Elliana and Lilliana both have something of all three girls, especially now in season they both have gotten alot better. Lilly eveb got a perfect score like Maddie and Kalani did and Elliana won the TDA like Brynn and Kalani did.

Areana was an amazing dancer but i think the reason Abby chose Lily and Ellie is because they dance very similar. They are both crazy flexible and can do all kinds of acro (which Abby loves) so they can do duets really easily
That and also, Areana was eleven and only a year younger than Kenzie. So she wouldn’t have been a mini for much longer. Therefore the producers couldn’t have had much of a rivalry between the two minis, since Ari wouldn’t be a mini anymore
If Abby had chosen 3 mini/junior dancers from the team I believe Areana would have been the other. She was a little older and been a good age gap person between the two teams. She may have been able to fit a little better into the team to start with than Maesi as they had worked together before.

Especially because Lilly and Elli are very similar dancers, whereas Areana and Kenzie are pretty different so it’s harder to really pit them against each other. And Abby wanted minis, not juniors. Areana was 11, and at most comps mini is 8-10 so Areana technically wasn’t even a mini at that point anyways. Also, the Ziegler’s weren’t there for very much longer anyways after the minis got there and I’m assuming the producers knew that.
@@Dancer17279 yea but they tried to make Brooke and Payton Ackerman be rivals but they revealed that they were quite close and they were so different in terms of dance Brooke was a acro-contortionist and a soft fluid tranquil technical dancer whilst Payton was a upbeat hard hitting sassy performer same with brynn and Kendall and brynn and Maddie Maddie and kalani aswell the only rivals that worked were from seasons 1-4 bc they were seemingly more natural and not forced and of stage the girls were each other’s biggest supporters and best friends on and off camera and before the show it was a healthy rivalry

dasty the score sheets shown on camera was real, it’s against dance competition rules to take bribes and make another person win, so if those score sheets were fake and Chloe actually won, the competition company as well as lifetime would get in SERIOUS trouble. They wouldn’t be so reckless

Laureanne’s choreo is fantastic from an artistic perspective. It’s just not meant for competition. Abby’s failure to push them and obsession with winning, as you stated, is why her dancers regress. Laureanne was definitely a much less toxic coach though. She encouraged them to grow as artists and they seemed happy to work with her.
Corii Grace this may just be me but I don’t think they should be compared.. chloe is better at ballet and Maddie is better at everything else. I think everyone should really compare people who constantly do lyrical or jazz people instead of people with different strengths.. :)

My small unpopular opinion (more of of a question really): Why is doing childish choreography such a bad thing? Childish choreography can be really fun and I don’t understand why there’s such a negativity towards it. Ik it scores less well but why instantly attack any dance that isn’t ‘mature’.
I know a lot of people say that Maddie rushed in be anything but it’s not the exact same song as the used two different singers. The instruments and everything just felt a bit faster to me so that’s why I think Maddie was rushing more I think it was just the musicality for that version of the song if that makes sense

I think part of the thing with the minis being better than the juniors is that the dance competition world changed DRAMATICALLY in the time between the juniors being young and the minis. Honestly, "Dance Moms" is a big part of that: the competition world grew exponentially. Before there were very few dance studios at competitions and it wasn't a huge deal. Now there are thousands of competitions and thousands of studios go to compete. It's not the juniors fault, the competition world just changed.
I think it was less that the minis ‘ruined’ season 6 and more Abby just didn’t really wanna be there anymore and it showed. It was a filler season until lifetime could get Chloe back imo

Season 6 had some of my favorite group dances of the whole show. Ellie and Lilly were so hard to choose between! They’re both so good. Same with Chloe and Maddie early in the series.

unpopular opinion- kendall is sooo overrated. she was one of the weakest dancers on the team if not the weakest. she is just as good as jojo except she has no emotion. and i never saw her improve.
I think Kalani and brynn were better technically but Maddie had better emotion and overall stage presence and that is why she won a lot. She might not have the best technique but she was just so amazing to watch
I think the reason Areana wasn’t invited back is that she didn’t pick up quickly. Her technique was great, but I remember Abby saying at some pyramid that she didn’t pick up choreography at the same level as her dancing. And the whole point of dance moms is that you learn a new dance every week 😂
I think people can say whatever about maddie getting too much attention on the show and maybe not being the most talented dancer, but she's the one out there doing professional work now and making something of her self. Same for Kenzie, Kendall, and Kelani.
I don't know if you already knew that but Abby invited Ari to rejoin the team. It was her mom who didn't allow her to go because of her brother. Sari couldn't stay too far from her son because of his illness
In Chloe's defense, she lost her passion in season 3 because of how she was treated, and in season 7 she wasn't dancing like she was when she was younger because the stopped from the traumatic experience.

