Asking for suggestions/recommendations: my RAV4 hybrid Limited 2019 mpg is at best 32 mpg. In winter 28 mph. I live in Anchorage, Alaska and gar is in heated garage when home. Fuel tank capacity is only 11 gallons. The local dealer did fuel diagnostics and presumably changed the fuel tank. However, nothing changed. This is excellent, thank you. I just wonder, most hybrids have the gas engine just to charge the battery pack when needed. It sounds like the Rav4's motor directly drives the front wheels? Otherwise, in a few days you will end up unsatisfied and will keep on complaining why I saw another RAV4 with this and with that...then you will start to try to modify it and add accessories and change some stock parts, then you realized you have been spending :)
Probably right, I think you get the best band for the buck in that trim, especially when you compare it to any of the luxury crossovers on the market.
Like your videos. Would like to see you review the Rav4 prime
This sopockie sound 5:20 is only in USA models not in Europe yeat. And this not electric sound, only warning sound for people arround you car. But this sound ist awsom in Kid from Night Rider
EV mode is only good @ 20mph and under as it is a drive mode designed for residential areas and parking lots. I have a 2020 XLE hybrid model and I am surprised at how much noise I hear in this video. The one I have is very quiet; but I agree, the hybrid mode with its trail, ev, eco modes is very nice to drive. The only thing I wish I had, is that sound system from jbl.
Do NOT pull the rear hatch down by hand. That will screw up the lowering rod. Already experienced this with a RAV4 and car washing people that did not know any better. Took over 1 hour to reposition the jammed rod and we have had to be very careful with it ever since.
Only negative is the funeral black interior. The last song was a good fit. The rest of the car is just SUPER. Good review, thanks!
THANK YOU for this video! What an awesome review! You explained everything clearly and hit on pretty much everything I was curious of. One thing I didn’t see was the sunroof. Does yours have it? I’m thinking about the pano ideally (if I can find one)
Watching your videos makes me want to buy a car now 😂 every car company should start paying you that’s how good you and your videos are
Did they fix that really bad noise when you drove fast down the lane like that
Noticed the door handles are too far forward? Someone said that they or someone they spoke to had troubles closing the doors on a hill as you don't have much leverage them being so close up to the front of the door.
Funny you should mention that. I noticed that and thought I was the only one that bothered. Not a major concern but it definitely was noticeable and felt odd.
Was watching another persons review of RAV4. That door handle made the list of things he hated
If anyone's in Canada, the RAV4 Hybrid LE is honestly a great value. It comes with all the safety equipment, including BSM and RCTA, and has heated seats for those chilly months.
Side note. I know automakers are putting safety equipment standard for that IIHS+ award and consumer demand, but damn, I know how to drive. Don't care for any of it. Just give me a $2,000+ savings.
Good deal but seems like there is quite a wait for one?
@@froggerc625 Huge wait. I've been waiting over 2 months for my XLE hybrid. It'll be here end of the month but if you can't wait, tons of other great choices.
@@Lucky8s We could probably wait but will be comparing to Forester and Outback before ordering anything.
The off-road variant looks fantastic with Tacoma styling cues. 🤙🏼🤙🏼
so did you end up getting one? i love mine, bought a 19 limited hybrid leftover. very nice to drive and in sport mode, its actually kinda quick for what it is. i did upgrade to the LED fog lights after purchase though.
Awesome review 🙌🙌
If you get the rav4 get the blue flame color!
I think we will be getting one ourselves in a few years too after the lease on our Niro EV ends.
Chris. Did you end up buying one of these? Would be curious which SUV you bought after all the models you have tested.
wonderful review thank you 👍
A lot of wind noise! Wtf
Of course, it's not a Lexus
The binaural audio amplifies it, it's not as bad in-person.
Thanks so much. Does the JBL stereo come standard with the Rav4 Hybrid? Or was that a premium feature?
