Sorry to hear. I guess i was lucky, the cradle actually has an arc that is somehow easy to stretch once you put some WD40 in. I did not screw the pin all the way in. You usually have to do that, but because it was stiffer at the beggining, I did not realise that the phone clamp was stretch-able. You live and learn....

short USB cables rule! If it was longer, my phone was on the ground, maybe shattered by other cars.
I lost my phone when it fell out of the crable, i did not have the usb cable connected though.
