Ben claims to hate socialism, yet here he is, getting publicly owned
🤣
Ben has zero understanding of what socialism truly is.
It's so fun watching people lay a rhetorical trap for Ben knowing he has NO IDEA he's walking right into it.
@@scottgrindrod He is a gift for this mate 😂, you're so right.
@@DStead2239 I know 😂 .
I have a friend like this. we went to university here in the UK together, Oxford Uni. He argues with me blue in the face about socialism being terrible and so on, and then I ask him to tell me what socialism is and he absolutely has no idea; his immediate response is "yeah it's what Russia had" 😂.
it spins me out how much Americans talk about freedom like they're the only free nation or something.
Ah, but he has the plausible deniability of his "American-style freedom" phrasing. Whatever that means is anyone's guess. Presumably the freedom to die of a treatable health condition because you were afraid of bankrupting yourself if you went to the hospital.

The other guy was talking nonsense. Ben Shapiro was making far more sense.
A Jew debating immigration is funny looking, to say the least. Considering the fact that they’ve immigrated to almost every country in the world, and have gotten deported from them as well.
Ben has a major blindspot. Because he is a spoiled Los Angeles brat. Hollywood rejected him, so he sought to become a star on RUclips. The problem is, his character will never cross over to the mainstream heights he dreams of. He is repulsive, and therefore has a limited range of influence
The TYPE of immigrant, as in intellect, education and good aspirations, matters a lot in the real world. People fleeing countries they've ruined are not helping America with their character.
@ yea the same exact way that every other immigrant did, since the mayflower. Or do you really think those people left the UK because it was beautiful and perfect? Ever since our Latin European ancestors found this place and conquered it the uk immigrants were the last to come and the first to start the illegal immigration process. Or did you not know that it was Latin philosophy and science that made the age of exploration possible?

Ben is in his 40’s. Why is he still debating college students?
Because that is the best he can do.
Because he needs to stand on their shoulders to feel tall
It's easy to look good debating the inexperienced, as long as you ignore the inexperienced part.
He will only debate someone when he feels he has some advantage. He tries to irritate as his main tactic and younger people tend to be less disciplined. He’s completely disingenuous and only repeats talking points from right wing billionaires
He's still too scared to debate their professors 😅
I would like to remind Ben Shapiro that as a fellow Jew, a ship named St Louis full of Jews running away from the Nazis was turned away by the US, wonder what Ben would say about this
I'm pretty sure he doesn't know. And wouldn't care if he did.
He has a serious case of the “yeah buts” he’d pivot with yeah but.
And I love how Ben talks about how he wants immigrants to honor other Americans beliefs and lifestyles (all while wearing a Yamika) which NOT ALL AMERICANS WEAR!!!
He does know, that's why he's helping usurp american money to israel as a payback

Didn't win the debate but moral victory that you didn't do as bad as the others and didnt come across like some of the other angry people who seemed to just want their chance at shitting on Shapiro.
So, what Ben is saying is... he wants really bright and talented immigrants to come in and take all the top jobs, while leaving the grunt work to American citizens? That's definitely a new talking point on the right, haven't heard that one before.
Think trump said that
I have Louis ck did a joke about it 14 years ago
"Legally", they want subhumans for the gig economy
Israel and India are working together, someone in the know said it’s going to get very hard for standard middle class guy and regular immigration is going away cuz AI and automation.
Let's be honest here, the bright and talented immigrants to America ALL come legally, and the majority of them are from Asia, specifically India, Japan, China, and Russia. They come here and become doctors, computer programmers, engineers, research scientists. The white collar jobs are largely comprised of whtes and Asianss, the grunt work mostly the others.
If you want to confuse the audience, you can use the speed strategy as Shapiro does with no facts.

Why else would he debate almost exclusively people who are 15 years younger than him?
It's crazy how bad he looks when he faces a well-spoken opponent face-to-face in a neutral room. Clearly, it's easier for Ben to battle nervous college students from behind a podium, in an auditorium filled with people who already agree with him.
As a white English speaking person from a developed country who has moved countries and applied for visas, citizenship multiple times, I have ultimate respect for migrants, particularly those persecuted against and who do not speak the language. It’s an expensive mine field with trip wires everywhere and people with zero empathy like Ben have no idea what courage and character it takes to emigrate to another country and endure the hardships. Not everyone is going to be of the highest socio-economic values to the USA, because you know, people have different circumstances and those who are less fortunate deserve the opportunity to migrate to be with their family. Until USA becomes United States of Zionism. Ben is full of himself. Huh.
Saying this, about the usa, while displaying a circle on top of his head, doesn't go down well, let me tell you....
Meaning pledging allegiance to Israel
What is crazy about this discussion is the "Jews" do not in any shape or form celebrate American culture or adhere to it. For example, today is Thanksgiving and in Brooklyn the "Jewish" schools are open and kids are going to school. No respect for American tradition. Yet Ben who is a "Jew" will not point out this. He only sees how other groups do not respect American culture and values.
Absolutely wrong, and offensive. Yes, the Hasidim (ultra-orthodox) reject everything that is not expressly Jewish, but most other Jews embrace American traditions. My extended Jewish family celebrated Thanksgiving together for many years as did my Jewish friends.
israel lobby practically runs the US congress, and the rest of the country. culture that.
You're on the wrong channel to post this kindof stuff. Is bad.
@@samandros3451 From what I know Hasidism is more of a sub-culture in and of itself-- it's a type of more mystical every-day contact and constant presence of God. It formed in Eastern Europe, which is why western Orthodox Judaism is just as legalistic but so different. It's not a more extreme form of Orthodox Judaism but a different type of it, which has rules which are harder to follow than Orthodox Judaism, which I suppose is why it's called Ultra-Orthodox.
But there are other American groups who often feel patriotic who don't take part in majority American traditions, like the Amish. And Hasidim are similar. I don't think the restrictive lifestyle is particularly good for either group, but Hasids do have some unique and interesting ideas. I think a lot of like the constant daily presence of God through mysticism is unique for instance.

