Slowdive's 3rd studio album was an unexpected change from Souvlaki. I'm not big on ambient music but this one gave me a new appreciation.

This album is a great ambient album, a terrible slowdive album. Dont get me wrong, i love this thing, i just still don't understand why they released it at the time. Still a unique release with solid tracks. Driving in the night with this feels awesome

I think why they released it as a Slowdive record is because they experimented with song structures and they made music for the film ”I Am the Elephant, U Are the Mouse”, 1 year before making Pygmalion.
