I have been listening every night to this show for the last 5 years. I turn it on my phone when I go to sleep,it relaxes me. When my wife comes to bed she turns it off so she can sleep and I am 61 years young.😂😂😂
This is one of the better episodes. I do question sending a spotter plane up at night with WW2 technology...not to mention Binghamton sending the 73 out without a mechanic. But if you pick nits you miss how great this episode is!
Those were great narrative shows with actual story lines back then. They were SO much more interesting than watching today's boring "short attention span" reality TV showing people hang around their house or going shopping and getting angry with each other. Hollywood has really gone down the drain!
The hoisting of the signal flags at the intro confused me at four years of age. I served from 78 to 82 as a signalman on the U.S.S. Independence (CV-62). Too bad it wasn't in color. "I even burn Corn Flakes!"
And then you realize that the Navy is full of officers who are quite petty (not to be confused with "petty officers") and none of the fun stuff... It would be even worse these days with all the woke crap...
I go infront of Universal Studios daily and they dont do any shows there like this one filmed in the same place,wonder if the Mchales Navy set is still there?
What's said the aircraft is moving so fast how can you see anything,this was operation petticoat the plane flying by how fast.even in Gilligan's island how fast is the search plane flying

I left the Navy years ago, and, still to this day I cannot eat "chipped beef on toast". Just looking at it makes me nauseous.
