The blouse turned out really exquisite, it is a delicate feminine fabric that you have transformed into a masterpiece. The beetroot gave a very gentle, subtle color. I have a few tablecloths similar to yours, (I love thrifting doilies, vintage linens etc) I have used avocado pits as I didn't have beetroot. came out very deep blush color. I also love tea dying my doilies...tfs!
Thank you for your lovely words! I'm glad you enjoyed the transformation. Avocado pits for a deep blush color sound like a fantastic alternative, and tea dying doilies is such a charming idea. Thrifting for vintage linens is a wonderful way to find unique pieces. Thanks for sharing your creative process! 🌸🍵
This is an heirloom garment if I’ve ever seen one. It is absolutely gorgeous. I’m so happy I found your channel. You’ve inspired me to get back to my sewing machine. I downloaded your pattern and can’t wait to make it. Thank you for sharing your talent and passion with us. ❤
Omgoodness that is WOW, 👏👏👏🥰 I’ve always wanted to repurpose such things as clothing, but somehow kinda lack confidence to get started🙄🥴🙃 This is just beautiful, thank you so much! This was on my feed and I’m sew happy I watched it🥰❤️😀
Thank you so much! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the video. Don't worry about starting-just take it one step at a time, and you'll build confidence as you go. I'm so glad it popped up on your feed and inspired you. Happy sewing! 🥰❤️😀
Absolutely gorgeous, great tutorial from start to finish. Just one question, did you put a hook or anything along the back opening, where your bra would be?
Just found your channel ! Absolutely love your outfits that u have created. Love your style. It’s exactly the style of clothing that I want to learn to create. Thank you for videos. 👏🏼
Such a lovely creation - I’m looking forward to my first try at making a top to go over my summer strapped dresses from a vintage tablecloth. Once I’ve tried that I might give your pattern a go as it looks gorgeous. Could your pattern be adapted to a v neck? Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 That sounds like a wonderful project! I’m sure it will turn out beautifully. As for the pattern, yes, it can definitely be adapted to a V-neck! You can simply adjust the neckline to your desired V shape while keeping the rest of the design the same. I think it would look gorgeous with a V-neck! Looking forward to seeing how your project turns out! 💙
Wow its so gorgeous. The lacey fabric is just beautiful. You will have me looking for really pretty tablecloths like yours now. I never thought of using beets to dye with. Let us know if the lining runs when you wash the blouse. Thank you. Its a really lovely blog.xx
Thank you so much, Tanya! I did read that you can use vinegar as a prewash on the fabric and it helps the dye to stay, but I didn't use it 🤪 I heat set it after it dried but I figured most likely I will be hand washing this blouse, it won't be one I'll be washing heavily. 💜
How beautiful!! In love with this design How did you secure the black bow on at the end?! And what closure did you end up doing at the bra level in the back (if at all)? I'm so curious 😊 Looks great- congrats on a great make!
Thank you so much! So the black bow is attached to a broach type pin so it's removable and I do wear it on other tops :-) At the bra level, for now I just hand tacked it closed at one of the scallops (because I only had one button) but I bought another of the same buttons and I'm going to add a loop and button at the bra point. So there will we 2 buttons on the back total 💜
This is so pretty. I just found your channel and have been watching lots of your videos. For sure I will be looking for tablecloths at the thrift store. I subscribed to your newsletter and got the pattern. Because I have broad shoulders I usually avoid puff sleeves but love the idea of the pleats.
I like how happy your voice is while talking about this whole make! Looks so fabulous!😊
Aww thank you so much, Erin! This was a fun project. Hope you're having a great summer!! 🌸
OMG! I was literally holding my breath while you cut out your pieces… with out pinning them! What a priceless blouse you made. 😊

Really nice use of the tablecloth! I think your lining came out streaky because you didn’t wet it prior to dipping.
oh it could be! thank you for your observation💜
Absolutely gorgeous, great tutorial from start to finish. Just one question, did you put a hook or anything along the back opening, where your bra would be?
Hi! Thank you so much! Yes, I did put a small hook and eye at the bra line. I actually don't even have to undo it, I just pull the top overhead.
Just found your channel ! Absolutely love your outfits that u have created. Love your style. It’s exactly the style of clothing that I want to learn to create. Thank you for videos. 👏🏼
