Exactly. But here, probably, with the human-like mind, it would be considered as an act of cannibalism, that can get you disgust to the point of vomiting.
This scene is the best in the show at showcasing just how strong Louis is. He's being forced to eat something his body naturally rejects and disgusts, but he's able to suck it down and put on a strong face.
Deer have been know to eat meat. They do it if the opportunity presents itself, not just out of desperation.

@@numinous123 Yes, but Louis ISN'T an actual deer, he's a fictional one with a different set of physical rules for the purposes of making for a compelling story, which was the entire point of my comment and had nothing to do with how accurate it is compared to real life deer.
@@kin4386 If you're sticking with the whole "fictional" aspect, then NOTHING about the character is worth talking about because everything about him is completely made up. I was just pointing out that ACTUAL deer can and WILL eat meat if the opportunity presents itself.

You know what's crazy, no animal on earth is strictly herbivore or carnivore
I had to research it all in a panic once. I had a steak and a rabbit loose. I thought "oh he probably won't bother even looking at it"
He got a taste, he went absolutely wild for it. I was confused because I thought they would get sick eating something like that. Turns out most herbivores need a bit of meat in their diet and will eat it if it's available. Just like how dogs, cats and carnivores can eat certain vegetables and aren't bothered in the slightest.

The truth is though that many herbivores do in fact consume some amount of meat purposefully. This isn't as much of a struggle as the show depicts it to be (but i get its heavy on the metaphors.)
