get the pipes from? I have a 2005 VTX 1300 C. Will they fit?
Just ordered a set of for my 2007 VTX1300C can’t wait to get them installed.

I like that sound.
Nice Bike.... i have a 07 vlx 600, rides likes a champ. But i want my nex bike to be a 750 or a 1300.

You still have your vtx nice looking bike
If it was a 1800 I would say that's my dream bike
1800 doesn’t sound as good. Because of its dual crank pin setup. (As opposed to the 1300’s single crank pin)
been thinking V & H or Cobra, love the sound.
Good sounding pipes. 'Idles pretty loud, well not very loud at all actually' LOL. Should of edited that out!
what jet kit are you using I'm ordering these pipes and but don't know what I need to get just for pipes
