Hello Sean. Recently I have been publishing children’s books that I had written 40-50 years ago. I’m 83 so I guess you could say I’m the Gramma Moses of the literary field. When I was having difficulty formatting a prose and poetry book, my grandson sent me a link to you. Your videos and instructions are extremely clear to understand. I have 4 children’s books published but a little slow on reviews. I see you have videos on that aspect of being an author also. My son’s name was also Sean. He passed two years ago after a long illness at 56. Again, before this missive turns into a book on its own, I would like to thank you for your help and kindness in relinquishing your knowledge.
Thanks for this! I am doing this backwards -- I already published and I got two sales without any marketing, so kinda excited about that :) I came over here for marketing tips and you didn't disappoint. Thanks :)
Great information as always. I watch your videos from beginning to end - no fluff or filler just great information for book authors on how to sell, get reviews etc on Amazon
Hey Sean! Would you consider making a video about how to build an email list (and an audience in general) so that eventually I, and I'm sure many other subscribers of yours, don't have to rely solely on sites like Bookbite and Pubby? Thanks!
Thanks for making the time to share such valuable information. Your tips and information shared here is of great value. Definitely, I look forward to joining your program sometime soon.
You failed to mention that uploading an Advance copy of your manuscript (ebook) on these sites, means you're literally(pardon the pun) handing over the distribution rights to total strangers, no watermarks, no way to track the use of your book. It would be helpful if you would alleviate writers fears here in this area. Thank You!
Thank you for sharing such great insights.. Although I started with KDP years back but did not eat anything.. now I'm serious about it and wish to earn and your videos are a great learning source.. gratitude to you
Well, a few years ago, I hired a ghostwriter, got professional book covers made and paid for Amazon Ads. I made 20.00 from two fiction books. I failed due to lack of marketing. Marketing is so crucial. This time around I plan to build an email list first so that these books do not end up in the Amazon graveyard.
FYI ,Get book reviewed would not allow my Sudoku book. It has to have as much written content as a children's book. Pubby worked though, Thanks Sean. This is gonna be a huge help!
Hi, what category did you choose on pubby for you Sudoku book? Im Planung something simular but with a Word search book but dont know which category to choose at the beginning.

Hi Sean!, I was wondering when giving away a free eBook for promotional purposes to prevent unauthorized distribution, do most authors use a watermark inside their books, or they just leave the eBook pure for the best reading experience? I'm very new about book promotion
Great video! On these services, I assume you need to buy the other publishers’ books to review them? That would add expenses of doing this to the monthly fee. Or can you somehow review others’ books without actually buying them? Thanks!
Hi Sean, great video as always! I wanted to ask, do you think video ads on Amazon are effective for books? I'm looking to get a book trailer made for my novel but want to know if it's worth it before I proceed. Thanks.
Just to make sure I understand it correctly, I will send them a pdf of my book and they can review it on Amazon, even they didn't purchase it thru Amazon? Tnx a lot for all the great content!
Hi Sean! Great video. I have a question. Amazon is rejecting my few last reviews, because of unusual reviewing. Do you know how often we can leave reviews in order to this not happen? Thanks
Sean ... What if i don't want to read other people's books, will I still get reviews on my books? I am mainly interested in activity books and can't read long books. I don't mean to offend anyone and i respect other people's work but i have troubles being focused for too long and this is why reading is difficult for me. Long story short ... Will i get people to review my books? ( My books are activity books by the way)
Hi there, try us! You can definitely add your low-medium or high content book on our platform. We accept all kinds of books, a community of authors helping authors. Give us a try!
Hi there, be careful about review swapping. Yes Amazon will terminate your accounts for that. On our platform we have an algorithm that prevent this. This means user "x" can't review user "a" if user "a" already reviewed one of user "x" books. Give us a try! A community of authors helping authors!
Hey Sean! Can you tell me how can one review a book on Amazon without having to buy it? Does Amazon even allows this? Even if i send the pdf to a friend will he be able to review it just like that?
If I have 100 people that I send an ARC copy to should I? And can I do it via an newsletter service in mass or do I neeed to send the request out one email at a time?
Do you have a video how to offer free/discounted books for reviewers. I have coloring and other medium content books. So reviewers will have to get a real copy of the book. How does that work?
