Actually the second video with the guy parking in front of her house. It's technically illegal because he's parked in close proximity to the stop sign. The first video, the lady had a very valid point and I agree with her 100%. In fact she could sue him if he does not blur her out in his video before publishing. @@putent9623 so basically you’re saying that you can get sued for having mental health issues and it’s either get sued or feel more insecure about yourself if you have a really bad social anxiety?
So it's actually illegal to film in a post office for multiple reasons. The first being that you're not allowed to record in a federal building unless you are press, and get authorization from the f$ beforehand. (for example if you are part of a news station that is running a story.) The second being that a post office deals with sensitive information. The post office worker was wrong that he can record inside the post office .
The guy recording in the post office is an auditor. He flexes his 1st amendment right to film in public so that citizens can be educated. He couldve been more professional in my opinion though.
Yeah I agree. I think august take on this one was bad, august even admits himself that he just didn't like the guy, which to me sounds exactly like all those cops that gets fired in audit videos. You know the cops that illegal arrest, detain or detain just because you hurt their feelings.
It's legal to film in a post office. It's a publicly owned building. There are good first amendment auditors, and there are bad ones. The whole point is that police and other civil servants are supposed to respect people's Constitutionally protected rights, and they often don't. Now, that dude was a bit of a dick, but what he's doing has value, even if he does it poorly.
Well he has a right to record, depending on the state he does not have a right to publish a recording of someone else without their consent, even in a public place. It's not something that people usually go after but if that state requires consent, she could go after a portion of what he earned on the video

Hey August, i can completely understand the guy being rude isn't ok and his argument isn't on point but generally speaking if someone records, especially as an audit, it's ok. There are many law videos that say that it's fine and sometimes even recommended. And yes, i am aware that you know the law and stuff but even morally spesking he could have had multiple reasons for recording. Some of them may have been checking how professional the staff was, maybe recording to show that the package he was getting was with the post office and he has absolutely not touched it (Which a RUclipsr has done too) or maybe a more annoying "reason" which is him just expressing his right. Yes, he was a karen afterward and asking for her car made no sense. Also dragging in the employees for no reason wasn't ok and him being rude in other ways wasn't ok. They both were erong but out of the both i think the auditor was more in the right. IDK just my opinion... Edit: The second video, i agree with your POV.
I think he lost his right for “being in the right” for purposely videotaping her when she asked him not to. I really hate those types of people because I personally hate being on camera, like taken photos of/recorded, sometimes even by my friends and family. It gives me a lot of stress and anxiety, so I can totally understand situation like that. Like yeah it’s a public place, but it’s just basic human decency to not record someone when they politely ask u (tho she asked when he wasn’t even in her direction so it was weird). Not to mention that’s a post office, so it’s not somewhere u went for entertainment but had to go to.

The look of sheer confusion on the post office worker is hilarious. He's like "why would I borrow a strangers car whilst I'm in work? Who are you people? How did I get here?"
The first dude is a first amendment auditor, they basically dress up as suspiciously as possible and look for trouble. The post office staff also can forbid people to record.
They cannot forbid it unless they are impeding on the post office doing their job. Someone having a problem with being recorded doesn't count as an impediment because they are doing a constitutionally protected activity.
Look it up if you don't believe me. Btw if this sounds like I'm being rude it is not meant to be.
Things that would be an impediment would be things like blocking customers or doorways. Things like that
If they can forbid people from recording, why didn't they do it here? They can't, the 1st Amendment doesn't allow them to do something like that. If they did, they would be open to a lawsuit for violating an individuals civil rights.
