Could a company that has only been around for just over a year have created one of the best mice of 2023? Well in this LAMZU THORN review I'm going to take a look to see if this is another banger from LAMZU.

@@dobiloru Different shape though. If I wanted a deathadder shape, I'd just get a DAV3pro. The slightly more rounded rump makes thorn shape more appealing to me, despite being a little small mouse overall.

@@jasonjennings8465thry are rlly different, the thorn have a smoother hump that made it fit for any hand size, the ec2 ir any of its clone and the dav3 shape is more aggresive and feel a little bit taller, that eould feel pretty weird for long gaming session (4 hours+) and ive used most of the ec 2 shape clone and i would stila choose thorn all day long

I think this IS the mini version. If anything they need an XL of this one to fit the ergo meta. Also, there's nothing wrong with Lamzu's software experience. Mouse software should be as minimal as possible, and should never ever be required to run in the background at all ever in any universe or any timeline under any conditions omfg.
i just ordered it thinking it was a larger ergo mouse, now im reading this is MINI?? Bro when is someone going to make a mouse for human fucking hands. Mice for ants keep winning. A g703 superlight would change the industry rn..
About the coating, if it is durable then it would win a lot of points with me simply for that. A good last lasting matte finish yes please. This mouse looks tasty in every other respect too ... thank you for the video.
I agree. My pwnage mouse I’ve had for only a year, the left click button has kinda gone shiny and smooth like keycaps typically do and I hate it

Looks like a lighter, wireless Vaxee Outset to me too. I always wanted to get the Outset (ergo popular among pros), but the cord and the weight kept me away from it. So maybe the Thorn would be the better choice.
they got a 74g wireless outset now. mostly sold out unfortunately at the moment though
Hey man. I just want to say thank you for this video and opening my eyes to what really good mice actually are. I'm coming from a Corsair Dark Core Pro RGB wireless because I thought that was the pinnacle of gaming with a heavy weighted mouse and such because that's what I read online. I just finally received my Lamzu Thorn in the mail today and holy cow! The complete opposite of the Corsair weighted. It feels like I'm not holding anything, like I'm holding an egg that was emptied and the material kinda feels like an eggshell too. I put on the rubber stickers and the sticker on the bottom just to do it. Not sure if I needed to or not. It is truly a world apart. The software to customize is very simple, but honestly coming from iCue, I really appreciate it. It doesn't need anything more than what the software offers. Thank you for opening my eyes to what a great mouse can be! Keep up the good work! 😊
I got the Fnatic version of the Thorn recently. Wow, it's an amazing fit for my hand. I love how the shape of the mouse fits into the inner part of my thumb, something that the G703 was missing. Clicks are nice with no noticeable overtravel with gaming and regular use.

Yes. Every fucking day I wait for anything even remotely close. Even if that day ever comes, im sure they will fuck it up somehow (bad coating, changing side buttons, god forbid they alter the shape). Probably remove the dpi button too (people think gamers are allergic to keybinds i guess)

The np01s is damn nuts too. Also a very good ergo small shape. (I like it better than the DAV3 Pro)

I despise mouse and keyboard software. I don't fucking care if shit glows. I just want a comfy mouse/keyboard. Good ergonomics, a nice clicking sound and smooth gliding on top of my mousepad is literally all I want. I really consider buying this!
Amazing review, I was stuck between either getting the Xlite V3 or Thorn and this video has made it very clear that the Thorn is the better option for me.

Im currently using viper mini but the side buttons are kinda dead and the scroll wheel is also dead, im trying to find a small claw grip mouse, i heard of Xm1R but it's not available in my country

One question, how is the battery life? Because beside Logitech and razor everything else have hard time to manage battery or turn off when it’s not used. So instead of charging every 3-4 week, you have to charge every f… week.😅

Ive heard the black variant is less chalky and has a coarser feel to it
i wonder what the latency and tracking are like. If I'm spending at least $100 after tax on a mouse, I'm not going to try and save $50 to get a compromise. For now, that still means Razer's Viper V2 or DAV3. Lowest click latency, best tracking, best sensor, etc. I'll get used to whatever mouse I buy as long as it's not some Megatron monstrosity, I don't specifically keep trying to find one particular Goldilocks shape.

It's either this or the Ninjutso Sora 4K for me. Still on the fence as to which one I want.
Pro athletes using chalk to get better grip-> e-sport enthusiast complaining that their mice feels chalky while looking for the best grip. Jokes aside i main Atlantis OG v2 and everytime I use pro x i cringe. Lamzu ruined mice for me, ye their mice isn't perfect but so close. Can't wait to try the Maya.

