What Makes This Singer Great? Bruno Mars
Who out there has had the opportunity to see Bruno Mars perform live?
In addition to being a great live performer, Bruno has that golden throat tone and the ability to make high range singing seem effortless.
Bruno's ability to deliver and execute songs really distinguishes his music for me and we'll see that here in two different live performances.
I also see such strong similarities between Bruno and Michael Jackson and even a little Stevie Wonder too.

Cool video thanks Ken... I was lucky enough to have great seats at a Bruno Mars concert recently and you are right, he is an outstanding live performer. His sets were relatively simple and didn't distract from the power, range and emotion of his vocals. One of the things I would say that does add a huge level of entertainment is his band, The Hooligans. Those guys are seriously tight. With talent to burn. Cheers, Mike.

Loved the way you highlighted the influences of other great singers throughout his performance - and when you said he did impersonations of Elvis when he was younger- thats interesting cos Bruno often finishes his live shows with "I'll remember you" a song written by K Lee (Hawiian) which Elvis always sang when in Hawaii- Bruno is Top Dollar 🤗🤗🤗😎

Great songwriting, crazy vocal range, and awesome performances -- those things come to mind when I think of Bruno Mars. He also co-wrote Forget You for Cee-Lo Green if I'm not mistaken.

What makes bruno this incridible vocalist, is not just he’s higher tenor range...manny can sing in that range too...what makes him so special is that he ADD these tone clolors to he’s voice. That’s where the hard Work is people, it gives this laid back warm tone, even when he sings relly high. It’s all about tone color!
That’s why it’s hard to imitate he’s voice it’s this warm laid back tone. That’s why bruno is in my opinion (the Best living male vocalist) not manny do that! It’s a great thing to do but it’s not esay!

Definitely Recommend checking out his live cover of All I Ask by Adele if you haven't yet!
He cowrote that song with her too, and it definitely seems personal when he sings that cover.
And in general he just makes it seem effortless to perform so well live!

Recently watched the new Linda Ronstadt documentary and ended up remembering all the sort of musical nepotism between her, the Eagles, JD Souther, Waddy Wachtel wnd so forth. How many hours a day you've practice d to reach that level of singing?
Ideally, you would spend at least an hour per day on actual workouts, and then any additional time using proper vocal methods on songs.

I really like your analysis of performers. Love Bruno Mars (who doesn’t, I know :). Would you be willing to check out Og3ne, preferably the Lockdown Version of Bohemian Rhapsodie? Even Queen liked and shared it. Their other stuff is really great too. Three sisters with spectacular harmonies.
