Literally the only thing on the entire property worth seeing. They could demolish literally everything else leaving just the WDWRR and I would not be the least bit upset.

Cool that Roger is back in service. It's interesting to see that Walter is pulling Roy's consist though. Roy's getting refurbished sure but I wonder why they changed the sets around.

Most likely because Walter's coaches are under maintenance at the moment.

The No. 3 Roger E. Broggie recently returned to service on February 21, 2024. I'm happy you were able to catch him in action! The only locomotive not at the Magic Kingdom at this time is No. 4 Roy O. Disney, which is now at the Strasburg Rail Road workshops in Strasburg, PA, awaiting its refurbishment. Roy is the last locomotive to be refurbished as part of this refurbishment program, which began with the No. 2 Lilly Belle back in 2010. Here’s the timeline of locomotive refurbishments for Walt Disney World:
No. 2 Lilly Belle: overhauled between 2010-2016, returned to service in November 2016.
No. 1 Walter E. Disney: overhauled between 2016-2020, returned to service in December 2022 when the railroad reopened.
No. 3 Roger E. Broggie: overhauled between 2019-2023, returned to service in February 2024.
No. 4 Roy O. Disney: overhauled between 2024-present. Estimated to return between 2027-2030

At least they didn’t tighten the bell too much like they did on Walter, or pull off another EP Ripley.

@@Steamfan1 I would have screamed if the swapped the bell, especially because Roger Broggie himself requested this bell as he disliked the original one. The bell on Walter, on the other hand, seems to have been loosened compared to when it first entered service.

Glad to see Roger E Broggie back in service, personally I prefer the darker green. Great footage!

Strasburg gave Roger the best overhaul thus far. Besides the repaint, the text font and the tender logo are all brand new.

@@davidng2336 agreed, they definitely do a great job. Itll be nice to see Roy nice and fresh once its completed in a few years.