3d printed mice use the internals of existing mice (typically Delux m800 Pro or G305) so if you're looking for performance, check those mice out. Otherwise, it's just a reveiw of a recycled shape.
This has nothing to do with the review itself but at one point you listed some bad optical switches, amongst them the roccat titan. One thing about this switch that you maybe didn’t now is, that roccat mice are really much used in the Minecraft PvP community -……BECAUSE THEY CAN DOUBLECLICK EASILY- which is important in Minecraft PvP (so it’s more or less on purpose)
No roccat did not make a mouse specifically for Minecraft. They made a bad mouse and people still bought it because they play Minecraft.
For larger ergo mice, is the deathadder the one to get? Looking for one similar in size. The closer the to logitech g500, the better for me.

I don't like hight pitch clicking sound. I love more clunky a4x7 sound, but I'm just tired of it's bad sensor. x7 constantly too fast on hight DPI and to slow on low. There's no middleground like on some model of Genius Ergo

My issue with the atlantis mini is the scroll wheel gets build up of dust easily and doesnt register scrolls properly. Fix is to just blow into it super hard. Or be a pepega and open up the mouse and clean it t and lubricate it

How is stiff are the M1/2 compared to the DAV3Pro? Or do they have overall similar feeling to those?
Dont have dav3 to compare but the Thorn clicks I'd say are right in the middle. Not heavy but I wouldn't say light either. Feels just about right for me personally, might vary unit to unit
The coating is exceptional. Once my hands are warmed up it’s very sticky. I like this mouse a lot.

hay how does the shape/size compare to the g403/g703? ive used g403 for over 7 years now and might wnna try sumthing different
also how does the clicks feel? u know how logitech clicks r known for its super light and snappy feel, how does this 1 compare?
altho the newer logitech switches are different since 2021-2022, im talking about the golden years before they made the switches slightly stiffer so before 2021

If you REALLY enjoy the g703 shape, I think this mouse will be solid for you. If you use a g703 with relaxed palm / using palm control with that back hump, the Thorn will do you well.
Just switched to the Thorn from the g703 and it's giving me exactly what I needed for the shape. They aren't identical, but if you need that back hump for control, this should work. Also the 52g and amazing coating make it super easy to control. Very much enjoying it coming from a g403/703

@@io-rj6sk I think i still prefer the shape of the g703 in an ideal world, but im gonna have to use the thorn considering its HALF the weight of a g703. The thorn is far more comfortable for the lower weight and coating alone. But yeah ideally they will release a g703 superlight and I would probably prefer that to the thorn because the shape is perfect.
Clicks are similar in terms of actuation or pressure needed. But the thorns feels a little punchier and clickier. One reason I started looking for an upgrade was the clicks on my g703 over a few years got gritty. Both brand new though, I'd say pretty similar, g703 is light and crisp, the thorn feels more medium and clicky.
That stuff probably varies unit to unit in both brands though

Im wrist gamer, pincer claw or hybrid palm/fingertp ? 17/18x9 hands size (i have used razer abbysus, deathadder elite, xtrfy m42 and atlantis mini) shoud i stay with mini pro or thorn ? Thank you! i really like your videos, im very insecure picking a mouse i over analize
try the atlantis mini more if you're unsure if you like it, it can take a while to adjust.

Im looking for a lightweight g703 and can't, i have model d wireless and the hump is not there, mouse is too small for me...help
theres fucking nothing bro. youre closest option would be the vaxee outset wireless. But youre losing the dpi button, its still 74g which is heavy-ish in terms of lightweight mice. Also, its sold out currently. I fucking hate it dude why are people so allergic to large lightweight mice that also have more than 2 buttons

yeah thats a great mouse if you dont need the back hump. thats the crucial part of the g703, only mouse to share a similar shape is the vaxee outset ax but you lose a dpi button and its $130, and sold out. lifes hard for a 703 enjoyer lmao@@pav1u
Yo just got this lamzu thorn in the mail. If you love the g703, I think you'd really like this. What you love about the g703 shape, this does for you. It has the back hump / thumb hump necessary to give you palm control. Also the 52g and coating makes it very very ergonomic and easy to hold.
Not the *exact* shape of the g703, it's a little more shaped and asymmetrical. But this will definitely replace my 703 for now. Everyone's hand is different, but the Thorn really fills the g703 gap for me.
Side note: I just got it but loving the quality. Clicks, mouse wheel, side buttons, coating etc all VERY solid. Only minor complaint is scroll wheel has a slight rubber squish to the material, probably just preference if you enjoy that or not.

Ergonomic mouse is not worth it as you lose to much micro adjustment control
I have both and still it feels to me the dav3pro is better in comfort and performance and the price gap between both is not so shocking for top tier mice, although I agree you pay razer's brand and less for lamzu's brand as the enterprise soul are discontent ex logitech engineers; as many other products in the market sometimes you pay more for the brand than for real quality, which is not the case with the dav3pro, you pay both and get both. but as you very well sate, is a matter of opinion and of every single player experience. It's just an opinion, really, don't take my comment as harsh criticism, which is not, as I do really also love the thorn; and your nice video, btw. cheers
