- In this video, we share some of the best things to do in British Columbia, including the best things to do in Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Kelowna, and more!
Welcome to British Columbia!
Canada's west coast province is packed with jaw-dropping scenery and incredible adventures. Home to some of Canada's most varied landscapes, ranging from desert and ocean to mountains and forest, there truly is something for everyone in British Columbia.
We explored BC from Sept 6 - Sept 28, 2017.
Canada's Road to 150 was a 150-day Canada-wide multi-media road trip celebrating Canada's 150th birthday by exploring the uniqueness of this country provincially and collectively while answering the question; What makes Canada special?
We drove to and through every driveable province and territory, showcasing Canada's natural beauty and regional attractions while interviewing Canadians of all cultures and backgrounds, including local celebrities, immigrants, refugees, and everyday rural and urban Canadians. Our aim is to dig deep into what makes Canada such an incredibly inspiring country while showing off the best of Canada's tourism to Canadians and to the world.

I could only imagine 6 feet.
Be careful.

Stay outdoors. Go camping. No open fires.
Hey fuckers, you assholes over there are allowed to remove your mask
Hey, hey! Fast forward a couple of years and...wowsers! 814k views!!! No wonder...spectacular video.
Thanks so much for this wonderful tribute to our beautiful BC.
You only missed one spot on your way to Yoho that's also kind of amazing...just a bit west of Revelstoke...3 Valley Gap.
Cheers!
@@corinnemurphy7278 haha thanks! We'l have to add that to our ever-growing Canadian bucket list :)
British Columbia is a paradise on earth, so proud to live here 😍
Nefertiti Montoya I live in Vancouver and it’s SO expensive
Nefertiti Montoya i live in victoria! and it’s gorgeous!
Nefertiti Montoya I live in Revelstoke!!! It’s so amazing!
Madeline Smith yup, highest car insurance, highest gas price, and crazy housing market that middle class can’t afford.
Nefertiti Montoya same girl
I’ve lived in BC most of my life and the mountains and ocean still can take my breath away
It's hard to understand people's amazement for things you accept as "normal". The experience of visiting other countries had made me realize where such amazement can be found from my "ordinary" life.
Yeah I’m used to orchards, a lake and wineries but others aren’t I guess. You can guess where I’m from. One of their destinations.
Kelowna or somewhere around Lake Okanagan is where I’m getting at. In my case, I’m used to being next to the ocean and mountains with more rain than anything.
ArcticoFolf you got it. You are from my childhood home Vancouver. Or around there.
100%! Now *I* want to go snorkelling with the salmon! I didn't even realise that's a thing!
an 11 minute video could never scratch the surface of what BC has to offer. the province is so big that after 45 years of exploring i still have pages of things i would like to see and do. Vancouver, the Island, and the rest of the lower mainland only make up 1 % of the total area of BC that leaves a whole lot to explore.
BC has everything! Giant forests, vast waters, cool wildlife, huge mountains, deserts and the great city of Vancouver !
Most beautiful province of Canada..
:)
it's a close one, but I still prefer the Yukon. and it's feel and atmosphere is like you have truly stepped back in time. it gets in your blood and never leaves.
breathe and squeeze that’s a territory
Ontario, Alberta, Quebec, PEI, Yukon, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, NFLD, and some parts of Manitoba (except the damned mosquitoes) are nice as well.
Yeah, it would be a tough call. All have something to offer
The top 2 things I am ever so grateful for ... #1 I am Canadian ... #2 I am a British Columbian.
Who lives in here
Mo Alalbani I do
Meeee
Mo Alalbani me
Victoria since january lll
I used to :( I miss it so much

You don't need that much if you're just going camping and fishing somewhere, gas and beer money, that's all you need..lol You don't need to see everything all at once as these two do. I'm 55 and I was born and raised here in Vancouver. I'm still finding places to go when I want to be in nature.
JustAThought camp fees are ridiculous due to channels like this.
BC is too crowded and tourism is ruining places like Lake Joffrey
Give some price examples guys. For me as a European Canada or US prices are mostly cheap, compared to tourist spots in the EU.
