Much respect. Your level of commitment to professionalism and quailty with your work is really admirable. And that trick with the zig zag cut was slick. I've been installing over 20 yrs and you taught me something. Thanks and keep up the good work.
i’m a fitter myself and i personally prefer doing The left and right method, as it looks better for the customer. Also the quality that is put into these videos is outstanding and i’m pumped that you guys are gna start uploading more
Good job buddy, nice video I used to do the left and right method for most of my career until just a few years ago when I switched to the left and left method. Carpet obviously is made in rows and those rows are all made the same. The distance between each row of fibers is the same, when you use the left and right method, you put your join back together and you have now disturbed the distance between each row of fibers, it is not the same as the rest of the carpet. When you use the left and left method, the join goes back together with the appropriate spacing between each row of fibers, most carpets it don’t matter, just as you stated that .sometimes it does matter. Honestly, I think it is my OCD that makes me want to put the seam back exactly like it came from the manufacture.😂The way you are talking about joining your herringbone carpet and vinyl I also do that in hardwood looked vinyl and rock pattern, vinyl, and so forth, it is a much better join if it stays on a grout line. Good job, my friend on always trying to do better. You are a great installer.
I think it depends on the carpet, but mainly I use a thin/ unguarded row cutter, so I use left & left to keep the same amount of backing.. But I like cutting between the rows around the spindle vs cutting thru the loops.. Great videos btw
Thanks for all the help! I live in London, UK and recently got my hands on a kool glide iron for carpet repairs. I wanted to know which transformer do I need to buy for plugging in the kool glide into UK plug sockets? I’m not good with electrics, if you could help that would be much appreciated. All the best to the Trim & Tuck team
Very Good vid, but could you demonstrate an ` Invisiseamer` on patterned & plain carpets, thanks. Also, domestic bathroom & kitchen sheet vinyl install, with a super thick product, cheers.
Left and left works better on really thick cut pile carpet. On the thick carpet I find that I can’t get the backings to touch consistently with Left and right method.

I agree
Great vid keep them coming. One on a reverse bull nose would be great. Thanks
Noted!
Left/ right all day.
We do so many joins in Australia, as doortrims aren’t used so joining has to be good!
Keep the videos coming Salih, enjoy them!

I like the Zig zag method better. Plus I think the straight seam will grin some after a stretch is put on it
Good point 🙏

Tried it both ways and right and left is definitely the best way to do seams.
I agree.

Great suggestion!

I just use 1 blade and cut from opposite sides, saves having to mess around with the blades up and down.
I'm in the left and right camp.
👍🏻
On that flat weave zig zag all the way.
Be there for weeks if you had a long join to do
Hi Sal
Just change the music in beginning of the video. It’s quite boring. Everything else is good. Thanks
It's on for 6 seconds hahaha so random I didn't even notice
cool man
looks like youve lost some weight since last year

I thought I was getting fatter 😂