If Ben Shapiro applied for a driver's license and it took ten years to get it to him, do you think he would consider himself to blame for getting ticketed for driving without a license, or do you think he'd blame the DMV?

Great analogy!
I think he'd blame Muslims.... somehow.
US immigration is not just about how long it takes. It also takes money and even with money, we only allow certain amounts people to migrate here from each country.
So if you're a Mexican laborer who wants a future for their children without being kidnapped, raped or killed by narco terrorists, you're just fucked. That's why they come here illegally. They're not bad people. They're just desperate. He would tell you that he would sit at home and slowly turn into a skeleton rather than drive illegally.
Ben Shapiro was born into a conservative Jewish family in Los Angeles, California. Here's more about his family:
Parents:
Father: David Shapiro, a composer who worked in the entertainment industry.
Mother: Her name is not widely publicized, but she also worked in Hollywood as a television executive.
Siblings:
Ben has three sisters. One of his sisters, Abigail Shapiro, is an opera singer and RUclipsr known for promoting conservative values and traditional femininity.
Extended Family:
Ben's family has deep ties to their Jewish heritage, with roots in Ashkenazi Jewish communities from Eastern Europe (Russia and Lithuania).
His grandparents were immigrants who likely fled anti-Semitic violence and persecution during the early 20th century.
Wife and Children:
Ben married Mor Toledano in 2008, an Israeli of Moroccan descent. Mor is a medical doctor specializing in family medicine.
The couple has four children and continues to practice Orthodox Judaism.
Ben Shapiro often credits his family's Jewish values and intellectual pursuits for shaping his own views and career. If you'd like to know more about specific family members, let me know!
He wears his Yamaka, not becuase he's a religious Jew, but because he can claim 'Anti-semitism" whenever anyone points out how wrong he is.

Your comment: "Ben Shapiro's arrogance is on display here" is absolutely spot on.
He seems to harbour a superiority complex of epic proportion.
A superiority complex is really just an overcompensated inferiority complex. Shapiro has a very obvious angry small dog energy. He's acting arrogant because he's a scared little boy
I think it comes from being considered a "gifted student" as a kid; he's got that "gifted" arrogance where he thinks he knows everything and is afraid to learn something new lest he look stupid, so he rationalizes to hell and back his ignorant af beliefs and never tries to challenge them because he doesn't know how to challenge himself.

When I was an undergrad I used to be a little intimidated by Ben Shapiro because the guy was very good at citing facts. After struggling to get my PhD in biology, getting papers rejected, getting peer-reviewed, and learning how to use statistical analyses I realized that having all the facts means absolutely nothing if you're not interpreting them correctly or are cherry picking them. Learning how to be WRONG is a great tool to learn how to eventually make informed decisions. My first paper was rejected six times because although I was correct in a lot of what I was saying, the way I tied my analyses and facts together were wrong in their conclusion. This is the game that I think Ben Shapiro relies on, he thinks that by citing a few facts from a few papers, he's going to make a point, but most researchers can easily tear apart Ben Shapiro when it comes to the nuance. This is why Ben usually debates college students because they're still too young to really defend themselves properly
You can make anything true with "facts" and remember "facts don't have feelings" unless they fo again Shapiro LOL. I always saw through his BS but I'm probably older than you

The misrepresentation of facts is one of the biggest hindrances to the current political state of affairs. And it's not a matter of age, as maga clearly shows. It's probably due to many factors. But one is you have to be able to keep an open mind, and prioritize truth and honesty above partisanship. Obviously this is a bigger issue the farther one goes to the right, but it occurs on all points of the political spectrum.
One random, and inconsequential, issue, that popped up for me recently is the change over from bc/ad to bce/ce. This change was made purely to cosplay as a moral entity watching out for the sensitivities of other people. But it's fundamentally dishonest.

We have to pass a U.S. constitution test and a Missouri constitution test to graduate high school. At least here in Missouri. I assume other states have their own constitution tests too. And it has a lot of the same questions as a citizenship test.
@patfrerking While some U.S. states require high school students to pass a civics test modeled after the citizenship exam, it is not a nationwide mandate and is generally far less difficult than the actual citizenship test.

