I Llived in a small village Duval, also Strasbourg and I must say I loved every minute of the job and the people I met there, Long Lake is lovely as is the rest of Saskatchewan. I loved the solitude and silence of the prairies. How I would love to return for a visit or to stay. You are blessed to live there,
it surprises me how little people from Saskatchewan know about the wonders that exist in our province! Prince Albert National Park is my favourite place in the entire world! I've been to 14 countries and all over Canada, so i have lots to compare too. This last summer i went to grasslands for the first time and was absolutely blown away by its beauty! Our province is truly spectacular!
I love living in a small, prairie town in SK! All the shots of endless fields and flat landscapes make me so happy, I never want to move away. I just feel too claustrophobic everywhere else. My family drove to PEI and Nova Scotia last summer and the whole trip I felt as if I couldnt breathe, until we got to Manitoba and the trees backed off and the land opened up. 😊
We live in Saskatoon and go to Ontario every summer. We feel exactly the same way when we leave the trees behind and move into the vastness of the prairies in Manitoba.

Grasslands are a treasure, for sure. To be fair, Saskatchewan is fairly flat--where the main East/West road goes through. Get 10-20km off that road North or South and it all changes. Some of the best hunting and fishing in North America, too. Love this place and glad to live here.
Totally! Too many people skip it. We just released a video on Regina if you go to our main page, and in two weeks, there will be a new one about Grasslands NP itself!
great video. I was born in Saskatchewan and have lived in several towns in the province. I went back a few years ago for a year to work, and I quickly realized why I had never been back there since I left. I moved from Saskatchewan to the Yukon, then down to northern BC then down to southern BC. i'm a mountain man now. I could only go a month at a time out there working then I had to get back to BC for a long weekend to see the mountains again. and i'm in no hurry to go back again either. but if someone has never experienced it, it should definitely be seen, it's unique. other places that could have been included are Lake Diefenbaker, all the awesome grid roads, and Moose Jaw, where there are still tunnels under the city from Al Capone. actually, you could simply visit all the weird-named towns, like climax, elbow, eyebrow, cut knife, love and urin, just to name a few.
Yeah, I know what you mean. We love the mountains as well, and the ocean, but Sask has some cool things and isn't just "flat" like some people write it off as. We really liked Grasslands NP but we'd also love to go to the sand dunes in the north
It's funny, everywhere people mention I've been on field trips with school, because I live right in the middle of South West SK, right on the #1 and #4 , so we can go for trips anywhere and its not too long of a drive!😆
