an 11 minute video could never scratch the surface of what BC has to offer. the province is so big that after 45 years of exploring i still have pages of things i would like to see and do. Vancouver, the Island, and the rest of the lower mainland only make up 1 % of the total area of BC that leaves a whole lot to explore.

Vancouver BC, was the only part of Canada I went to which I did in 2016. I loved the Capilano Suspension Bridge. I remember seeing some people who were terrified to go on that bridge, but I was not. :) I also liked Granville Island and the little tugboat I went on to sail to the island. I also saw two weddings taking place. Very nice vacation. I would love to visit other parts of Canada some day.
Vancouver is a beautiful city eh? I didn't find the suspension bridge scary at all. Van Island is an incredible place too. Where were you visiting from?
I was visiting from Sacramento, California. If you do a part 2, you should mention BC Place. I went to a soccer game during my stay (Vancouver Whitecaps vs Toronto FC).
The suspension bridge isn't in Vancouver.. it's in North Vancouver. An entirely different city and government not connected with the City of Vancouver. I think it's important to make that distinction.
In the Summer of 2019, I'll be visiting Winnipeg. I've done a lot of research on Winnipeg and what nice things to see for tourists. I visited their website. Have you been there?
im shocked that this is so well done and filmed and there's only 400.000 view. its deserves so much more!!!!!!! u guys are so charismatic, im loving every single episode!

That's usually how it works haha. For people who get limited time off, it's usually much more of a draw to go overseas, which I totally understand...but if you can't, there's a lot to do and see anywhere in Canada.
I have never had a passport and never will get one. I do all my travelling in Canada, there's always something new to see. my favourite trip is to the Yukon, I always go back there. which makes me realize that I may need to get a passport for the Alaska trips while I am up there. I haven't done the jaunt over to haines and skagway the last couple trips, the last time I did was before a passport was needed.
As I have said before I live in Victoria and I also wish it would get more snow but one thing about butchart gardens is the lights at Christmas, it is magical to see them they even have the 12 days of Christmas and it’s best to go at night but try to be there at 4:00 pm- 5:00 pm before it gets to busy and the line becomes a 60 minute wait
I was so fortunate to live as a temporary settler in BC for two and a half years. It will be forever in my heart, my special place was Spences Bridge - perfect for those who like to hike away from tourists and follow more rugged trails. During my time I saw black bears, Orca whales, various eagles, humming birds, sea otters, a variety of birds of prey...B.C🙏🏽💜💜💜
My home province and the most beautiful place on Earth ❤️ I miss it so much. From 2011-2015 and 2017-now, I’ve been living outside of BC. One day I will return home!
Must Do Canada I live in Israel but I’m moving to Budapest in August. I’m an EFL teacher :) I’ve also lived in Vietnam and China. I haven’t lived in Canada since 2015 and I miss it very much!!
I haven’t explored British Columbia like the full country but I do live in Vancouver island. But I have been too Duncan,Victoria, Langford, shawnigain Lake (where I live) Lake Cowichan and Nanaimo.and I have seen elk duck beaver salmon and deer seals killer whales. Eagles. I love Canada!🇨🇦❤️
That's awesome! It's important to explore your own backyard. We love world travel too but one certainly doesn't have to go far to experience something new
I grew up in the Similkameen Valley and spent many summers on Vancouver Island. Attended the University of Victoria. I guess you could say I'm "In the know" about BC. I live in Japan now. Can't wait to return once all the pandemic restrictions end.
I moved to Nanaimo Vancouver Island 4 years ago. Vancouver Island has lots to offer especially for those who enjoy nature!! Lots of campgrounds and hiking trails, and you can always go to a lake or beach whenever you want 😊
Must Do Canada For me, its the best place in Canada. 😊 Anywhere in BC can be expensive. Victoria area is really expensive for me but other area is ok. I live in Nanaimo and you can rent $750 for a bachelor suite.
I recommend not living in Vancouver, but if you were going there for child healthcare like my family, i recommend living in delta. Vancouver is insanely expensive. In delta the school district is very good, and if your child needs extra support it is very easy to get, you just need to help. The housing is also affordable, basements are very cheap, from what i know they scale from anywhere between $300-$400 a month plus groceries are affordable. You probably think its a bad idea because we are right beside Surrey and Surrey is "dangerous" it really isnt i lived in surrey for 2 years and nothing bad happened to me, also at night cops are everywhere, they just drive around so if you ever needed help it would be easy to get it. Also, in Delta we have a very good hughschool called North Delta Secondary School so if you need a high school it would be a very good choice!
