Can u redesign my life kel
Banger comment
X2
@@msilvia4807 I think this is my favourite comment ever
HAHA lmao 😆
pls mine too
I love how people prefer soup over Billie Eilish merch. Ooh the green hair.
everyone: halloween spooky videos
kel: soup
u should do a “my _____ followers design a brand” like you could do polls for the product, the vibe, the color pallette, the name of the brand, etc and then you design a brand/product packaging! like so kel can see 🥰
Omg amaziiing idea, I neeeeed to see this :)
I love this! That would be so much fun to watch.
OMG YES
I'm sad you didn't go with the tomato pattern in the background. I think it would have been helpful to non English speakers to have it. Because right now, all the labels are exactly the same, the only way you tell the soups part is by the name of the soup. By having little iconography of symbols representing what it is, you don't need to know the word you can just look for the symbol on the pattern. Also easier to just see which soup it is at a glance.
I thought the pattern was super cute and accessible too, I was sad to see it didn’t make it into the final design!
That's so cool! I wish that kind of design was more common!
It would be great for people who have a hard time reading as well.
Yeah, our labels are different, I find Canadian Campbells labels are very visual, they usually show the type of soup right on the label, with beans, or noodles and chicken, or tomato, etc. it helps to find what ur looking for straight away
The original packaging really said ✨ SOUP ✨
this made me LAUGH
@@KelLauren haha I’m glad
The colours choices are so pleasing and I like how it flows together. The fact you can't read the whole name would be an issue though.
i think it would be a problem if it wasn't one of the most recognisable brands in the world, but with Campbell I'll give her a pass lol
I disliked the idea at first, but at least in a non-pandemic world, the idea of picking it up to read it is intruiging. Are you more likely to buy an item if you pick it up? I think so. So prompting you to pick it up is a good marketing move, a trick. So that grew on me. It's similar enough to the original to make you think, "Wait, is that *Campbell's?"* but unsure enough to pick it up and look. Sneaky! 😅
@@Sofia-re3hj for people who would be new to the us its not very recognised
@@onlyang_el i mean, im not from the US, but i know the brand because of andy warhol. it's kind of an usamerican staple worldwide tbh maybe not coca-cola level but close enough
@@Sofia-re3hj I've never seen the brand in my life, but I guess some people have. Where im from though I don't think its a well known thing.
Me: at an all-time high anxious about everything
Kel: *posts a video about soup*
Me: *anxiety cured*
Didn’t know I’d learn Campbells soup is two years younger than Canada in this video
love the colors and thought behind this but on a store shelf you’d never be able to actually read the entire name it would just look like a blob
Yeah, there's not enough contrast on the wordmark, which could easily turn this into an utter disaster for people trying to identify what it is. Don't forget about people who are dyslexic...
That’s why you could only do this with a legacy brand like Campbell’s and not a brand that’s new to the market.
@@jillypepper_ Yes, but it's a double-edged sword. The colors are consistent, which is nice- but you also have to worry about the demographics. It's a soup company, there's gonna be super-wide demographics. You risk alienating a lot of people for the sake of aesthethic- because it's not the product itself that's changing, it's the brading and packaging.
@@TornaitSuperBird Of course lol. That’s why these are just for fun and completely subjective.
Yeah the logo was made outa soup aesthetic is not good for sales
The line crossing the P is giving me anxiety hahaha, but honestly this design is one my favorites of yours. The golden stamp, and the edit in green.. are EVERYTHING!
SAME I came to the comments to see if anyone said this
YESSS it was buggin me! 😂 It looks like it's jumping off the can, but the line through the P really disrupts the illsion. If it's supposed to look more printed, like the stamp, then I'd not do the drop shadow. But having both is... visually confusing for me. I love the angle of the split, think it's highly effective, but that was bugging me! I'm so happy I'm not alone! 😭
Looks like Warhol needs to update his painting
Rip
Well, he's DEAD jidapa! And I know you miss him and I know it was an accident and I know you're in pain and I wish could take that away for you. I WISH I could shield you from the knowledge that you did what you did, but Andy Warhol is DEAD! He's gone forever! And what a waste... if it could've maybe brought us together, or something, if you could've just said "I'm sorry" or faced up to what happened, maybe then we could do something with this, but you can't take responsibility for anything! So, now I can't accept. And I can't forgive. Because... because NOBODY admits anything they've done!
this is lovely, but im not a fan of how thiccccc the logotype is. had a little trouble reading it
Some people like it thicc, lol, but I agree. 😅 It felt... kind of... drippy or something, like limp noodles that are dripping cheese. Which might not be misplaced, given the product, but also wasn't visually appetizing for me. I liked the thicker drop shadow because for a minute it made the actual text look less thick, but alas! 😂 I love the color palettes and most of the other choices (the line through that little bit of overhanging P was buggin me, lol, it messed with the illusion of it kind of jumping off the can), but the Cambell's of it all was what got me!
While I'm not a fan of the redesign, its hard to rebrand anything like this and I commend you for tackling something so iconic.
All I think of is that vine- “Pronouncing things incorrectly” when he says “Cam P BELLS” 😂
I love watching how you'd tackle redesigning merch for singers, common product brands, and retail chains. Have you ever thought of redesigning the logos for common kids' shows, cartoons, or anime? Shows like Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Sailor Moon, One Piece, Dragonball Z, Looney Tunes, Yu-Gi Oh!, Power Rangers, etc.? That could be very interesting!
how the hell does kel make EVERYTHING look good,, her hair, her makeup, etc
& not to mention her designs, which are so cool and inspiring

