They have no natural resources but import raw materials and use them to sell finished products to the rest of the world. They have the lowest number of public holidays compared to most countries and spend long hours at work. No wonder they brought about an economic miracle and transformed Japan from a completely defeated/shattered/humiliated country into a first world economic nation since the 60's. Many lessons here for people of nations that sincerely want a good life for all their citizens and their countries. A true example of economic success. For this to happen in India there should be real love for the country, good character, competence, integrity, honesty, incorrupt practice and experienced, competent, honest, highly educated, able leadership - bringing everyone on board to help build the nation with a standard of living we want to live in and are proud of. We are huge in number but with a low moral compass in leadership. Honesty is and always has been the best policy to peace and prosperity. Look at the Japanese.

I watched this interview completely. I really agree with most of the opinions of Justice Katju. Only changing this nation into a Non Democracy will never be a good idea. Many lessons here for people of nations that sincerely want a good life for all their citizens and their countries. A true example of economic success. For this to happen in India there should be real love for the country, good character, competence, integrity, honesty, incorrupt practice and experienced, competent, honest, highly educated, able leadership - bringing everyone on board to help build the nation with a standard of living we want to live in and are proud of. We are huge in number but with a low moral compass in leadership. Honesty is and always has been the best policy to peace and prosperity. Look at the Japanese.