@@kjeezy2990 there are way more places than joffre, which isn't even worth going to. Also places like joffre are necessary as it keeps people away from other, better spots. Hiking in BC is world class, you just need to look
Its still awesome though.
I’m happy Kelowna was on here
The MOST beautiful place on Earth! Damned happy to live here and call this home
Very nice place. Hope you guys get those fires under control....
Must Do Canada me too or I might have to move back to Winnipeg or Flin Flon hahahahahahaha

Canada is a really great great Country 🇨🇦!
Yes Yoh Oh Canada !! 🇨🇦🇨🇦I love Canada ❤️The best place on Earth !! From the Beautiful Vancouver Island Resident here!!
We agree :)
I went to British Columbia for vacation 5 weeks. Too short, so much it was exhilarating.
yeah, there's so much in BC. Probably the most tourism of anywhere in the country
British Columbia is one of the must-visit places in the world!
OMG that place is awesome its paradise
I live in beautiful British Columbia Vancouver .. proud Canadian 😊🇨🇦
Do you feel comfortable being a 'Visible Minority' in Vancouver ?
@@splendorsineoccasu5437 LOL. I am from Toronto. Its not very different here.
I cant belive you guys went to Brithish Columbia and you didn't fish for giant white sturgeon in the Fraser river... great video though.
I have lived in many places in the world but BC was the best place I have lived in! It was the most beautiful 3 years in my life really. I’m from Kuwait and I miss this place. Vancouver, BC is the paradise! Thank you for Canadians being friendly and thank you for this video.
Thanks for highlighting the wonderful places British Columbia has to offer. It truly is a beautiful place to be in..
Born and raised in South Surrey/White Rock, currently living in Prince George, and seeing this video I miss being home. I want to go back to Vancouver soon
So much beauty in BC! If Van wasn;t so expensive, I'd like to try living there too
It's great to get back for a one-week visit, but to live there... 💲💲💲💲
U should take a look at Prince George, and outside PG too. Ancient Forest, Forest for the World. Great to look at if u like a small walk through the woods
Prince George is beautiful and HIGHLY underrated I find
I don’t find PG all that great... I just go for shopping since I don’t have a good mall in Terrace
Forgot to mention grouse mountain n whistler! So close to home!!!!! Love it here
So proud to live in such a gorgeous country. I've lived in three of the many places mentioned (Edmonton, Kelowna, and now Drumheller) in the BC and Alberta videos and have visited many of the other places multiple times. Every time I am amazed at how incredibly gorgeous it is. I love my country
Oh yeah, each province has their merits for sure. We love the East coast too but it's a totally different charm
I’ve been all over BC, lived on Gabriola, have worked on boats all up & down the Coast & I still say the Skeena Hwy between P.R. & Terrace is as pretty & dramatic as it gets. 👍
Moved to Vancouver island 6 months ago ......best decision I've made so far in my life
Cool! From where? We've actually considered it. We're in Calgary though and love the rockies. Even the East Coast is rad. Maybe Halifax!
Must Do Canada I moved from Ontario. I've been to the east coast as well very beautiful area . But by far the west coast is a magical place. I use to live in Edmonton. It's just too damn cold in the winter. Same as Calgary I'm sure you know very well how cold it gets. It's just a different vibe on the west coast. Most people I meet all have the same agenda here . Hike, fish, camp, kayak, and everything outdoors . People on the coast seem to know how to live life compared to the rest of Canada. Come on over you will not regret it at all .
Interesting. I think maybe the far East coast is similar in that way. Vancouver is the opposite though eh? So many people who move there say it's not friendly at all.... but that's just what I've heard. Van Island seems to be much more chill
@@MustDoCanada Ya I just came from a trip to whistler and stopped by vancouver just too see it ...and Ya it's a typical city, everyone is in their own world and doesn't care about anyone..but vancouver island is definitely a chill place ...very friendly people and very laid back kinda atmosphere ...just be prepared to drive 10km/hr under the speed limit haha no joke it's that chill here
Squatting Squirrel please help me. I’m trying to do the same from ON. Was it hard to find a job/place? Where are the best/safest cities?
Is transit good?
