I love this scent at this time of the year. For me it is totally on the Plum-side. The plum is very present. Then comes the woody and spicy warmth. I often layer it with Tom Ford „Ombre Leather EdP“. Amazing combo 👌🏼
Hmm. Sounds like this one is lacking in distinctiveness. Hopefully with consequent testing that will change. It’s interesting that the plum seems muted off of your skin, as I’ve read reviews that state it’s rather pronounced. But, that’s the subjectivity of fragrance for ya! Great take as always! Look forward to hearing your thoughts later on!
the plum was there but I don't think it was a major player, once the camera was off I did notice this scent didn't develop at all. So as minimal that it was, it did stick around.
Beautiful package 📦. I love fragrances but don’t want to become a collector. I’m a minimalist but fragrances are my weakness 😊. Just get one or two from each house
This is another house that im not familiar. And the reviewers almost never talk about this ...maybe no free bottles???😅. Thank you marc for keeping this channel a safe haven for real fragrance lovers and collectors. Great first impression👍
oh no CDG is a brand that would not be part of the free bottle brigade hence lack of reviews. It's so strange to see the difference within this youtube community as brands just fall off because reviewers only review and spotlight the freebies.
Cheers Mark ,only thing I have from this house is a freebie sample of Copper and I can’t even find that ,shameful I know but I will most probably purchase one from the house shortly and was thinking 2 man by Buxton ,however your suggestion would be appreciated on your favorite I do indeed like woody ,pencil shavings .🙏✌️👍🇮🇪🥂
Hey Marc, I’m a big fan of Dsquared’s Rocky Mountain Wood (discontinued). It seems like CDG has some similar woody fragrances. Do you have any recommendations for an outdoorsy fragrance with the same personality as Rocky Mountain Wood? WonderOud maybe? Saw your samplin samples on it. Thanks!
I remember trying it in passing and was quite underwhelmed. All the Plum Japonaise comparisons have got me question myself. I'm currently looking for Aoud 1 by M. Micallef, which is plum accompanied by Oud and a bit of apple. Sounds amazing and please try it and share your thoughts if you come by it.
Aah, that's a shame. I seem to remember the plum note being what I liked about this one, but it has been a few years since I had it, or maybe they changed it.

Great video and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try it and have a blessed day
Thank you! You too!
You welcome keep up the good work and thank you very much GOD BLESS 🙏
@@michaelbullock8011what did you think?
Never tried any from the brand, but now I know which one I'm not going to begin with... Thanks for the unboxing Marc!!!
never!!! wow, start with Black or Avignon. Great scents

Well with the exception of a few houses like tom ford, dior, MFK, YSL

@@robes08 well said 👏
@@robes08 How sad. And then we're stuck with numerous reviews of things like Sboy, and currently a lot of reviews of the new Kayali line, etc.
I had the same impression as well when I tried it, I find Rouge more interesting.
I do need to get my nose on rouge, it seems interesting.

2 Man sounds a perfect choice imo

CDG does not have that outdoorsy feel like RMW but they do have tons with wood. I'd recommend CDG Man 2.

Will do on the Micallef, I agree with the reviewers comparing this to PJ which isn't true at least to my nose.
Hopefully that PLUM comes out.
that's what we are hoping.
The plum note in Olfactive Studios Chambre Noir is one of my most hated notes out of anything I've smelled. Are all plum notes like that?
I haven't smelled it so I can't help you, wish I could.
Aah, that's a shame. I seem to remember the plum note being what I liked about this one, but it has been a few years since I had it, or maybe they changed it.
it's there but it isn't prominent on my skin against the woods and incense.
is this a good blind buy?
I don't recommend blind buying, honestly.
