@@zakkaryfleming6539 I'm in the GTA area and got a chance to chat with PT for 20 or so minutes, as I bought the seat bracket off the E46 drift build. Pete really needs to wait till after you order parts to start drinking the Canadian Mist, seems to be a lot of misordered parts, probably the reason the stash is so big
Finally, You Tube builders smart enough to use OE-type suspension bushings. There are alternatives, some of which are very good. But the thing is, the ones that are very good are also VERY similar to OEM in hardness, or more accurately 'durometer'. If you can't get OE-type, those alternatives are life-savers. My C4 Corvette is a perfect example of that. There are very good reasons why manufacturers never use use hard poly bushes, even in their high-performance suspension options.
I've had awesome luck using Tremclad brush on oil based paint on calipers. Lasts years without discolouring or flaking off. This wagon is going to be a riot to drive!
Same here! Used vht many years now i just brush it on dont even need to take calipers off!! Did mine 10 years ago still bright red!! Same paint we used on firehydrids!
Awesome work guys! Been watching a lot of your stuff recently and I love it. Not sure how I've only just came across your channel, but anyhow keep it up! 👍
Painting the calipers with a light color base coat, definitely helps with the final paint layer staying more vibrant, blue over black usually gets quite dark, but yeah it's quite possible aswell that their mixture of the cans is a bit off hehe.
Happy to see the wagon getting some work too. Been awaiting this video to be uploaded. Appreciate this chanel for the work and how thorough you guys work.
By the way. I've noticed your subs are going up. Good for you guys, you deserve every single one. Your strategic rebrand seems to be working. Loving what you guys are doing!
If I'm not mistaken the StopTech calipers look like they are painted a Ford blue. If I remember correctly rustoleum used to make a caliper paint that color but I believe they still make an engine enamel that's that same color. It's not caliper specific so it's not rated to as high of a temp but it would match perfectly (or at least from 5 ft away).
I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to see an actual $6k challenge for car and parts and not a $6k car with thousands in parts. Still a nice build though as usual.
@@jordangarneau8817 I'm aware of that. I'm just saying I would like to see a 6k challenge, everything included, eventually also. I have no problem with what they are doing now.
Meyle makes a large number of chassis parts from many manufacturers. Use the parts for my BMW E46 and the E91 from my wife. The accuracy of fit and workmanship are great. Is very well known in the BMW scene next to Lemförder. Best regards
Just a fun thought about the brake upgrade: removing weight from down low will actually raise the center of gravity (ofc in this case itll be negligible but the effect does exist), but removing weight from the rotors will have a more noticeable positive effect due to it being rotating mass
You can use any paint to paint Calipers, if you use a VHT primer and a VHT clear over the paint you chose, I've done it loads of times, never had issue with the paint pealing.
Paint those rear calipers blake. No need to draw attention to them. Fronts look great! Did those sub frame bush on my e91. Huge project at the start of covid. The difference was amazing. Used condor bushings. Perfect balance in stiffness and comfort.

@@SinghM3 The problem is, used m3’s usually have the shit beat out of them. Very hard to find a clean example for reasonable money. And the problems don’t end with the rod bearings. If you like modifying cars, buy something with an LS motor.

Use regular spray paint that matches. I was in the camp of "you must use caliper paint to hold up in that environment" and it's not a huge deal. I've had caliper paint fail or fade and I've never ever had regular rustoleum fail or even fade. If you service the caliper when you are supposed to you can touch up a vibrant colour at that time.
