I could tell you some very mystical things about this Kata. Been doing it since 1984. It’s such a magical Kata. And will kick your ass. My Sensei made me do it 25 times in a row. No stopping. Then had me do Tekki Shodan 15 times in a row. Even with a chair over my head. I still do it today.

I was learning from your video when your reply flew across again. It's really very detailed and very good. I felt like I was in a dojo.
After you explained, I began to realise that many of the moves were actually found in the Heian KATA, and once I get the directions and sequence right, Kankudai is not as difficult as it appeared at first. Still, I know I would need to put in many hours of practice...
I can see from your expression (even if I don't understand the language) and your English subtitles that you are very passionate about Karate. And you have very generously shared your knowledge online with anyone who has a passion for Karate. Oss.
