Normally when he encounters something like this, he becomes so disheartened that he abandons the game. But he loves this one. My fingers hurt and my thumb is raw. This still wasn’t easy, but it worked. It’s all about position and timing your healing when you get the chance. I was cursing this game to the deepest circle of hell. Even despite the chandelier trick. I swore to him that I would never play this game myself. A textbook case of gamer abuse, I said. But now that I know I can do this, I think I’ll give it a chance. Thank you for this.

Lytic1000 Hey! Absolutely. Hollow Knight is a masterful game, however your success on this fight relies very much on RNG with the AIs actions as opposed you memorizing and adapting. It’s quite bullshit at times. So I tested out a few strats and this one allows you to bypass the BS.
I threw on unbreakable heart to fill the spare slots I had left over, and omg this became the easiest fight I've done the entire game! Thank you! I thought I'd be stuck here forever. Oh! And the chandelier trick because I was feeling extra cheap.
THIS HELPED ME SO MUCH thank you!!! i dont have thorns of agony yet so i couldn't get that extra damage but it worked pretty fine dodging a few extra times!

If you're struggling with this strategy, try getting more notch slots for the lifeblood charm for 2 extra hp along side the charms used in the video, and when you have two watcher knights together in a corner use desolate dive/descending dark on them over and over

Well for me it still doesn't work...I tried them 859 times now (I'm not even exaggerating) still can't beat them....this game is actually the only game so far that brought me to the point of giving up...this boss ruined every little bit of fun I had with this game. I deleted it now and will never touch it again. If this would have been an optional boss, okay then that would have been fine but the fact that this fucking RNG bullshit degenerate of a fucking boss isn't even optional ruins everything about this game....I'm normally a really calm, collected and patient person but this boss made me literally cry out of pure hatred and anger...I never experienced a video game boss that I literally hate until this one and I that says something since I pulled through Orphan of kos in bloodborne on BL4 and I played through most touhou games on the hardest difficulties...but I absolutely hate this piece of shit
@@akiraamamiya8483 honestly I felt this way about hornet 2 until I upgraded. Try looking for faces, nail upgrades, and do some optional boss fights to train and such Edit: also get shadow dash. You can go through them.

Another thing that I've found works if you're doing early spire (no monarch wings, early game equipment) and you don't have a lot of charm notches is stalwart shell, shaman stone and spell twister. Basically keep yourself full on soul at the beginning, spam the hell out of shade soul. kill the first one as fast as you can (4 shade soul and 2 nail hit is a kill IIRC). Then, it's just a matter of endurance. Try to keep them doing nail attacks while on top of each other to farm soul, then when they roll over to another side of the screen blast them. spell twister makes it SO much faster btw, do NOT shirk it. Stalwart shell isn't strictly necessary, but I find it's nice having the extra i-frames to get out of a bad situation.
I was having such a hard time with this boss because I couldn't do descending dark and manage my health but Defenders Crest, Thorns of Agony, Lifeblood heart, stalwart shell, quick slash and grubsong had me beating this in no time at all thank you so much!

I was wondering when I was going to have to brute force my way through a boss. Turns out it was these guys. Thank you for the video! I used a different build. I think this strat mainly relies on swift slash. Now I've kept swift slash on my build and it's taken a little getting used to but... Game changing.
What you also want to do is us the Soul catcher and Shamen stone to alternate between fast Melee attacks to build up soul and do massive damage and descending dark or Vengeful Spirit. Descending dark is especially good when they go all Sonic and roll into balls because of the invincibility. The second one of them goes down heal and keep with this stratagy.
I literally put a pause on this fight to search for weaversong in Deepnest to try a new cheese, but the I stumbles on this and tried it and it worked on the first try. Who knew brute force would work so well? Thanks!
Goddamn that was satisfying to see those bastards die so quickly. This was one of the hardest boss fights for me at first and I didn't know about the ceiling trick until after so I had to beat those 6 mfs. I think I had on: mark of pride, quick focus, grubsong, and steady body, a super subpar build in comparison :( But congrats on the cheese, I will use it in another save file (because I hate these guys so much) and good luck to everyone tackling this boss too!
