Except bookbite is 300 a year so yeah you're paying 300 bucks for 40 reviews. I get that most internet hustles are about affiliate marketing and making money off people signing up for services you refer but I hate it when people clickbait with "free tools" that are actually very expensive. Guess it's just the nature of the game these days.
Hi there, the example Dane mentioned in the video is for one book, so you can get a lot more than 40 reviews in a year if you have more books. Also, that was just an example of one of our reader types; we have four in total. Yes, our unlimited books and audiobook plan is $300 a year, but we also have monthly pricing for users who want to take it month by month. We believe our pricing is very reasonable for the service provided and compared to the market already out there. In regards to the free trial, yes, we do have a 14-day free trial, as Dane mentioned in the video, where you can try out our services free of charge with zero obligations. If you try our platform and think it is not for you, feel free to cancel 🙂
Wait, let me get this straight, correct me if I'm wrong. You must give yourself 10 days buffer period for reviewers on Book Bite to find your book and submit a request and for yourself to approve whomever you choose to review your book (correct?), it takes Book Bite "usually 24 hours" (could be longer to approve) and then you must choose how long the reviewer has to read (3 or 4 days) So 10 days buffer period + 1 day (24 hours for approval) + 3 days (to review) Is that conveniently the length of the trial or am I just reading too much into that? What happens after the trial period ends? Do you actually have to pay to access the reviews? If so, then it's not free, and I don't know about you guys, but I really hate when companies give you a free trial, but you have to enter your banking details, 🤦♂
As someone who has been trying to accumulate coins by reviewing other people's books before i launch my own...the process sucks. You have to send a request before you can review most of the books, you can only send 2 requests at a time and a lot of the time no one responds to the request so it just ends up expiring after 24hrs. Then you repeat and do the whole thing over again and hope this time the books you choose actually accepts the request. An entire week can go by and you might only have had a chance to review 1 book. On top of that it seems like there are hardly any books on there to review.
KDP Select is a trap. Amazon get exclusive rights for 90 days. Page reads pay 10% of net (after royalties). I'm in the process of taking all my books off KDP Select and going wide. I'm getting hits on my website, I'm getting sales, I don't need it.
Thank you! Currently struggling with this. I recently released my debut poetry collection, something I have waited to do my entire adult existence, and there is an unverified one star rating on it with no other ratings 🤦🏻♀️ I know the book is well done and the poems were curated from over a period of YEARS. Hi Dane! Thank you for your video. As I understood, Bookbite can be use to get reviews for low-content books. I tried to make for a coloring book and I wasn't able to do it (I enter to "promote and advertise", and there is no option. Hi thanks for video. How does the $50 Amazon spend requirement to leave reviews affect Bookbite reviews? I mean from what I understand the review means nothing unless the reviewer has spent $50 on Amazon in last 12 months. Is this correct? Thanks
If you're offering your book during a free KDP book promotion, it's already available for free on kindle during those promo days -- so do you still have to upload your book to bookbite, or can you just list the link? I've seen folks on Reddit claim their books were stolen (and then offered as pirated copies elsewhere) after uploading the pdf or epub on book review sites. Also, do you need to have already earned "coins" by reviewing other people's books in order to take advantage of the KDP promo on bookbite? Or do the "coins" only get you unverified reviews?
Could you please review this question for Dane or anyone else watching the video? My book is a B2B (business-to-business) sales and marketing book. I'm curious about the types of reviewers available on BookBite. I've already posted my book on Goodreads and received a positive review with a must-read recommendation, but the same reviewer only gave it four stars. 😞 This makes me a bit nervous about posting a non-fiction B2B sales and marketing book on just any author site. Does BookBite have a good share of reviewers who read my type of book?
Hi Dane, great tutorial.. I'm a bit confused @8:15 where you mentioned you pick out 1 reviewer for the book. Does that mean only one reviewer can read one book at a time, or multiple people can be chosen for that one book? I'm just worried how many reviewers can I get to leave a review per book as quickly as possible. Thank you in advance! :)
Thank you for this helpful information. I have a question, Do I need an independent ISBN to be able to upload my book to Bookbite? Because, I have the free one from KDP.

I'm actually from Spain, and I've seen many of your videos, but I still don't know if this method really works for a Spanish book dedicated to a Spanish-speaking community. It would be great if you could help me. Thanks again.
Thank you for this Informative video it's really an eye opener..... but I tried visiting the bookbite site and it's says I've been blocked from visiting the site and I should mail the owner and I can't find any mail address so what should I do?
You earn the platform currency which is referred to as “coins” for every review you submit for another book in the library, and you use those coins you earn to get reviews for your book to make it a fair playing field and to ensure there are readers as well as reviewers. Reviewers are not compensated (in monetary value) to submit their honest reviews, nor are they obliged to leave a review if they would prefer not to. Therefore, I believe it does not go against Amazon TOS.
Amazon's TOS doesn't have to be in monetary value. Just 'imagined' value is enough. For example a chance to win something, (contest) or another book, or a signed book, or a paperback version of the ebook they just reviewed all violates TOS, and this looks a lot like 'another book'. @@DaneMcBeth Not trying to be argumentative. I'd LOVE to use this. But not if it puts my account even a tiny bit at risk. Hi, I got an email from bookbite: "To have your book submission approved by us, please send us a link to your amazon reviewer profile." So, where can I find this link?
I'm absolutely certain this doesn't work. Amazon doesn't even give the "verified purchase" sign to reviewers who actually bought the book, but did so with points or gift cards. The only way to get that marking is if actual money changed hands first.
One of my reviews wasn't stamped verified because I reviewed right after I made the purchase (and started reading the book). At least 6 hours must pass.

I don't understand. Does your book need to be enrolled in KDP select which means you cannot sell it anywhere else for 90 days. Why should I do that? Just for these verified reviews?
My guess is because it takes about 14 verified reviews before Amazon will “seriously” consider promoting your book to the point where you can sell a decent number of books. Is it worth the promo? Probably, but you’d have to make that determination on your own.
@@MrSlikvee Some authors swear they get good money from the page reads, others say it's crap. I guess it depends of the genre of the book that people may want to read (or not).
