Comme des Garçons 2 has a special place in my heart. It’s crazy to say, but this fragrance has been apart of all 22 years of my life (funny enough it came out the year I was born). It’s my uncle’s signature scent and one of my all time favorites. I think it’s very unique and it’s definitely an acquired taste. To me it’s something I’d picture an alt person to wear. I pick up on the aldehydes, musk, Amber, and warm spices more than anything and I think that’s why I’m so drawn to it because I tend to lean towards more soapy/fresh/spicy scents. It’s become one of my staple fragrances and I flip flop between CdG2 and Jean Paul Gaultier Classique 😁
i tested Comme des Garcons 2 weeks ago in Prague .... very easily wearable scents, even for the people around at work that aren´t into fragrances at all ...... i love Comme des Garcons 2 and Rouge !!!!!! outstanding scents!!!!! round notes, no harshness

Escentric Molecule molecule 04 reminds me of CdG Concrete. And coincidentally it smells like Mojave Ghost. I think Concrete contains a diluted javanol, or a similar synthetic molecule resembling sandalwood. I love Serpentine from CdG but also interested in trying out Copper.
I have Copper on the way... already have Wonderwood which is nice but too much of a skin scent immediately, no projection. Man 2 though, that is so nice, I love it. Hope you can sample Copper at some point to review it, I've heard some other reviews that are interesting and one that sounded like your initial description of the opening of Amazingreen on this video..
Agree .... wonderwood is imaginative and enjoyable ..but little projection and longevity . Just have to spray it more often ... the opposite of Copper - which after you get through the initial opening surprise and shock ... accompanies you throughout the day with its warmth and is a joy to wear . I just ordered CdG 2 Man
I just walked in-store today to test a few CDG, man floriental was super sweet at the start that I was like no ty, but after the dry down it was settle quite nicely. Still tossing up between that, 2 & I want to get Amazingreen for like a lighter scent.
For me they all have a certain abstract quality. Industrial or like an aliens interpretation of what they’re doing. I don’t dislike it at all but it’s not my favorite style of fragrance. For that reason I only own odeur 71 which fills the role for abstract futuristic fragrance in my. Also super wearable.

i love Man 2, but the longevity is shamefully weak on my skin, it just packs its bag up and takes off in like 2 hours.
