Not OP, I don’t use the Biore one anymore because the old version (not sure about the new one) had alcohol in it and it dried out my skin but I also have drier and sensitive skin. I do think it’s worth trying though! You can always resell on Reddit if it doesn’t work. :) I currently use Purito because I can’t handle sunscreen fragrance.

Personally I know a lot of women that are required to wear makeup to their jobs, for example, when my sister went to her first job interview in a restaurant she went with a bare face and the manager told her that a requirement for women in that place was to wear a "modest makeup". That's how the world works.

What an utterly ridiculous reason to be not speaking to your parents and to have had problems with them for years over it. Perhaps your parents worked their asses off to give you the life you have today so they don't understand your 'frivolous' purchases. Also frivolous has nothing to do with how much you spend. A purchase doesn't have to be expensive to be frivolous. I would saying buying more products than you can possibly use before they go off is frivolous. Especially in a time when our planet is dying and overconsumption & greed is a huge cause of that. Now maybe you don't do that. Maybe you only buy products you use daily and your parents are hard on you for that, but it's still an insane reason not to talk to them.

For the past couple of months I have been using the “CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser”, which if I’m not mistaken.. is what you are referring to. Personally I am seeing some decent results with my current skincare regimen, which does include the cleanser specified earlier in my comment, as well as a lot of lotion during the day and at night. When paired with my personal favorite spot treatment for acne, I have found that my blemishes have started to significantly reduce in size, severity, and frequency. I highly appreciate you taking the time out of your day to offer some helpful insight! :)

Differin gel has a 6 week turnover rate where you’re flakey and dry BUT if you use it every single night, after two months it turned really hydrating and doesn’t sting or burn or dry me out whatsoever! I do have more dry skin now and I have cystic acne, so I’ll share my routine with you(I’m 26 but this could still work for you;
I don’t cleanse in the morning because it strips my skin, I just use the Indie Lee COQ-10 toner with a cotton round on my face, then I apply hyaluronic acid (good Molecules is a good one), and then the Barr Cosmetics centella calming moisturizing cream and Krave Beauty sunscreen. At night, I double cleanse with either Then I Met You cleansing balm or the Biossance squalane cleansing oil, then the good molecules rosewater cleansing gel, then the toner, hyaluronic acid, Differin gel, Great Barrier Relief, and then the moisturizing cream. I always say that your nighttime routine should be more hydrating and in depth than your morning routine, which should be the basics. After 3-4 months my skin is plump, my acne has gone down a ton, I have no more cystic acnes, and I’ve just started adding a vitamin c in the morning for the leftover PIE on my cheeks. I hope this helps you! 💕