I live British Columbia, Vancouver. I'm originally from Bangladesh. Here in Canada for 2years. But didn't explore other areas like vancouver island, kelowna and other places shown in this video. It's such a huge place to see everything at once and also very expensive live on here.
I just began to follow this channel, and I have to say that I love your videos about Canada. I landed here because I was looking for something to watch to improve my English listening. But now, I'm enjoying a lot seeing your videos.
Worst thing to do in B.C. : getting hurt. Because the B.C. is so Union-Protected, there is NO accountability or recourse for malpractice and the medical professionals there not only know it, they take full advantage of it. Trust me, I DO have paperwork.
Thank you for putting this series together. I have watched every episode and it was great to travel along with you. I just wish we could have spent more time. I had plans to tour Canada this summer with my family. During Covid at least I got to see your adventure.
Thank you so much. Glad you like it :) We're hoping to do many more across the country but right now, we have to be focused on Alberta due to all the restrictions...

I feel for you as you only touched the surface with this trip as well as spending so much money that probably wasn’t needed. Next time go a little more north hike in Squamish (Cheif, sea to sky, sky pilot are my faves) Whistler, lake garibaldi, Joffre lakes and many more hikes just north of Vancouver, there’s so much more to BC than Vancouver and Victoria! You don’t need to go so far from city life to enjoy it.
Oh yeah, tons of hikes everywhere. The ones on Van Island are amazing too. We had three weeks though and had to cover the highlights for the video. @HelloBC needs to bring us back :)
Guys that was the best recording that I ever watched I am so frustrating when I see videos about best things to do and people only show food nothing. You did a incredible job here that was awesome and i subscribed :-)
Showing Elk Falls as you say "starting in Victoria" may be ok for those who don't know, but for locals, it seems a little out of timeline/location ..........but non-the-less, a good way to attract attention to our island.....
I admire this couple 😍 as they take lot of effort to explore and share incredible experience and insights with lots of valuable information about Canadian provinces and their elegant and stunning views. I look forward to meet them soon. Best wishes and Good-luck all the way from India 🇮🇳 to Canada 🇨🇦
Lots of stuff to do in BC, as long as your budget can afford it. ridiculously overpriced alcohol, gas, ferry, food, hotel and make sure you have travel insurance. and don't expect to swim in the beaches, they may look nice but it is freezing cold and there's barely any sands just mostly rocks and gravels. But they do have the most beautiful nature scenes and the most friendly people around and one of the safest places i have ever been
An 11 minute video on BC, and you spend almost 8 minutes in and around Vancouver/Vancouver Island? Great footage, but misleading title. Do two videos, BC is too diverse for one.
There are TWO BC's. The left-wing liberal "lower mainland" (metro Vancouver) 5% of the land area, half the population, and most of the crime, and everywhere else, mostly right wing (except the Island), almost no crime, 95% of the land area and the other half of the population.
@@canadaauroraborealis3958 There's always more crime in cities. I don't know BC much but I do know Alberta. And the 3 highest crime cities in all of Canada, per capita, are in Alberta, and are all right-wingers... so...
Just watched this episode of here in BC and loved it. I am so happy that we chose to move to BC from our native UK. It truly is the Best Place On Earth eh.
Must Do Canada Hi Guys, thank you so much for asking. Actually it was 16 years ago in August that we moved to Canada. We are avid skiers and wanted to live in the mountains and be able to ski every weekend throughout the winter months. Also spending 20 grand a year on ski vacation got a little to much. So after extensive research I found a brand new ski resort in B.C. namely Kicking Horse Mountain Resort near the town of Golden which had reasonably cheap real estate and lots of businesses opportunities. Then we found out about a special business immigration program the government of B.C. had just stared and sold everything we had and move to Golden BC, the TOWN OF OPPORTUNITY. We lived in an industrial town the North of England and could see that things were not going to get better going forward. Please believe me when I say I am not a racist in anyway shape or form, but the Labour Government of that time was hell bent on bring in all kinds of folks from all over the world and it became, and still is a scary place. This was proved by the advent of the Rape gangs and race riots etc etc. Unfortunately the media don’t give these issues much coverage as they don’t want to look racist themselves. The quintessential image of England with its thatched cottages and Buckingham Place etc etc is far removed from the reality of the majority of towns and cities all over the country. Simple put, too many people in such a small space. A Japanese friend of mine who has lived here in town always points out that he still after all these years really appreciates the space and freedom we have here in Golden / Canada. As I said, BC is THE BEST PLACE ON EARTH. Oh I forgot to mention, we have just returned from a month long RV road trip to New Zealand, without doubt the Second Best Place On Earth.
