Andy Murray imo is the most underrated tennis player in History because of the big 3 impact. He made it to a grand slam semi final 21 times. He won only 11/21 semis, 8/10 of his semi final losses were to the big 3. So he still made it to the grand slam final 11 times. He won only 3/11 slam finals, all 8 losses were to the big 3. So out of 21 semis, he went on to get 3 grand slams and lost 16 to the big 3.
Pete Sampras who won 14 Grand Slams had a career win percentage of 77.4%.
Andy Murray who only won 3 grand slams has a career win percentage of 75.4% while competing with the big 3.
He was world number 1 for 41 weeks.
He was at the time the first British man to win a grand slam in 75years.
In a 4 year stretch he made it to 18grand slam quater finals in a row.
He finished the calendar year as the 4th best player in the world behind the big three for 4 years in a row.
Would had been interesting to see Andy Murrays career without the big 3.

He did well against them! but he only reached #1 by overplaying during that 2016-17 period when all the Big 3 had injury problems. It wasn't worth it for someone who loves tennis more than history books. He was like a "lame duck #1" while Roger and Rafa dominated 2017. Still, he did make it a true Big 4 derby during 2012-13: not even the great Stan the Man could hang with the Big 3 as equally as Andy did when he replaced his mind with Lendl's :)

I watched this match from start to finish. My conclusion: Murray is the only one with the experience and scrappiness to make it to the final and defeat Djokovick. I don't think any of the new players - Ruud, Auger-Allisime (sp), Fritz, Tiafoe - can beat him. Korda scored a set from Novak in Adeliade and Novak went nuts on court lol. However, I don't think he can do it either. Murray is the dude for the job, if he can make it to the final. Also, Nadal in his current form definitely can't do it. He got lucky with Draper b/c Draper experienced cramping.