STEM jobs offered quite well?
Most beautiful country in the world 😍
:)
Awesome video 👌🏼 I love my British Columbia ❤️🇨🇦
Have to say that I certainly don't take it for granted that I live in this diverse and wonderful province. It's true what they said at the end. They barely scratched the surface...Great video...👍😉
So happy you went diving in Vancouver! As a dive master Vancouver local I feel like it’s one of the biggest missed opportunities when people visit British Columbia!
so proud to live and grow up in this beautiful province
Beautiful British Columbia
Tofino is such a magical place😍
I can't wait to start my move to BC in 3 years time from the UK, it's so beautiful
Big move. What sparked the decision?
One year to go 😂🤲🏾
Are you in BC now?
Good human beings make life happy. Hard-work, love, respect, kindness, e.t.c are what make our World go round. Thank you to whoever made this video. Good humans are not only inspired by those around them but by the higher power, which some of us can't comprehend. Keep up the great work.
Yayyy! I have so many more gorgeous places to explore in my beautiful b.c.
Thank You/Gracias!
I love my country in a heartbeat god bless Canada ..
:)
I like British Columbia and I love nature
So much many fun activities to do. So want to get to B.C. Stunning scenery.
You really packed in so many things in this video, what a trip you had in BC!
So lucky to live here ! We have so many great natural places ❤️
Simply the best place in the world...
I grew up in the Similkameen Valley and spent many summers on Vancouver Island. Attended the University of Victoria. I guess you could say I'm "In the know" about BC. I live in Japan now. Can't wait to return once all the pandemic restrictions end.
Oh cool! We love Japan!
im shocked that this is so well done and filmed and there's only 400.000 view. its deserves so much more!!!!!!! u guys are so charismatic, im loving every single episode!
Wow, thank you so much. That means a lot :)
I was born and raised in the Okanagan valley of BC. So much to see and do here, don't bother going on vacation to other countries anymore.
Ziplining in Peachland, hot springs in the west Kootenays, deep inside an old mine at Hedley, the incredibly clear water in the river south of Trout Lake, the list just goes on and on.
We have it all, from desert to rain forest. (not tropical)
Take a drive up to the top of Mt. Buchanan and see the entire world
Totally, lots of things to do everywhere. Though, we still love world travel because of the various cultures :)
my sister lives up in kaleden, still my favourite place to go on vacation!
Haven’t been there before. Hopefully one day :)
Random Guy tell me more I live in the Okanagan I want to do cool outdoor stuff. We do some but I want to do more and different things

Try Idaho peak near Sandon.
Logging museum and railway museum in Revelstoke.
The gardens at the Summerland research centre. Lots of people get married there.
Cycle the trestles on the KVR at Kelowna.
Hike to an old mine in Peachland.
Cycle rail trail from Vernon to Kelowna.
Revelstoke national park. Incredible view from the lookout at the top, and a magnificent wildflower display in early to mid August. (This year. It's a little late this year and varies)
Ride the train! There is an old steam train in Summerland that goes over a really high trestle above Trout Creek. Very popular. You might want to get reservations.
I've been in Victoria for work and it's beautiful. Looks like I have way more to see. Awesome video.
Thanks! Yeah, there's so much on the island. Hope we get back there soon
B.C. is beautiful!!! So thrilled to live here. The Kootenays are nirvana. Beautiful natural scenery, fascinating history, incredible wildlife & awesome people. Come visit us🤩
The Capilano suspension bridge used to scare me but after going over a couple times it was a lot of fun
Lynn Canyon is cool too!
What a brilliant video... Can't wait to land in Vancouver next month!!
I love living in B.C, isn't it just beautiful here!!
Follow me for BC videos
What a joy to watch! Excellent editing as well. Thank you!
British Columbia, one of the greatest cities that makes Canada go round! Keep up the good work.
Actually, British Columbia is a province not a city.
Thank you for putting this series together. I have watched every episode and it was great to travel along with you. I just wish we could have spent more time. I had plans to tour Canada this summer with my family. During Covid at least I got to see your adventure.
Thank you so much. Glad you like it :) We're hoping to do many more across the country but right now, we have to be focused on Alberta due to all the restrictions...
