Honestly when you said you didn't know how to move on I felt that with everything in me 😭💔 my boyfriend of a little over two and a half years ended things with me on Christmas eve and the wound is still fresh we're on good terms but my heart just doesn't know where to go I'm just trying to take this day by day .. I think that you should keep her 😩🥺 she came to you for a reason and she’s definitely going to help with the emotional rides. I know people find it silly when you say such stuff but based on personal experience, dogs really do heal the heart in ways that humans sometimes can’t
I agree. So I have a dog named chica (a mutt) which my brother got a few months before his firend died. His firend was the one who said he should take it and without her I don’t think he could be as functional as he is today. Afterwards my dad found a cat atleast 2 years later. He died around 3 or 4 months later from a heart attack (we didn’t know he had a heart condition he was about to go to the doctor the next day go to the doctor y’all) but he left us with my fluffy cat Nova that we were not expecting to keep she was with another cat and I took her to the animal care center where I just started crying and kept her as she was getting bullied by the other cat. I’m not a religious person but I’ve found pets find you when you need them.

Not saying that the others can’t provide comfort, but maybe that little golden ball of cuteness is what’s needed rn (also im not trying to dictate his life, I’m just speaking on the effect that dogs can have on our emotional well being 🥺)

So true, I had two dogs and my relationship with each was completely different. My girl was really needy / anxious and depended on me for a lot whereas my boy would let me hold him like a baby, bark when he heard my room door open, and let me cry on him.
She would sleep by my head and he would sleep under the covers on my stomach.

You’ll probably never see this, but on the off chance that you do, I hope you find peace.
Break ups are hard, whether 6 months or 6 years. If you loved hard, losing the love will always be a giant hurdle. It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to grieve and it’s okay to not know how to move forward.
Remember this, you are strong. You can get through this. It won’t be easy and there is no set time frame. Just keep reminding yourself that, one day, it will be okay.
Every day, remind yourself of the qualities you’re proud of. Tell yourself the things you do love about you. Even if it starts with just 1 thing. Each week, add one more thing. It sounds silly but it does help improve your mental state. Also, do something just for you. Whether it’s a bubble bath or a hike. Just something.
What is meant to be will always be. You guys may find resolution to your issues and come back together. If that is meant to be, it will happen naturally. And if you aren’t meant to be, you’ll eventually be okay and find yourself and where you belong. Don’t rush anything and don’t hyper focus on either. Keep dating yourself and when you’re ready for either Avenue, you’ll know and you’ll know what to do.
I hope you consider keeping the puppy. It sounds like she was meant to come to you. Dogs are a great therapy and can help you feel loved and be able to love something and boost your strength. She came to you for a reason.

@@aimsbodley breakups are hard and can take time. It makes it even harder when you try too hard to move on. Sometimes people need to just go through the grieving process naturally. Eventually, they will find they have moved on.

2) Even if it doesn't have a good temperament now, if it is a puppy you can work with it to desensitize it to whatever it's acting adversely to!
Basically don't give up, that puppy will be worth it if you help it grow into a happy adult :) A lot of behaviors as puppies won't be present as adults.
@@BattleHaven1185 i’m trying so hard not give up on her , i love her but i don’t really like her. But she’s 8 months and still acts like she’s 3-4 months, just potty trained and less nippy . She’s my responsibility only, and nobody helps me so it’s incredibly stressful.

Large breed dogs aren't fully matured until around 2 years old, so you really have to put in the time to get the payoff once they calm down and become your whole world ❤ it sounds like you're young, so just keep in mind that if you ever want your own pet you are responsible for 100% of its care. It might be that after this one, you might not want another and that is just fine! To be honest, I also got a "Craigslist" golden in 2013 and although she had some issues (like not sharing stuff she really liked) she was the best dog I've ever had. She passed away at the beginning of this month. Hold your baby close and realize that the dog's love for you is sooo worth it.