It's wild to think it was basically one guy who militarised the US/Mexico border, IIRC he was ex-head of the US Marines and he just didn't like how "undisciplined" the border was. Mexican workers would come up for the harvest, sleep out in the fields or in accommodation provided by the farmer, take their cash payments, and then go home. If where they were working was close enough to the border, they'd go home every night or every Saturday night to go to church on Sunday and be back Monday morning.
It's not as simple as that of course because the drug trade wasn't anywhere as huge then as it is now, and nothern Mexico did not have the same, um, cartel problems that so much of it does today. But militarising the border was a contributor. They should have kept it more like the Canadian border.
You are preaching to the choir my brother and I have this conversation all the time who is going to do this type of hard manual labor the generation of kids blacks no and most surely not the white kids Americans would starve to death because the migrants works in picking all the produce in the meat processing plants and when the blacks do not do those black jobs as Trump said who is left
They can complain about them all they like and how bad they think their work is, but you won't ever see them call ICE or go for anyone who hires local laborers or complain to bosses about hiring migrant labor because all they know is that they want a house cheap and fast. Once again everyone missed the problem. We need to start identifying as Americans and not our racial background and religion. We have a problem with unity and assimilation to what America stands for; if we all looked at each other as American and not what we personally identify then we are divided into individualism. Keep religion and identity separate from what this country ideas were founded on. We lost our way and we all need to take pride in this country as Americans.
That's near-impossible. The legacy of oppression is still clearly noticeable, whether it be the economic disadvantages of non-whites, the destruction of indigenous sovereignty, lingering sexist ideas, and of course the current LGBTQ+ issue. The US isn't some perfect thing (even in principle) that is an irrefutable good, especially due to the propagation of these very real issues. Systematic change needs to happen before we can consider that.

Allende was Democratically elected President and was proposing dividends for his citizens from their copper mining industry. Nixon, Kissinger, and the Chicago boys couldn't tolerate a Democracy in America's hemisphere so Pinocet was installed who killed 1000s causing a mass exodus of refugees. Canada and Europe offered refuge.
It's funny how conservatives act like the US doesn't owe anything to the citizens of nations that the US government/military actively prevented from achieving any kind of prosperity. They basically make the argument that "yeah, it's our fault that those people need to escape from the country they were born in, but that doesn't mean we should help them."

Fact
Ben Shapiro's family immigrated to the United States before his birth. His ancestry traces back to Russian and Lithuanian Jewish immigrants. They came to America seeking better opportunities and fleeing persecution in Eastern Europe, as was the case for many Jewish families in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Ben Shapiro himself was born on January 15, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, to a Jewish family.
His family's move aligns with a historical pattern of Jewish migration to America due to anti-Semitic conditions and economic hardships in Europe. If you'd like more specific details about his family history, let me know, and I can look up more information!

Statistically you're completely incorrect unless you are counting legal immigrants in your totals. This is a tactic the left routinely uses which is entirely disingenuous. Legal immigrants and illegal immigrants are not the same thing. Lumping them together so that you can ignore the problems from illegal immigration is absurd. The very first thing the 'wizard' said was a straw man. No, Ben didn't think people should be turned away from emergency rooms. They should be in medical centers in countries they're legally allowed to be in.
How many Americans would think it justified to illegally enter or stay in Japan or Norway because they wanted Japanese or Norwegian taxpayers to pay for their children's education and their medical care, while that American was illegally there, drove around with no insurance and ready to flee if they got in an accident, etc?
Perhaps we should bring back the question they used to ask at airports when I was a kid:
"Are you a terrorist??"
lets see evangelical Christians take an ideology test, starting with separation of church and state
Separation of church and state isn't found in any of our founding documents. That quote refers to a line from one of the Federalist papers and was actually more focused on the government corrupting the church not the other way around. You probably are also completely unaware that our states used to have state churches... You should actually read about our country rather than parroting quotes you hear from other people. Our founding fathers were very clear in that our system of government would not function in a society devoid of a church going populus. You know not of what you speak.
@@MrDapotpienope. Where to start? No, SOCAS does not come from any of the federalist papers. There arre many ideas in constitutional law affirmed over the years that are not specifically mentioned in a founding document. "Core Constitutional commitments" or something like that, is the term used by Cass Sunstein, Akhil Amar, and others. SOME of the founding fathers believed in the benefits of a church going nation. There were many founding deists that disagreed. They were clearly correct in believing that a secular society could be a successful, safe, and well behaved society. In America and around the world the most secular states, countries, regions etc. have crime rates, education, etc. that are envy of the Bible Belt. Not that what the founding fathers thought about desirable social effects of belief in Christianity has anything to do with SOCAS. Nothing more to do with it than whether or not states had established churches at one point or any comments by Madison (or Hamilton) in the Federalist Papers. (If you're not referring to Fed. 52 then which one?). Lastly, Christianity is absurd on its face and SOCAS is a good idea regardless of what the founders thought. Well, that pretty much wraps it up. Other than pointing out that the comment about Christianity being absurd on its face is a comment all too easy to defend.

In USA the mass immigration through the xx century didn't cause society collapse because was prevalent from Christian countries.
