Man what does Berrettini work on in practice. If I was his coach we're literally only hitting backhands. Backhands on the run, slices, etc. Its just ridiculous how many errors he was making off that wing in the first two sets. With the roof closed the ball moves slower and nadal took advantage of that just by hitting it to berrettini's backhand. Now with the slower conditions, what is berrettini supposed to do when he has to hit backhands? It's not like hes going to make 5 backhands in a row like medvedev or rip backhands up the line consistently. This is a horrible matchup for berrettini. He has to figure out how to beat these top guys now. He can't even beat zverev or tsitsipas let alone the big 3 and Medvedev.
Here’s an old tennis adage, after the serve it comes down to skill. Nadal has better tennis skills than Berrentini and at the age of 34 in better overall physical condition. Don’t count Nadal out of this final!! He wants to win that 21st slam really bad.

Rafa looks great the whole tournament, hopefully it’ll be enough to take out Medvedev. 21 slams would put him at the front of the goat debate between him and Novak.
I don't care about the GOAT debate! I just Rafa to win another AO as I feel this GS has eluded him enough! I don't think even he thought he would make it this far so the most he can do is give it his best shot and win given that he is not even 100% and not the favorite!
I don’t think he can beat medevdev right now, I don’t think anyone can probably Federer can because of the different style of play, short slice bring him forward and then hit the winner, I just think med, nadal and djoker has very similar play style and Rafa is 35 and is not gonna chase ballad like he used to so I am predicting straight sets victory, I am a Rafa fan but I am being realistic.
It will be hard.. but Nadal should be very motivated. There is no guarantuee that he will also win the next RG (cuz as you said.. he is getting older). But now he is in a final for another title.. and he should give his all.
Hardly unstoppable. He actually is playing pretty mediocre ball. Shapo left early and Berrettini forgot he had a match that night. Nadal looks very beatable. Alex De Minaur would have beaten Nadal in the quarters and anyone w half a heart wouldve went 5 w Nadal in the semis. He looks light years from imperious. Meddy is going to show him another level. Med in 4.
What were they supposed to say to him? "Get better at hitting consistent, shoulder-high topspin backhands? Oh, you have 2 days to improve a shot that is not your strength?" Nadal's lefty forehand is OP against Berritini's weaker backhand. It was clear that the plan was to hit fewer slice BHs than normal (Berritiini's usual game plan). Nadal is relentlessly consistent against the slice and will keep pummeling the corner until he gets a short ball and then hits a winner in either direction (as Federer and everyone on tour has well learned for last 15 years). Nadal is just a terrible matchup against Berritini. Novak, Andy, Medvedev and Thiem are a few of only righties with sufficiently good backhands to even the odds against Nadal's forehand.
It just goes to show just how good the B3 are when they're not injured. Berrettini is a beast who would give anyone else in the top 10 huge problems - Medv, FAA, Tstisi, anyone. But against Nadal, he really had nothing.

Dont be surprised if rafa wins, im a real rafa fan for the past 12 years, and im telling you he will shock you and all the 'realistic' haters.
It will be hard.. but Nadal should be very motivated. There is no guarantuee that he will also win the next RG (cuz as you said.. he is getting older). But now he is in a final for another title.. and he should give his all.
He can only win if he plays this shots with a decent length. It will be tough, Medvedev is playing very well.
congrats Rafa..always enjoy Nadal plays
Look at my Spanish Matador??? Rafa 21🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆!!!!!! Let’s go Rafa ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Il faut lui remettre le trophée 🏆 du GOAT
Bravo!!!! Rafael Nadal !!! You are the Best !!!!👏👏👏👏👏💞💞💞💞💞🔥🔥🔥Happiness, Good luck!!!!!💞💞💞💞💞💞
Nadal is unstoppable !
Awesome 👏
Haha wait to sunday
@@josb2574 Yeah exactly, because the new master of the game is a different caliber and is far younger.
Med in 4.
@@johnsuttoniiijs bro u high? Med in 4? U mean Med in three. Med wins 6-0 6-2 6-2
Such a match 👌👌👌💯✔️
NOVAK DJOKOVIC G.O.A.T.
I hate Italia more now ! I have been to Spain and no joke Manacor through la Palma airport ! Amazing win !!! Wow 🤩
Berttinii coaching staff let him down. His game plan was off from the get go. More research was needed
I think he just had an off day. He has what it takes to beat an old Rafa.
Dude had nothing left in his legs. Didn’t finish off enough matches in straight sets. With the draw he had I never expected him to make the finals.
@@StunnaDroppedYou what rafa lacks in his former power he gains in physical fitness
@@mikerzisu9508 but he didn't 😂
can anyone tell me the comentator's name
was that a let sound at 5:53 ?
Le mec ne savait même pas si il allait faire l'Open d'Australie 3 jours avant alors qu'il joue comme un dieu 😂
It just goes to show just how good the B3 are when they're not injured. Berrettini is a beast who would give anyone else in the top 10 huge problems - Medv, FAA, Tstisi, anyone. But against Nadal, he really had nothing.
Berrettini needs to improve his overall game. Add a bit more variety. He's a predictable player. With no surprise to his game.
He’s done well for himself
How about first thing he fixes is showing up. He looked like he forgot he had a grand slam semi going on that night. Embarrasing
@Eletro Arena no.7 in the world no talent? 🤣
