I have the paperwhite signature and I got it last summer and I love it. I can't put it down. I had the other paperwhite in blue and the color on the back was fading so I ended up getting the basic kindle with the front light and used it for a year and I couldn't stand the screen, it was way to small. So basically I got 3 kindles in 3 years. I put stickers on mine also and I clear case so the stickers don't fade. I have 2 other cases I keep it in. Next time I'm getting the green or the denim blue. I hope you enjoy your new kindle. New mommy, new baby, new kindle, you deserve it.
This is exactly the review I was looking for! Thank you for going in depth on the brightness/darkness comparison. I read in total darkness at night and think the 11 will be better!

Thanks for the review, I ended up ordering the 11th one after watching your video and received it today. I think the best upgrade is that the 11th gen paperwhite is tad bit faster than the 10th in terms of turning pages, going through the library and the store, and the backlight of 11th is brighter at same level. The thinner bezel also makes me feel like it's bigger and it utilizes the screen better. All in all, I think it's a worthy upgrade!
Unfortunately, as they are imported products in my country, the cost of the new one is a bit high, and based on your review, maybe I'll wait a bit longer before making the switch. However, the issue of temperature has always been a missing feature for me. I really like warm lights, especially because I read in bed, sometimes with my wife or child sleeping. And warm light, as everyone knows, is better for the eyes and nighttime comfort. At home, we are so fond of warm lights that we have two electrical circuits, and we can turn on broad white lights (which we never turn on) or warm focal lights (above the sofa, sink, etc.) haha
I personally didn’t have one, but I don’t think it’s a bad idea if you’re accident prone! I unfortunately left my 11th gen in a rental car in Boston and had to go back to using my old one and 100% miss my 11th gen so I def think it’s worth the upgrade!!