BC looks amazing!!
I’m so happy to live here!❤️It’s like PERFET!!
So lucky to call this place home ❤️
My dream country canada 😍❤ love from 🇵🇭
Love you 💓
I live in British Columbia. Thank you for show casing our beautiful province. However, for us locals who are living a reasonable life style it is not possible to visit all these places due to the cost. Hence, it was really nice to see your video and get a sense of the natural beauty of this land. Hopefully in time we will be able to visit some of these places. Excellent video.
i want to immigrate
They did not even visit Whistler Ski & Summer Resort, the most expensive place in BC, 100 km / 60 miles north of Metro Vancouver.
I am from Bangladesh. can I friendship with u?
R S
It’s not that expensive, get another job
I love Canada very much
Such a beautiful view.
This is making me so EXCITED for my trip to the Canadian rockies in under 4 months! Eeeeep :D
Yeah! You'll love it!!! :)
What’s your plan? Where are you going to visit? I live close by, it’s beautiful!
Jumeaux Elaine it will not disappoint
Im 20 and i was Born in British Columbia and still there's lots to go see, it doesn't stop. But oh Hey! You'll be broke in weeks. It's not cheap!!
Your video got me emotional!! Amazing schedule you´ve made and spetacular images, congrats!!!
Thank you so much! :) Glad you enjoyed it!
BC is beautiful! Thanks for the Video!👍❤️🇩🇪
Vancouver BC, was the only part of Canada I went to which I did in 2016. I loved the Capilano Suspension Bridge. I remember seeing some people who were terrified to go on that bridge, but I was not. :) I also liked Granville Island and the little tugboat I went on to sail to the island. I also saw two weddings taking place. Very nice vacation. I would love to visit other parts of Canada some day.
Vancouver is a beautiful city eh? I didn't find the suspension bridge scary at all. Van Island is an incredible place too. Where were you visiting from?
I was visiting from Sacramento, California.
If you do a part 2, you should mention BC Place. I went to a soccer game during my stay (Vancouver Whitecaps vs Toronto FC).
Wow, yeah for sure! There are tons of places all around the province we had to miss. So much to do and see in BC
The suspension bridge isn't in Vancouver.. it's in North Vancouver. An entirely different city and government not connected with the City of Vancouver. I think it's important to make that distinction.
In the Summer of 2019, I'll be visiting Winnipeg. I've done a lot of research on Winnipeg and what nice things to see for tourists. I visited their website. Have you been there?
Happy To live here!!
I just began to follow this channel, and I have to say that I love your videos about Canada. I landed here because I was looking for something to watch to improve my English listening. But now, I'm enjoying a lot seeing your videos.
Splendid video. Canada is really beautiful
Thanks!!
the most beautifull in the world ... almost all of us our says about our home isn't it, then we lived in the beautifull amazing WORLD ... thanks
I haven’t explored British Columbia like the full country but I do live in Vancouver island. But I have been too Duncan,Victoria, Langford, shawnigain Lake (where I live) Lake Cowichan and Nanaimo.and I have seen elk duck beaver salmon and deer seals killer whales. Eagles. I love Canada!🇨🇦❤️
That's awesome! It's important to explore your own backyard. We love world travel too but one certainly doesn't have to go far to experience something new
I admire this couple 😍 as they take lot of effort to explore and share incredible experience and insights with lots of valuable information about Canadian provinces and their elegant and stunning views. I look forward to meet them soon. Best wishes and Good-luck all the way from India 🇮🇳 to Canada 🇨🇦
Nice video i love it.. beautiful British Columbia proud from kelowna bc...
Thanks!!
BC is the worlds eden
Don't tell 'em it rains 8 months out of 12 in that "Eden" (west coast). Move to the Okanagan or Thompson Valleys and it hardly rains at all
AMAZING
It's really a very nice place to stay
some great highlights for your itinerary!
I am pretty sure that they had spent at least $10,000 just for the activities and their few days stay in BC. Lol
Probably! Not sure the exact cost but yeah, doing as many things as we did would be expensive. But some things are cheap!
