Not me watching a two finger select in layers after struggling for so long 😭

I have the desktop Mac version of this. I use it mostly to do “Tetris” with patterns and arrange them to either avoid splicing or control the amount and location of splicing my Ditto will do. And work with layers not related to sizes (it’s shocking what pattern markings pattern designers put into various layers).
My question is: are there advantages to using A.D. for iPad over the desktop version? I want to learn to use the knife tool for lengthening or shortening patterns or for pattern hacks too, for example.

Some people like to use the iPad for “on the go” alterations.
Those using a DIY projector setup and an iPad are recommended to use Affinity Designer iPad because it has zoom that can be typed for calibration and can alter patterns.
If you are using Affinity Designer to make pattern alterations, save to PDF, and project from the Ditto, you don’t need both the desktop and iPad version.

@@projectorsewing thank you so much! So far the Ditto is working for me. In a video somewhere, probably you or Diana D said most people use a certain (can’t remember the numbers (24 x 48?)) but it was the same dimensions the Ditto uses. And they finally made a video explaining you need PDF stitcher to use your own patterns, which, thanks to you and Brianna, I already knew:) and after hearing about Pattern Tetris, I’m seeing that preparing a pattern for Ditto use isn’t really that much different than for other systems. Calibration is super easy…. But I would definitely have struggled without your channel and Brianna and the Facebook Group. The community is amazing!!! And next I want to learn digital pattern hacking!!!
