hey guys! now before everyone jumps in about the sad song being in contrast to the bright/happy merch, its intentional! i love almost 'ironic' synergy like this, and i think it would sell a lot better with her demo (yes i listened to the song and read all the lyrics, and I still went with the original plans, not everything has to be super obvious in design!) ~ thank you everyone, i appreciate your support :)

Brushing in black to recolor in Illustrator/PS is genius! Definitely investing in a scanner ASAP. Love this breakdown.
it came after painting in white on black and realizing how difficult it was to scan and select the color properly! then i remembered the invert tool exists lol

I really like the interlocking smiley with the DD and the smiles down the sleeve I think that's really sick, think it would also be super nice as a pocket sized logo with the text at the back :)

@@katiepetkewich lol I guess it came out wrong but I meant that it's easy for creators to kind of poke fun at other creators (especially big tiktokers) because they don't think it would ever reach them. Kel could have easily said "this is really ugly" (though I'm sure they'd never do that)

i don't really do graphic design stuff but watchin your creative process is always super interestin - and I love the stamps! clever way to get the brushstrokes, didn't even know a film scanner could get that job done reliably

Hi, I just came up with a really cool idea that you can do with your friends or collab with other RUclipsrs who do the same thing as you... (while staying home)
here's how to play:
1. Find 2 other people who love computer designing things like you
2. You need to have a random topic (like a restaurant), come up with a name, colour theme, and have a backstory about the restaurant
3. All 3 of the contestants create the sign for the restaurant (or whatever topic), and all 3 designs will be judged by the comments...
I really hope she sees this cause I am really excited about the idea, and I think other people will enjoy this type of video as well!! Love u

Watching your way of approaching a project and how you do it soo calmly is making me realise that I need to let go of my inhibitions when it comes to creatively expressing myself. I overthink too much about what other people would make out of my designs. Time to break from that habit, make "mistakes" and enjoy the process. Thanks Kel! I saw this at a time I really needed it.