@@andycommonsincanada Oh wow, what a story. Golden is pretty awesome. We actually wrote about it here: www.mustdocanada.com/things-to-do-in-golden-bc/ and we go quite often, especially for the skiing. What business did you end up starting therE?
@@andycommonsincanada Since you are not from my country, I will educate you. Canada was built by "bringing in all kinds of folks from all over the world" to use your words. It's called immigration, perhaps you know of the concept? We welcome all kinds of folks. That is why you were permitted to come here. Think about that.

Yayyy! I have so many more gorgeous places to explore in my beautiful b.c.
Thank You/Gracias!
Amazing. Is that on the island?
BC is beautiful! Thanks for the Video!👍❤️🇩🇪
My home province and the most beautiful place on Earth ❤️ I miss it so much. From 2011-2015 and 2017-now, I’ve been living outside of BC. One day I will return home!
It is pretty, that's forsure. If only it wasn't so dang expensive. Where ya living now?
Oh cool! We love Japan!
Canada is a really great great Country 🇨🇦!
I moved to Nanaimo Vancouver Island 4 years ago. Vancouver Island has lots to offer especially for those who enjoy nature!! Lots of campgrounds and hiking trails, and you can always go to a lake or beach whenever you want 😊
Yes, it looks amazing. Expensive?
Must Do Canada For me, its the best place in Canada. 😊 Anywhere in BC can be expensive. Victoria area is really expensive for me but other area is ok. I live in Nanaimo and you can rent $750 for a bachelor suite.
@@caliraz6633 Oh, that's pretty good. My nephew lives in Toronto and pays $2300 for a 1-bedroom with basically no kitchen
I went to British Columbia for vacation 5 weeks. Too short, so much it was exhilarating.
yeah, there's so much in BC. Probably the most tourism of anywhere in the country
Also, in Delta we have a very good hughschool called North Delta Secondary School so if you need a high school it would be a very good choice!
the most beautifull in the world ... almost all of us our says about our home isn't it, then we lived in the beautifull amazing WORLD ... thanks
So much many fun activities to do. So want to get to B.C. Stunning scenery.
I've been in Victoria for work and it's beautiful. Looks like I have way more to see. Awesome video.
Thanks! Yeah, there's so much on the island. Hope we get back there soon
You really packed in so many things in this video, what a trip you had in BC!
Im 20 and i was Born in British Columbia and still there's lots to go see, it doesn't stop. But oh Hey! You'll be broke in weeks. It's not cheap!!
I wish to visit British Columbia someday
The Capilano suspension bridge used to scare me but after going over a couple times it was a lot of fun
Lynn Canyon is cool too!
Splendid video. Canada is really beautiful
Thanks!!
Most beautiful country in the world 😍
:)
I live British Columbia, Vancouver. I'm originally from Bangladesh. Here in Canada for 2years. But didn't explore other areas like vancouver island, kelowna and other places shown in this video. It's such a huge place to see everything at once and also very expensive live on here.
yes, it's expensive but hopefully this video inspired you to explore a bit more without going too far.
So lucky to live here ! We have so many great natural places ❤️
I think British Columbia is most beautiful province in entire North America continent 👌👌
What a brilliant video... Can't wait to land in Vancouver next month!!
I just began to follow this channel, and I have to say that I love your videos about Canada. I landed here because I was looking for something to watch to improve my English listening. But now, I'm enjoying a lot seeing your videos.
wow.. thank you guys for helping me decide where to go on my upcoming trip to canada this summer ...
Glad we could help :) Can't go wrong with BC
so where did you go?
Come on over were real friendly here and what you saw on the video doesn't even scratch the surface of what's here.
Worst thing to do in B.C. : getting hurt. Because the B.C. is so Union-Protected, there is NO accountability or recourse for malpractice and the medical professionals there not only know it, they take full advantage of it. Trust me, I DO have paperwork.
@@ant-1382 no its bullshit only the summer is good the rest is cold wet bullshit
Watching this makes me aware how lucky I am. Born on Vancouver Island and everything I see on a daily is so pretty
Gorgeous place forsure
Thank you for putting this series together. I have watched every episode and it was great to travel along with you. I just wish we could have spent more time. I had plans to tour Canada this summer with my family. During Covid at least I got to see your adventure.