Is it a red flag to amazon if you're all of a sudden aggressively reviewing a lot of books through one (or more) of these platforms, but do NOT have a history of leaving book reviews?
Is it safe to send them a PDF, I have an email list but I'm not sure if some competitor will get my book and stole the idea or copy it etc ..what to do in that case please advise !
As I understood it, you send them a copy of a published manuscript for review. What he recommends is to start doing reviews for others before you publish your own.
Sean, how about low content book reviews? I have published 10 books since June and average 15-20 organic sales a month. But no one leave reviews? Should I gift friends with Amazon accounts t ask for a review?
I've got a question regarding reviews. As you said I would habe assumed that most reviews left through the sites are positive if your book is good, but what if it isn't? I requested to review a book with stories for children, but the book is just really bad. Is it better to leave an honest review or to cancel the review request? I don't want to harm another author but I also don't want to lie and leave a 4 star review for something that should have 2 at most...
Hi there, good questions! On our platform we suggest to cancel the selection and just select another book. We think that everyone deserve at least a 3 stars constructive review from a fellow author. If you think it's so bad that it should not receive a 3 stars with a constructive review, we suggest to choose another book. We think having no review at all should ring a bell to the other member and he/she could improve things instead of receiving a really bad review from a fellow author. Also, on our platform you can leave a private comment to your fellow author, there you can help another member from the community.
i don't understand this. how come i need to pay for monthly fee, in the meanwhile I need to purchase books, give them reviews, just to get points, which does not equal to getting my book reviewed. Because your books have to be picked, purchased, reviewed at the same time! It's like more difficult to achieve on Amazon even with money paid. And you have to give out a full version of your book LOL
A question please, if you give out books for free to get some reviews, you have to pay for them to distribute in the first place. So sending 100 books for lets say 9$ would mean 900$ So spending 900 before earning anything makes no sense to me. My main incentive to do this is to earn money because I am a low wage earner and I want to get rid of this cycle. So spending some money, which is big enough for me to make some money makes no sense to me. I would appreciate any insights, or tips which I can start without being forced to spend anything for my first book.
I just dont get this - you upload a PDF of your coloring book (cause obviously there is no EBook), someone reviews it. Great. BUT. They didn't Buy it. It's therefore not a verified Review. The Amazon algorythm Sees no purchase but a review. Four of those reviews and you get ba banned... What am i missing?
Hi there, seems about right. You're not just getting reviews, you are improving your organic ranking with traffic on your listing, you're gaining credibility with reviews to help you gain clicks and sales on your listing. Keep in mind that not all books are high content, so reviewing books like a coloring book is not as long as reading a novel. On our platform the price and the length of the book will affect the rewards, so reviewing and buying a high content book will give you access to maybe 2-3 reviews in return. Try us!
Great video Sean! I have a question. Can i Do it for high-content paperback books? It works like I send them a Digital PDF before relase and then after the book is live they have possibility to write a review on amazon? Does it apply to other marketplaces like germany, france? Thanks and wish you the best!
Hi there, On our platform you can add any kinds of books. Your book needs to be published to be added, asking for reviews before it's published will not be possible. People needs to leave a review to earn their points so your book needs to be able to receive reviews.
Hi Sean, how do these services work for low/ no content books (Eg. Diabetes log book). Do we need to send a copy of our book for people to see and review?? I'm wondering....Could you pls explain that.
I can tell you right now that Getbooksreviewed doesn't "encourage" low content. Pubby is fine with it. You just upload your file. I have an activity book on there right now and someone is currently reviewing it. Not sure about the other one.
Hi there, on our platform you can upload your book file, add only your listing link or do both. You select books to earn InkDrops and you'll earn InkDrops when you review others. With those InkDrops you'll be able to ask to be reviewed. The cost to ask a review and the rewards are based on the length and the price of the book. Try us!
Hi there, using platforms like ours should not be considered "paying" for reviews. You will improve your organic ranking with the action going on your listing, you will give credibility to your book with reviews, you will be more noticeable on the Amazon listing page with some reviews (book with no reviews tends to receive less clicks, even if you do ads).
Sorry if i missed it, but can you please explain how family /friends can review your book if they buy it? I heard this was not allowed and can get your account terminated
Hi there, following Amazon policies you should not ask your family to leave a review. Those 2-3 reviews are not what you want, you also want genuine reviews to help you grow as an author. Try us, we have 10 days free trial and a 0.99$ plan to start.
