Pasjukov IMO. To me he has the best timbre of any low bass I've heard (and I've listened to dozens of them). I also feel the need to mention that Bondarenko seems under-recognized. He's got a great richness to his voice and I think he sounds better than several of them here.
Alexander Bondarenko has such a smooth deep voice. The others have some "sharpness" to their voices. Almost like a vocal fry but he can hit the lows with a smooth voice.
So awesome! Really hard to control those low notes. I'm sure other basses can relate that when you get to the bottom of your range, even your own heart beat/pulse can affect the pitch.
And, the longer you hold a note, the worse it gets, too. As you start running out of air, the faster your heart beats, which messes with your diaphragm control, and may cause you to pulse the note out of pitch slightly.
Replying the description: Yes, some of those performances are in different keys. In my opinion, Glenn Miller and Vladimir Pasjukov did it the best. Other great one was Bondarenko, although it started one octave above, he hits a great low note at the end of the phrase, so heavy and easy!
Pasjukov will always be my favourite. But Yuri wichniakov is good too. Am sure if the sound system was in his favour his bass would have been top notch. Alex lukianov should be part of the list. His bass is very good
I heard another clip of Yuri Wichniakov singing that song that sounded much stronger. The recording & copying makes a difference. Alexander B, last one is pretty powerful.
Pasyoukov should have got himself amplifier speakers and went on a battleship back in 1990 when he recorded on this. I remember in 1990, Battleship Missouri and the Iowa-class was very popular to go by the Sea and to film but nowadays they are just museums and they don't really move anymore😑
Pasyukov has a great timber, but I prefer Yuri Emashev. It sounds just as good and his note is smooth and continuous, without interruptions. I might be biased though because it's the first one I heard, so my brain perceives it as better
Pasjukov has the strongest sounding, Kotchev and Emashev have the crispiest (if there is such a term to describe that), Vladimir Miller and Bondarenko have the most unique twists (the vibrato and the drop) and the list just keeps going on
personally I like Pasyukov the most, but they are all amazing
Vladimir sounded shaky that day. It's still unbelievable to hear someone put a vibrato on a C2.
He pulls that vibrate back later on In that recording. And gets that *B1 less shakey
He's always like that. He puts vibratto on those low notes which is completely unnecessary when singing that low.
Pasyukov did great with the Bb1 here.
Glenn Miller still remains my favorite though
Pasyukov: heavy and dark...

Your right. I also notice when bass singers sing low their chest voice sounds clicky like vocal fry. But I know its chest.
3:38 I actually got chills from that bass drop
The best one, by far. Not the most accurate, but that was visceral.

Damn it was that complicated?

Vladimir Miller and Sergey were sharp (Sergey by a lot, he actually edges on C2 for part of the note) on theirs, so either Pasyukov or Glenn Miller.

Bondarenko OMG

Great video!
Thanks!
Kochetov does B1 actually.
Alexander bondarenko 😳😳
Every overload in cartoons. His voice is so heavy
good video
Thanks!

Pasjukov 🥴🥴🥴
Pasjukov!
I think Glenn did in my opinion
I've never heard about mr. Laptev, I think it sounds quite good.
Pasjukov for sure!!Only two or three singers are maybe above him for low voice - Mihail Zlatopolsky and Pavel MIchalyk!!
Não acho, acredito que estejam no mesmo patamar

What about the french bass henri medus
Unaccompanied church music is sung at the pitch at which it is manageable.
Pasyukov
Too much difference in recording quality to make a definitive judgement IMO.
Pasjukov and sergey kryzheniko
It's always Yuri Emashev for me.
Where is Zlatopolsky?he is the best of the best!!!
Is there a video of Zlatopolsky singing "Do Not Reject Me" ?
@@jrk1666 not that I could find