Thank you so much. Glad you like it :) We're hoping to do many more across the country but right now, we have to be focused on Alberta due to all the restrictions...
British Columbia is one of the must-visit places in the world!
I love living in B.C, isn't it just beautiful here!!
Follow me for BC videos
Awesome video guys!!!
I cant belive you guys went to Brithish Columbia and you didn't fish for giant white sturgeon in the Fraser river... great video though.
What a joy to watch! Excellent editing as well. Thank you!
My dream country canada 😍❤ love from 🇵🇭
Love you 💓
thankew guys for this lovely video!!! it not only helped me in making the project for college on British Columbia but also convinced me to make a visit in nature lap...
i like such project and going to watch other parts as well as soon as i complete my task...
keep it up ;)
Awesome! So glad you like it. What's the project about?
@@MustDoCanada exlpore one of the provinces or territories of canada ... where i found youtube to be a best platform for such project and this video lead my way to choose British Columbia 😀👍
Oh cool, is this a school project in Canada?
@@MustDoCanada yeah
We were restricted not to make on ontario so i choose British Columbia for that
Why not Ontario? That's where you are?
@HelloBC needs to bring us back :)
more to BC than hikes and lakes...most countries in the world have those. they went to the Okanagan and Kootenays too.
Guys that was the best recording that I ever watched I am so frustrating when I see videos about best things to do and people only show food nothing. You did a incredible job here that was awesome and i subscribed :-)
Thank you so much man! Means a lot :)
This is making me so EXCITED for my trip to the Canadian rockies in under 4 months! Eeeeep :D
Yeah! You'll love it!!! :)
What’s your plan? Where are you going to visit? I live close by, it’s beautiful!
Jumeaux Elaine it will not disappoint
So lucky to call this place home ❤️
Whistler & Harrison Hot Springs are also great place in BC near Vancouver.
Nice video i love it.. beautiful British Columbia proud from kelowna bc...
Thanks!!
BC looks amazing!!
I love Canada ♥️❤️♥️❤️♥️
Showing Elk Falls as you say "starting in Victoria" may be ok for those who don't know, but for locals, it seems a little out of timeline/location ..........but non-the-less, a good way to attract attention to our island.....
British Columbia such a beautiful province in Canada mind blowing 👍👌👌
BC is the worlds eden
Don't tell 'em it rains 8 months out of 12 in that "Eden" (west coast). Move to the Okanagan or Thompson Valleys and it hardly rains at all
I admire this couple 😍 as they take lot of effort to explore and share incredible experience and insights with lots of valuable information about Canadian provinces and their elegant and stunning views. I look forward to meet them soon. Best wishes and Good-luck all the way from India 🇮🇳 to Canada 🇨🇦
I recommend going to the Cariboo, as well. It's absolutely beautiful up there.
Where's that?
+Must Do Canada the Cariboo is in central British Columbia. It is definitely beautiful.
Oh cool! We'll check it out. Maybe we can go this year :)
I live here! You will like it, its a big change from the city
I'm for Quesnel, it's super nice here. They should have came up to this area
I lived in BC...Canadian Rockies, Kelowna...work and stayed in Haida Gwaii Island...been to Vancouver etc....now I am back here in Toronto...
mojarmawema1 damn that must be a big change lol
Shit Happens ! Toronto IS GREAT !
My home!!
Check out dunlevy and powell. Oppenheimer park or any alley behind hastings
But they do have the most beautiful nature scenes and the most friendly people around and one of the safest places i have ever been
this s the best episode ever, great work, very well done.
Thank you!
I could never move away from BC
Mind blowing stuff.
An 11 minute video on BC, and you spend almost 8 minutes in and around Vancouver/Vancouver Island? Great footage, but misleading title. Do two videos, BC is too diverse for one.
We'd definitely love to come back, although the tourism board is very hard to work with, unfortunately. Could easily make another 10 videos
And the 3 highest crime cities in all of Canada, per capita, are in Alberta, and are all right-wingers... so...
I agree
@@canadaauroraborealis3958 Actually, there are three types of people in B.C. You forgot to mention the group of people who generalize way too much.
Just watched this episode of here in BC and loved it. I am so happy that we chose to move to BC from our native UK. It truly is the Best Place On Earth eh.
Very cool! What inspired you to move to a different country?

What on this Gods Earth are you talking about?
Please give a clear and concise explanation as I and people I have shown this comment to have absolutely no idea as to where you are going with what you are saying.