I only see bad reviews online about Pubby. And the first review they gave me, was rude, nasty and out of context. I am disappointed. Is it always like this?
Hi there, even if Pubby is a competitor you should always think of reviews as a learning curve. Someone leaving a bad review for his taste maybe the exact reason why another one will buy you book. On our platform every review is verified by our team and if a review does not follow Amazon guidelines or it's rude and non relevant it will be flagged to Amazon. Our community is made of authors helping authors so we are proud to say that most of our reviews are surprisingly really detailed.
Hi there, All books can be uploaded on our platform. To tell you the truth you should republish your book to give it a little boost, and after you have a new ASIN, you start promoting it and get reviews.
Pubby requires you to upload a book first before you can start reading other people’s content and start earning points. So do you recommend just uploading and asking people to add their reviews several days later when you launch? You mentioned a delay between reviewing for others and getting reviews at time of launch. How does that work with some of these settings?
These services are designed to get additional reviews once book is published but you could easily upload other books like a simple journal just to get approved by Pubby before your main book is live
Thank you for amazing recommendations! I belive I've seen the question before but sorry for asking again: is it allowed to make several Pubby accounts with different email adresses - to promote the same book?
They will block you if you do this. I accidentally created a new account, forgetting I'd done one before and they very quickly blocked both accounts until I resolved it, still charging me in the process. I don't much care for the customer service... but perhaps they've gotten better
@@SeanDollwet how do you manage the fact that, if using all the 3 together, you would end up leaving an enormous amount of reviews from your personal Amazon account? How do you avoid getting Amazon to block your reviewer account?
In my experience, the return from ARC is abysmal. Are there any review sites that don't rely on you also doing the reviewing? I don't have a lot of time on my hands to be reading all these books 😬
Hey Sean. Thanks for all your helpful videos. I created a pubby account with your code, but the website won't let me start reading to amass snaps. On the readr/library page, nothing happens at all when I click any genre or any of the top book categories. And their contact us support is via bot only and useless. There is no email escalation. Any ideas?
You need to upload a book in order to start leaving reviews. You can upload any book you have, if you have no book it can just be a simple journal. Their support is good just send them a message
Hi there, on our platform we only reward new reviews. That said, you could have read the book 4 years ago and never left a review. As long as the dates from your submitted review is similar to those in our system. Try us!
this is great, but how would I use (can I use?) any of these review sites with medium content books such as activity books, coloring etc... ? Thank you.
Hi there, try us! You can definitely add your low-medium or high content book on our platform. We accept all kinds of books, a community of authors helping authors.
I wrote a self help book. I wanted my first book to be special so I wrote it myself. Took me an entire week and had to complete 2 chapters a day but I soldiered through. I used to be a shy person and became confident. The book doesn't focus on my journey but rather I get straight into the meat. Providing methods based off of personal experiences that actually work In the real world, I know because it worked for me. I also show you how you can start a business for free. So there's a little bonus at the end of the book too. The reason I included it was because I know that people need something productive that will keep them busy and make them feel like their heading somewhere in life. If your interested in reading my book. I'm willing to give it away for free if your willing to leave a review.
I am not sure if is sure to do this practice according to KDP rules. I would like to ensure that is safe for our kdp accounts. Sean, are you sure about this is safe for our accounts?
He is not going to reply you ,unless you ask him many times his feeling very wow those days 😂. The Answer: yes it's safe but not good idea I don't really recommend it
Hi there, We can't speak for other platforms, but on our platform, we strictly follow all Amazon guidelines. Our algorithm prevents "Review Swapping," which Amazon prohibits. Our team carefully monitors and adapts to any changes in Amazon's guidelines to avoid surprises. Since big companies like Amazon can change their guidelines quickly and without warning, we have implemented multiple measures to stay compliant. Using a secure platform ensures you remain in good standing.
Pubby does not work for coloring books. You are required to submit excerpts from your books of at least 80 words, and that doesn't exactly work well with a coloring book.
@@SeanDollwetwatermark can be removed in one click ,Im sure you have already ARC team so you are not worry about that .for us it's real issue especially when we are taking about high content book.
