I give praise to Jonah Scott for bringing Legosi to life in the English Dub, he nails the lethargic and exasperated aspects of the character so well.
He's basically the reason why the Dub is on par with the Sub, not that the other VC's didn't do a great job mind you, but Scott's performance as Legosi is pretty much the most popular reason why so many watched the Dub, it was just that damn good

I'm frm Japan, I speak both English and Japanese, and I've heard the original dubbing as well, so that's why I can say;
This English Ver. Legoshi is just great. He didn't bring in any awkwardness to this character and he sounds alive just as well as the Japanese Ver.
He may sound a bit different frm Japanese Ver. in terms of voice however; he sounds like Legoshi despite my knowing the Japanese one. Magnificent.
Jonah Scott’s a damn BAMF at whatever role he does
the problem with EN dub is the good EN VAs are rare and most of the time you have to put up with other much much worse VAs at the same time. Most of the time it's just not worth listen to dub.
Legosi is the perfect embedment of a wolf.
Yes wolves are carnivorous, territorial, predators. But they can be loyal, protective of there own, and they only hunt to survive. Not to hurt for fun
There one of the only animals that will adopt the young of other packs , even wolves they faught and killed

@@DT-267K it’s common in dogs but mostly with wolves it happens when a mother wolf loses a cub and finds a human child, it doesn’t show fear so the wolves don’t see it as a threat or pray
@@DT-267K Yep, I can think of at least two cases that were proven to be true. Just goes to show how sometimes acting on instinct can achieve results that logic and reasoning can't.
Sure a predator on the hunt is scary, but a predator that feels the urge to save and protect another is even more terrifying and unpredictable.
It is if you're the one messing with the one that it's trying to protect.
Pretending something you're not actually scares people off, yourself included.

3:50 I absolutely love Jonah's work with this scene. I think in the sub Legoshi sounds a lot more angry and manic, as though he's in a fit of predatory rage and taking it all out on Bill. With Jonah on the other hand, Legoshi sounds a lot more emotional and in touch with his inner turmoil, with the voice cracks making him sound like he's on the verge of tears. While both takes on the scene work, something about Jonah's performance just cuts so much deeper for me.

This is the only anime I've ever had to watch in both sub and dub because both did such incredible jobs. Seriously, I watch both seasons twice just for the different experiences.
This is probably the best anime i ever watched. Never was a furry, never will be but i ended up loving this so much i read the manga which i never did before.

3:29 that punch is so vicious. It doesn’t knock Bill down, it sends him off his feet, flying in the air 20 feet easily.
The amount of force to send someone as heavy as Bill off his feet that distance is wild.
This scene always makes leads me to think Legisi is both holding back, but also can get consumed by emotions like anger in scenes like that (which is something he works in throughout the series)

Am I the only one that notices Legosi always getting his ass handed to him? Even if he has the upper hand sometimes, it's always either a loss or a stalemate that the opponent decided
Usually he's going up against people much stronger than him, like a bear, tiger, pack of tigers, a different bear, and so on

@@dudewswaggames Well think of it this way. The panda said to him, "why didn't you bite him?" That wasn't just a reference to instinc in the show because, wolves have a very strong bite strength. The advantages the lions have over him is there weight. That's why it was so hard for him to push them and why he did it at their core weight section (middle area). Male lions are scary because they are heavy, that's why hyenas don't mess with the cubs and he baby sits. So in this legoshi moving like he did and then biting him is finally acting like a wolf. That's legitimately how a wolf will hunt and attack. They circle the target together, heard it essentially while causing confusion and panic, wait for the opportunity, then jump at em just like that. So props to them for doing this section like this.
Legoshi is one helluva wolf! Practically punches in the face of a tiger, fights an entire gang of lions and took on a bear that stopped taking his muscle reduction medication.

Not a furry myself, but I can approve of Legoshi when he goes "beast mode" especially when Haru was kidnapped by the lions. If a moron tried something like that with people I care for.... Hell I've got no idea of what that side of me is capable of.
5:40 in the sub Legosi actually said in that scene Haru is my prey which is kinda wrong because he just admitted before saving Haru he saw her as food and nothing else
Those are his intrusive thoughts as a predator brought out by his anger. He wants to work on getting better than that because he knows they won't leave him.

原作のカットシーン多すぎてかなり残念だなーって思いながら見てたが映像は本当にきれいだし曲も素晴らしいんだよな。レゴシのビルをぶん殴るシーンの緊迫感、迫力がすざまじい....。このシーン、原作にはないアニメ独自の演出、（草食獣に思いをはせているレゴシの回想）が入っててすごいなーって思った。

@@i04yuun ive read the manga and regret it somehow. Its so good that i just miss the feeling i got when first time reading it. Now i feel like i shouldnt have read the manga before season 3 which is the final season sadly. Well sure the manga has alot flaws. But its still good nonetheless. Theres some moment that are really emotional and heartwarming. I just hope that studio orange can fix some of the problem the manga has. Pray for Juno.