Daniel I love you so much. Joey appears to be suffering as well. His christmas present video just broke my heart into several pieces. So here is my thinking. Can you and Joey attend couples counseling? Did you try that? If so, please try again. Another counselor can make a big difference. And then, maybe you can still be a couple but live in separate places but date each other care for each other and love each other. Just not live in the same house right now. I cannot stand to see you both in such obvious pain. Even when neither of you talk about it, it is still so very obvious. I did notice that there was bickering and friction during the last year that you were living together, but these things happen. You sail through all that. I am wishing the very best for both of you.

I was with someone for 7 years , I’m only 25 but I put my heart and soul into that relationship and got nothing but cheated on, abused and used. Although it was a nightmare , it’s been 4 years since we broke up and I’m still not over him. It’s so difficult to deal with and it’s gotten a little easier to deal with , I’m still not over it. I know exactly how you're feeling when it comes to moving on. I broke up with my bf of 3 years back in July due to many different factors and we're in the same boat as you and Joey where things ended well and we still talk to and care about each other even now. Even though we've both changed in many positive ways since then and it ultimately has felt like the best decision, I still think about him all the time and find that my heart hasn't changed and it's hard not to regret the choice that was made sometimes. It'll be awhile before I could ever imagine being that connected to someone else again.

I recommend putting a cover over the crate, to make it dark and cozy like a wolf's den; it helps with them settling in at night and feel more safe :)

Daniel and Joey seem to still be living the same life but doing it separately. Both fostering new dogs, both using (and hawking) that Tempo home training gym, both traveling and both still seem a bit lonely/sad/lost. I grew up with our golden lab who’s name was Lucy. She was named after Lucille Ball (because she had some Lucille Ball ginger-like hair).
I don't mean to overstep, and I do think you two should take some more time, BUT.... have you two talked about getting back together in the future? And don't get me wrong, I love both of you taking in animals to take care of, but is it for the "wrong" reasons? (Never a wrong reason, but you know what I mean? Kind of like both of you finding love in something other than each other, like a distraction.) I'm just saying, I know a few couples who were married, divorced, and then found their way back to each other when they both worked things out and got remarried, only to stay that way and very happy. I would just suggest you both truly look into who you were before, who you were together, who you are after, and if after you is better, can you still both be better versions while together? You both are awesome and it's rough to see you guys ever sad. Whatever the future brings, you both have so much support

I was so convinced that I was the only one he was seeing... until last Friday... he told me he met another girl and has feelings for her. Then he told me that he just didn’t have feelings for me... the “break up” did not end well... I told him we couldn’t be friends, I wouldn’t let him hug me or drive me home.... I just walked out of his house crying...
anyways... I know that our heartbreaks are different but I just want you to know that you’re not alone ❤️ I’m also hurting so so sooo much too BUT we will make it through and we will heal from it! We will learn to love again. Love will come to us but most importantly, we will love ourselves even more! There is so much love all around us already like friends and family, it’s such a blessing! ❤️ no matter what though, loving yourself will ALWAYS be enough. I know exactly what you mean about investing your time into the puppy, and moving on. I also went through a similar breakup as you in 2020. Me and my boyfriend weren't together that long as you but it still has been my hardest breakup yet, possibly ever will have. I also invested in my current pets and got a new pet snake that came unexpectedly in my life. It's helped me and also don't understand how some people can move on so fast and so well. Have you considered that maybe you two are meant for each other and maybe you can’t move on and maybe you just need to become individuals but ultimately you are meant to share this journey of life together? When I saw you in Joeys vlog I can feel that there’s still so much there. Obviously I don’t know the ins and outs, but I dunno maybe the relationship and you both as individuals needed a transformation, but maybe not permanently separate. Hope that makes sense 😘 xx

“And just let somebody go that you love for 6 years” that part made me cry. I understand what you’re going through, because I’m going through the same (kinda). Almost 2 years ago my grandpa died. Then 6 weeks later my pappy died. The in October 2020 my aunt died. Then in November 2020 my uncle died. How am I supposed to move on knowing I’m never gonna see them again. Knowing I won’t be able to talk to them. Knowing I have to live my whole life without them 😭💔