you should redesign conan gray’s merch! i like his music a lot but the merch isn’t the best
Oh yes totally! I loved his sunset season merch, but the current one not so much
@@henriquejambu I dont think I've actually seen his sunset season merch!
Lindsey Shane it played with some logos like 7 eleven, Canon, Shell... it was back when he had a more vintage-y and colorful aesthetic
unrelated but i like ur pfp!!

These videos are so informative and entertaining and honestly just a whole mood. Much love Kel!
20:14 was the best design decision of this video. Moving the red line below the text looks so much better. Love how it turned out
agreeeeeeee!
"i'm soup-er excited" hehehehe ....
This year I started studying 'communicatie and multimedia design' and today I found your channel and it honestly has enlightened me so much! You really do a good job explaining what your doing and why, your voice is also rlly nice to listen to. Overall wanted to say that your videos are really helpful and I enjoy them deeply! You've got a new fan :D
I have to say, your color sense is so on point. Every single time I see your swatches, I fall in love with the palette.
Really cool how your final redesign turned out, Kel! It's always fun seeing the final product on mockups too. Also, I liked how informational you were explaining some of the technical steps you took in Illustrator. Great work!
no one:
literally . no one:
kel: hmmm not mad about that at all
THEY’RE BACK WITH ANOTHER DESIGN WOOOO
THE MAKEUP. THE HAIR. THE EARRINGS. THE TALENT. omg i can't handle how happy the vibes here are!! :D
You really understand your own style well, and have mastered adding personality into your designs!
I absolutely love these type of videos! One think that I find funny is how I usually don’t like the fonts you pick (just personal taste) and in the end they actually fit so well with the design! It really makes me see some style of fonts in a new way!
Looks so yum and comforting!
heyyy i love how u explain your thinking process during the design! always interesting to listen to xx
love this redesign! Always so much fun to see your take.
Smashed it. Really enjoyed the technical shortcuts and the workflow tips.
your makeup is sooo pretty!!
Love this, the final product is so cute!
My Halloween just got 10 times better! Grabbing my morning coffee and will be putting my feet up with my cat to watch this.
Your videos are so niceee I get so much inspiration and learn new things with these so tysm you literally carried my uni entrance portfolio ✨🥺✨
Wow I really like the redesign!!! I have to say I was kind of concerned when you chose Campblell cause its so iconic and "timeless" but you did a great Job!!
And did anyone else heart jump when we saw the burger king logo?? (lo-key my favorite one)
Love your style kel! Love your videos!!
my halloween plans just got cancelled due to the second lockdown so seeing this has made my day 100% better
Why you making plans during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. There’s a reason is worse now than it’s ever been. Because people keep making plans. Jeezus, get a life and stay the fuck at home
that texture though wowww, love this redesign
This redesign turned out so good! Love the vintage vibe in the colors and type and the way you mock up the final designs 😊Would love to see more of the technical side like you mentioned, maybe short form videos where you show how you achieve a certain affect. I feel like there's so many good nuggets you share throughout but it can be hard to keep up in these long form videos.
So many people talking about its not readable and stuff i have to say its perfectly fine for me. The placement of everything is really nice and i really like your redesign. It feels like the original but it has definitely a new and modern touch to it and that is always difficult to redesign especially such an iconic brand. Many people will say like blablabla not readable or something but since you stayed really true to the original feel of the brand and also the way you redesigned it is really smart i have to say you're spot on. Thanks for doing this i loved it and great work! I can definitely say that when people would see it in the store they would recognise it as Campbell's and not something else.
If I was at the store looking for soup, this design would confuse me. The brand is illegible without rotating the can.
I find myself constantly checking to see if you've posted :D I love your relaxing, educational vibe
PLEAAAASE share more editing/tech tips! It’s like a magician explaining their trick🙌🏼🙌🏼
Love your new hair and all of your designing videos, they bring me so much joy. You are an amazing artist
Love ur hair and ur work as always!!
Definitely love to see more technical stuff as you go. Love your vids in general, but really helps to know how you achieve some of your concepts better too!

HELL YEAH, just what i needed
2:53 The Universal Exposition is an international exposition which took place for the first time in 1851. In 1900, it's the fifth time that Paris hosts the event. It's a well known event in the whole world because it permitted to discover many innovations and artworks. It also brought international attention to the Art Nouveau style. It was a really influent event because it revealed the new trends to follow to all the artists of the century. La Grande Roue de Paris, la Tour Eiffel, the Statue of Liberty, the Atomium (in Brussels)... and many more, were all built for these events. In 1900, Campbell's Soup won a gold medal for their invention. That's why they decided to integrate the medal to the design of their packaging, as a guarantee of quality.
PS : Sorry for my english I'm french!
