What a 'time-capsule'. I was living on Pendrell Street, not far from where you were on the beach. And strangely, I still have a 1990 calendar, that I saved because it was commemorating the centennial of trams and buses in the region.
@@robingourde3324 argghh... i have nothing against people moving into a city and living there but it's the way in which we are living which is creating so many issues: traffic, pollution, homelessness, lack of public input and democracy... etc, etc. We need to learn and change and do things better. Oh how I would love to go back in that time 1990 and be 18 years old again
Damn , you are old
The music can turn someone into a crack addict.
Vancouver, I miss the way you were back then. It's horrible now; far too many people and too unsafe nowadays. Thanks for the memories ♥
Me too. I moved years ago.
That music makes me want to commit harakiri.

Love Vancouver...watching in 2021. ❤️❤️❤️
Before The Invasion Vancouver used to be a GREAT place to live
Vancouver was so clean and orderly in 1990. It’s a disgusting hole now.
That summer they were filming "Short Time" in downtown Vancouver, great movie, best car chase EVER!!!
It was like a heaven on earth
When there were only junkies in the west end.
I was 3 years old, and mostly at home. Honestly, the times when I did go out are very memorable.
Great city if your making at least $100 k a year

Vancouver got meaner and uglier shortly after this video... I remember.
It got Campbellized
It happened after Expo 86. Vancouver became a "World Class City". The Olympics helped it further along.

The year I was born
Over 30 years ago now, wow
All these people are a forgotten minority now. Rip old Van

The city may have been a little sweeter then, sour grapes now, not gonna mention any names just point and whistle.

Still good year
Glass towers and fetty now.