Is this serious? Give a free copy and hope for a review? That would be thousands of dollars on no guarantee for a return. This was the most unhelpful video ever...
you should mention that u need to have amazon account with at least 50$ spent in last 12 months to leave a review, and if u cant do that pubby is esentialy useless

Hi there, All books can be uploaded on our platform. To tell you the truth you should republish your book to give it a little boost, and after you have a new ASIN, you start promoting it and get reviews.
So close to 100k subs
Let’s get it 🚀
@@SeanDollwet
@iartol it is 100K now :)
@@VisitLiveLoveMauihe deserves it 🎉🎉🎉
Would this work with Low Content books as well?
Can I get free reviews for low content books such as journals?
How many reviews I can leave on Amazon per week without purchasing books...as I am using free download option of these websites
@@SeanDollwet Good idea. I had not even thought of that!
@@terrenea.davenport7155 Thank you so much for clarifying my question!
You can only have one pubby account. But you can have one pubby, one get books reviewed, and one bookbite
@@SeanDollwet how do you manage the fact that, if using all the 3 together, you would end up leaving an enormous amount of reviews from your personal Amazon account? How do you avoid getting Amazon to block your reviewer account?
@@Mariaelena865 you can have multiple amazon account so lots of people have one account for each
So if I get 100 sales for my audiobook as an author on Audible, does ACX pay me for those same 100 sales every month or is it a one time payout?
In my experience, the return from ARC is abysmal.
Are there any review sites that don't rely on you also doing the reviewing? I don't have a lot of time on my hands to be reading all these books 😬
Is it possibile to use all of this 3 services in the same time?
In the video he says he uses them - all 3 at the same time
@@SeanDollwet thanks! I guess the support feature will unlock once you upload a book. As of now I'm restricted to chat bot support.
Can change the book you uploaded later I'm not sure !!
but can we review others books without buying it?
Hi there, yes you can!
do you have a video on how to publish an ebook on amazon?
He does I watched it lol
is it possible to get points for books you've already read?
I don’t think so. There are plenty of other books you can review though
Hi there, on our platform we only reward new reviews. That said, you could have read the book 4 years ago and never left a review. As long as the dates from your submitted review is similar to those in our system. Try us!
Plz creptogram is trademark or copyeight,?
this is great, but how would I use (can I use?) any of these review sites with medium content books such as activity books, coloring etc... ? Thank you.
Hi there, try us! You can definitely add your low-medium or high content book on our platform. We accept all kinds of books, a community of authors helping authors.
well, pubby dont work outside the US.
Yes it does
I am brazilian. Can I rewiew books on US Amazon?
Made a word document
Is there any site alternative for creative fabrica
The Answer: yes it's safe but not good idea I don't really recommend it
I can’t guarantee what Amazon will do but the website is taking all precautions to be as safe as possible. I use it so as many other top publishers
Why I cannot write a review??
Sean. Will this work for coloring books?
That's what I'm wondering
Not sure I would have time to read several books ...that doesn't seem like a good choice of time
👍
Pubby does not work for coloring books. You are required to submit excerpts from your books of at least 80 words, and that doesn't exactly work well with a coloring book.
It does work. Just email their support if you want to confirm
♥
I think pubby don't allow Nigerians also bookbite
but pubby charges. it's not with points.
What are you talking about? Besides the membership fee it’s no charge unless you select paid books to read. Can just review free ones
I would send physical books but not a pdf where someone will just steal your stuff and use it for themselves?
@@sharonkamelonline the chance of that happening is extremely low. You can watermark PDF
@@SeanDollwetwatermark can be removed in one click ,Im sure you have already ARC team so you are not worry about that .for us it's real issue especially when we are taking about high content book.
@@sharonkamelonlineif your book high content be careful it might be not good Idea to send PDF,I'm faceing same thought 😅
Please create these courses in SPANISH!!!!!
Is this serious? Give a free copy and hope for a review? That would be thousands of dollars on no guarantee for a return. This was the most unhelpful video ever...
How do you get an Advanced Review Copy? You mention ARC but don't explain much of 1 what it is and 2 how to acquire an ARC.
you should mention that u need to have amazon account with at least 50$ spent in last 12 months to leave a review, and if u cant do that pubby is esentialy useless