A bit unrelated lol, but what kind of watch are you wearing? It looks really nice. I'm a watch person. As well as a car person.
Great content. The ride looked and sounded a bit harsh, but maybe not for this class of vehicle.
Just me or does it have quite a bit of NVH? How's the Limited's audio system compare to the one in the Acura RDX?
Yuanmei I test drive the Acura RDX ASpec- loved the sound system in that and I’d say the RAV4’s JBL. System is darn near comparable. I went with the RAV4 Hybrid Ltd in the end and don’t regret it at all 👍
it "sounds" noisy on the highway, alot of tirenoise. or am i being fooled by the recording?
These recordings kinda exaggerate the sound. But since the hybrid is so quiet u might hear more highway noise
The binaural audo exagerates it a lot.
Hey do you feel any vibration especially in the accelerator when giving it lots of gas ???
Hi
What kind of range you get on a full tank of gas?
Thank you!
The cruise control is more intuitive than the one in my 2013 4Runner. I’ve had this thing for 7 years and I still find the stalk under the steering wheel clunky and I still disengage it by mistake.
Which feels more controlled on the road cx5 or rav4? I am not a fan of cars that have no road feel floaty.
Absolutely loving my 2019 XLE Premium w/ weather package and JBL. Never had a nice speaker system in a car before and it’s great.
Have you had any experience with the gas tank not filling up all the way?
We just filled ours up two days ago for the first time. It did not fill all the way up. Another person on a different review said that it happened once and then they were ok. If on my next fill up I have the same issue, I'm definitely going to the dealer. It seems to be a common problem I'm seeing.
@@stacyfalcone692 toyota has acknowledged that there is an issue and is working to resolve it. i haven't run into the problem personally but some forum pos ts say that you can force those extra couple of gallons into the tank even if the pump thinks the tank is full.
@@justin2956 thanks. I wonder if they will recall to fix it. I've filled up twice since then without a problem. Not having the best of luck with my particular dealership though. Lol.
i was looking at a highlander hybrid because I want an SUV but want that sexy ass fuel efficiency. Completely forgot about the rav 4 hybrid! I think this may be the move.
I still fill max 11.1 gln and fuel efficiency is still 31-32 mpg. What else can be done? Was hoping to get a fuel efficiency of at least 36 mpg. Thanks.
Can someone explain this interior feel compared to the Subaru Forester’s? Seat comfort? Leg room? Thanks!
It's a lot more roomy and has significantly better rear leg room, I've test drove both.
What about the Honda CRV Hybrid?
I thought that it was the first toyota with incredible audio, then you mentioned "limited JBL/harmankardon system" and i got depressed again.
Does it feel like a boat?
No.
You need some weather tech mats or some Toyota all weather matts:)
This is excellent, thank you. I just wonder, most hybrids have the gas engine just to charge the battery pack when needed. It sounds like the Rav4's motor directly drives the front wheels? Isn't that over complicating things, to have both electric and traditional drive train? Does that mean more maintenance? Thank you in advance for any replies.
No.
@@phantasmagoric3934 lol! You backed up that statement with unassailable evidence, well stated factual claims, and a real gift for language. Thanks so much.

Would you consider getting a (used) Lexus NX instead of the RAV4?
Tej Singh The lexus NX is still better. More luxury cabin. The turbo engine and transmission are way more refined. But the new hybrid rav4 chassis give you more comfortable ride
@@Gforce000 Oh gotcha. I haven't driven either one so I don't really know too much about the two vehicles. Which one would you take if you had buy the (used) NX or RAV4 Hybrid?
Are you mph?
Winner winner rav4 dinner
They actually did come out with a Honda crv hybrid 2020
Yep, the day after I filmed this video 😂
CRV hybrid will be here for 2020
what does the mileage to empty give you when you filled up full tank?
I'd like to have seen the rear seats folded down, that's a big buying point for me.
Im getting 1 Next week, I saw 1 today and was like damn, my camry is a gonna