I ADORED "Bully"! Kenzie did the same thing over and over and over and over for YEARS. She only got Acro dances, and if it wasnt acro there was just a bunch of acro thrown in. This was the only dance i seen Kenzie do where i wasnt bored of the same old same old, i think her preformance for 'Bully' was flawless (im also not a dancer and have close to 0 knowledge other than straight legs, no sickled feeet and point)
Laureann’s choreography wasn’t competition choreography. That’s why people don’t like it. It was different for the girls to perform and for us audience members to watch because we are so used to a sassy jazz or a pretty lyrical. Her choreography was more modern and for more entertainment than competitive.
With number six ( Kalani and Brynn are both better than Maddie) I kinda agree and disagree. I wish that Abby gave Maddie more challenging and different choreography because I think she would have improved a lot more and she would have been as good as Kalani and Brynn. But Maddie is still such a good dancer. No hate plz 😊
some of mine: i don’t HATE melissa; she cared a lot about the kids and didn’t deserve a lot of the crap she received from the other moms christi should’ve laid off of melissa; okay seriously, accusing someone of having an affair because of an argument over dance? that’s too far (but i love her now) i like yolanda; i’ve watched many interviews with her and she mentions how all the crazy stuff she does was forced by producers and that she knows her role on the show. also, if you looked outside of dance moms, you would see that stacey and yolanda are friends, and there’s no hurt feelings from the ‘choking’ if she got the same attention, elli would have been the next maddie; i don’t know if this is unpopular, but i wanted to put it out there just in case
I like to think of it like the moms are actually playing characters, not being themselves. Ex: I hate Yolanda as the character on DM but like her in real life.

I think it is hard to compare the junior elite team to the minis because the junior elites were the only team and were given challenging choreo whereas although they were similar ages the minis where always seen as the youngest and weakest so were given easy choreo
I think many peaple hate season 6 because almost all the og's were gone, which were the girls everyone wanted to watch. We all missed chloe and Christi, paige, brooke, and right before season 5 ended, the Zieglers left. I feel like the show losts its touch in season 6, and I personally didn't really like the new moms. Ellie and Lilly were so hard to choose between! They’re both so good. Same with Chloe and Maddie early in the series.

unpopular opinion- kendall is sooo overrated. she was one of the weakest dancers on the team if not the weakest. she is just as good as jojo except she has no emotion. and i never saw her improve.
I think Kalani and brynn were better technically but Maddie had better emotion and overall stage presence and that is why she won a lot. She might not have the best technique but she was just so amazing to watch

I think the reason Areana wasn’t invited back is that she didn’t pick up quickly. Her technique was great, but I remember Abby saying at some pyramid that she didn’t pick up choreography at the same level as her dancing. And the whole point of dance moms is that you learn a new dance every week 😂

I think people can say whatever about maddie getting too much attention on the show and maybe not being the most talented dancer, but she's the one out there doing professional work now and making something of her self. Same for Kenzie, Kendall, and Kelani.
I don't know if you already knew that but Abby invited Ari to rejoin the team. It was her mom who didn't allow her to go because of her brother. Sari couldn't stay too far from her son because of his illness

In Chloe's defense, she lost her passion in season 3 because of how she was treated, and in season 7 she wasn't dancing like she was when she was younger because the stopped from the traumatic experience.

Maddie is so overrated!! Chloe, Kalani and Brynn are all better than her... what makes her special is her facials which first of all aren’t always good and second Nia & Paige also had AMAZING facial expressions

I ADORED "Bully"! Kenzie did the same thing over and over and over and over for YEARS. She only got Acro dances, and if it wasnt acro there was just a bunch of acro thrown in. This was the only dance i seen Kenzie do where i wasnt bored of the same old same old, i think her preformance for 'Bully' was flawless (im also not a dancer and have close to 0 knowledge other than straight legs, no sickled feeet and point)

Laureann’s choreography wasn’t competition choreography. That’s why people don’t like it. It was different for the girls to perform and for us audience members to watch because we are so used to a sassy jazz or a pretty lyrical. Her choreography was more modern and for more entertainment than competitive.
With number six ( Kalani and Brynn are both better than Maddie) I kinda agree and disagree. I wish that Abby gave Maddie more challenging and different choreography because I think she would have improved a lot more and she would have been as good as Kalani and Brynn. But Maddie is still such a good dancer. No hate plz 😊

i don’t HATE melissa; she cared a lot about the kids and didn’t deserve a lot of the crap she received from the other moms
christi should’ve laid off of melissa; okay seriously, accusing someone of having an affair because of an argument over dance? that’s too far (but i love her now)
i like yolanda; i’ve watched many interviews with her and she mentions how all the crazy stuff she does was forced by producers and that she knows her role on the show. also, if you looked outside of dance moms, you would see that stacey and yolanda are friends, and there’s no hurt feelings from the ‘choking’
if she got the same attention, elli would have been the next maddie; i don’t know if this is unpopular, but i wanted to put it out there just in case
I like to think of it like the moms are actually playing characters, not being themselves. Ex: I hate Yolanda as the character on DM but like her in real life.
But Chloe’s You Can did beat Maddie’s Be Anything (the Abby going to see the judges and the mistake was all put in the show to create drama it didn’t actually happen)
Please don’t come after me for saying this, just because Abby has turns in most of the girls solos doesn’t mean that it’s repetitive. This is my opinion so please don’t put rude comments.

I think it is hard to compare the junior elite team to the minis because the junior elites were the only team and were given challenging choreo whereas although they were similar ages the minis where always seen as the youngest and weakest so were given easy choreo

I think many peaple hate season 6 because almost all the og's were gone, which were the girls everyone wanted to watch. We all missed chloe and Christi, paige, brooke, and right before season 5 ended, the Zieglers left. I feel like the show losts its touch in season 6, and I personally didn't really like the new moms. Also btw chloe won you can vs. Be anything, the producers just wanted to cause drama..
