Why use a thumbnail of one fridge and then have the video be about an entirely different fridge style? Very misleading. How do you swap a bottom freezer model whirlpool fridge door?
First of all. This video is very clear. thank you.
But this explanation is for refrigerators that are prepared to reverse.
If the appliace is not prepared, the are no holes, it is ncessary to measure where to drill.
If the door has a display or control planel, it is necessary to rewire.
If the handle is a part of the door, an extra handle is needed.
And if the hinges are not turnable, it is necessary to replace (and find them on the market!!)
Thanks for this helpful video! I used it on an older white (not stainless steel) Frigidaire and the only difference was the handles were not set with a T10 torx bit, instead there was a little bit of finish at the bottom of the handle that slides straight down and off.
So if anyone is looking and doesn't see a torx set screw, see if the bottom part of the handle can slide off.

With food in the refrigerator im thinking of putting plastic in front with tape to keep it still cold while doing the swap unless someone has another idea on that part , and also we must make sure we have all the tools needed before starting this i notice it takes a lot of different sockets and screw drivers . Thanks again ~
Most refrigerators we work on use a 3/8 socket and a Phillips screw driver bit! As for the food, If you can do it in a time efficient manner then it would be fine. If not; maybe a cooler or spare fridge/freezer

Mine came with stupid plastic screws that broke off, the little black plug to hide the hole, the plastic screw is now stuck in the door. So I guess I can't reverse the effing doors now unless you can tell me how to get the cheap plastic broken screw out

Hey Michael, they don’t really have a certain name, but if you reach out to the manufacturer, they should be able to help you with getting new ones

Most likely one of the hinges that the door sits on has to be tightened. Make sure this is fixed or you will get thick ice build up everywhere in the refrigerator!
So much left out. Door reversal kit and how that works, is it included with fridge purchase? is the hinge cover separate from hinge. how to remove/reattach them. how to use power tools. A girl doesn't know this

My fridge doesn't have the opposite screw holes and hinge holes on the door needed to switch. Strangely, the main body of the fridge does have the opposite holes. Just not the door 😢.
I will just have to endure being annoyed by this for as long as I live in this rental.
You basically NEED that drill. They always tighten at LEAST one bolt WAY too tight from factory to where if you use a screwdriver you will strip it. So having a drill to force that out is basically mandatory.
I could agree with this! Sometimes those bolts are in there extremely tight and having a drill with a little more power makes the job that much easier. Thanks for the comment @gadgetman

I meant to say the screws that broke are actually silicone in and on top of the freezer, also the one hole that doesn't have the broken screw stuck in it, the screw from the other side doesn't even screw in. My daughters boyfriend took a look at it and said its definitely not reversible. The sales man had said if was before purchasing it
@@nicoleatkinson5002 I looked at the model. This model is definitely reversible, and follows similar instructions to what is shown in this video. That being said, it uses 8mm socket screws, and they're a little tedious to get out.
If possible, i would exchange it if you still can and just get a new one. don'

So this is a fridge designed for door swap. What about those that aren’t? Your title says ANY fridge door. I have one that doesn’t come pre-designed by the company for door swap
yeah nah, not ANY fridge only fridges that have fittings to reverse. so ANY reversible fridge door fridge is reversible. that would have been a
more accurate title.
Well obviously you can’t swing a French door refrigerator or side by side refrigerator aha. I think that’s fairly self explanatory.
Most 18CFT fridges like seen in this video have the option to be reversed

I’d just by three new bolts to be honest! If you can’t remove them, you might need to drill them out.