Agreed! It's not cheap! By yourself sure! But with 10 people or more. 🤣🤣 that's funny. Definitely not for families unless your rich.
Vancouver Yaletown this city is so damn ridiculous you can't afford, housing, food, transportation or anything else that could give you a decent quality of life... Time to move! It's very pretty but not worth it unless you're rich.
Yes, that's one of the unfortunate things about VAN. I'd like to try living there for a bit but way too expensive for us
It was 22 day stay it says in description
Whistler & Harrison Hot Springs are also great place in BC near Vancouver.
I love canada
British Columbia is My dream place to live....
Wow I never realized the place I live was so beautiful and breathtaking 😍
much more breathtaking in person
My home!!
Wow! Watching the video was amazing. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
As I have said before I live in Victoria and I also wish it would get more snow but one thing about butchart gardens is the lights at Christmas, it is magical to see them they even have the 12 days of Christmas and it’s best to go at night but try to be there at 4:00 pm- 5:00 pm before it gets to busy and the line becomes a 60 minute wait
I live in British Columbia I've lived here my whole life I've never gone on a vacation anywhere else except Vancouver island
That's usually how it works haha. For people who get limited time off, it's usually much more of a draw to go overseas, which I totally understand...but if you can't, there's a lot to do and see anywhere in Canada.
Yeah thanks
I have never had a passport and never will get one. I do all my travelling in Canada, there's always something new to see. my favourite trip is to the Yukon, I always go back there. which makes me realize that I may need to get a passport for the Alaska trips while I am up there. I haven't done the jaunt over to haines and skagway the last couple trips, the last time I did was before a passport was needed.
Heyyyy from Vancouver island
Wait....Except Vancouver Island? Dude, you are still in B.C.
I’m happy to live in Invermere bc!!!!
Yeah, we love Panorama!
Love love love...thank you
this s the best episode ever, great work, very well done.
Thank you!
Lots of stuff to do in BC, as long as your budget can afford it. ridiculously overpriced alcohol, gas, ferry, food, hotel and make sure you have travel insurance. and don't expect to swim in the beaches, they may look nice but it is freezing cold and there's barely any sands just mostly rocks and gravels. But they do have the most beautiful nature scenes and the most friendly people around and one of the safest places i have ever been
Great video! I'm born and raised in BC, and you guys covered so many great things 👏🏻
Hey i want to contact with you
BC, I JUST LOVE YOU!
wow.. thank you guys for helping me decide where to go on my upcoming trip to canada this summer ...
Glad we could help :) Can't go wrong with BC
so where did you go?
Come on over were real friendly here and what you saw on the video doesn't even scratch the surface of what's here.
Worst thing to do in B.C. : getting hurt. Because the B.C. is so Union-Protected, there is NO accountability or recourse for malpractice and the medical professionals there not only know it, they take full advantage of it. Trust me, I DO have paperwork.
@@ant-1382 no its bullshit only the summer is good the rest is cold wet bullshit
Well done video, but you really should have included a section in the West Kootenays: around Nelson and a Rossland. It's a hidden gem of the province!
We're hoping to get there this year if possible
Awesome showcasing of BC's great regions and attractions to explore. Awesome footage and video. FV & Subbed.
Proud to call it home!!
The best province in the country! Can't wait to move back, there's no place like home!
I live in BC it’s prtty good
My home province and the most beautiful place on Earth ❤️ I miss it so much. From 2011-2015 and 2017-now, I’ve been living outside of BC. One day I will return home!
It is pretty, that's forsure. If only it wasn't so dang expensive. Where ya living now?
Must Do Canada I live in Israel but I’m moving to Budapest in August. I’m an EFL teacher :) I’ve also lived in Vietnam and China. I haven’t lived in Canada since 2015 and I miss it very much!!
Wow! I stumbled on to this video and loved it! Amazing place and thinking it is the next trip for the hubby and I to do! Thank you!
Awesome! Glad you liked it. Next video coming out Saturday :)
Showing Elk Falls as you say "starting in Victoria" may be ok for those who don't know, but for locals, it seems a little out of timeline/location ..........but non-the-less, a good way to attract attention to our island.....
