This is so good. Austin tells the story that this got posted "by accident". They recorded it, but he wasn't sure about posting. He thought his fans might not like it because it was so different from what he'd posted before. His girlfriend said he needed more content on his channel. He was tired and it was late and he kind of brushed her off with a "maybe". The next morning he decided he wasn't ready. She'd already posted it. Thank heaven. I don't know how many times I've seen this, and I never noticed that the guitar was shifted to the left. Duh.
Austin has an amazing voice, great vocal agility and control and an ability to belt second to none. All of his solo work is with accompaniment. There's not a bad song on his channel, but I would highly recommend his covers of Bring Him Home, Tears in Heaven and Danny Boy.
I think it’s a raw vocal. He has some amazing music on his own, including originals written and sung by him. Thanks, Cole! Generally, Austin talks immediately after the music portion which is part of what makes me think there was no production.
This was released to the public in Jan 2021, the HF one was Feb 2022. Steven is a very talented music producer and one of Austin's best friends. He did a lot of the production of Austin's solo efforts, and sang with him on 10,000 Years. You will also see Sebastian Douyon accompanying Austin on keys in some videos. There should never be an issue of a copyright block for any of Austin's videos. Like HF he encourages reactors - they are his best advertisers. Whether this was a live take or not, there are live recordings of him in various 'bashes'. HF videos should not be getting blocked - especially the newer ones after they left Sony. HF WANTS reactors to do their videos. Has anyone reached out directly to HF?
Thanks for this info, Nancy! As far as the copyright issue, folks in the comments have suggested we contact HF directly about the issue with The Orchard, and, while we've considered it, I'm just hesitant to bug the artist about it. That being said, we haven't ruled it out completely. - Cole
@@randominerecords HF owes big parts their fandom to RUclips and a whole lot to reactors and they are very aware of this and very grateful for it. It seems very unlikely they want strikes on reactors where SME isn't involved, unless they've made a U-turn for a reason we don't know about. I definitely recommend you reach out to their management team, you should be able to find the email for contact on their website, and check with them. In case they this is not what they want and they are unaware of it they might be grateful to know, and if it's correct, well then you, and we, know. Their team is amazing and friendly and always helpful where they can. ❤️
@@randominerecords Carina is correct the guys dont block reactors , they know that reaction videos helps spreading their music . They all watch different reaction videos and sometimes they comment on the reactions
@@mettesrensen6116 Hey, Mette! I've gone over the details of this in the comments on other Home Free videos (most, if not all, of which we've since taken down), but, in short(ish), I am sure Home Free has nothing to do with it. However, their current, third-party content manager, The Orchard, has rejected every fair use claim on every video they manage that we've reacted to. This now includes other artists, not just Home Free. This week, we finally "bit the bullet" and appealed The Orchard's rejection for 3 songs on our Top 10 Spotify Reaction. If they reject any of the 3 appeals, we get a copyright strike, which is the reason we haven't fought this any harder before. We'll see what happens, but right now, we're starting to post our old Home Free reactions on the Patreon we launched this week for anybody that wants to see them. - Cole
This is the song that brought me to Home Free! It came across my Facebook feed and I listened to it and fell in love with that voice and that face after just one listen!🔥🔥 I had to find more. The funny thing is that he wasn’t sure about posting it, but his lady, Amberly went ahead and did it, and now it has so many views!! I found that he is a member of Home Free and the rest is a history! I am still falling down that rabbit hole!😂😂❤❤🔥🔥. Glad you are taking this trip with us!👏👏❤
Your experience is my exact same story as to how I discovered Austin and led to HomeFree. He's been my favorite singer since. Oh don't get me wrong I love the other guys as well and each are talented in their own way, but Austin's high tenor is pure heaven for this ole gal.🎶🥰
This was done about a year before the Home Free version. Steven Martinez is a friend and business partner of Austin and plays a nice guitar. A couple of other songs I highly recommend on Austin’s channel are BRING HIM HOME from Les Miserables and MY MARIA with Tim Foust. Both songs are very very good. The success of the MY MARIA song helped to persuade Tim and Austin to recently start a second group for when they are not singing with Home Free. The new group name is Sweet and Low Music Co. I definitely do not understand all this copy write issues you are having. I have only heard of SME and Garth Brooks giving reactors a hard time over Home Free Songs, you are the only one I have heard having problems with Orchard Park. Thanks for a great reaction and you have blessed day.
Austin started doing these during quarantine developing Patreon support and when his guitarist and pianist Steve Martinez was his housemate. Austin has college training specializing in musical theater as Rob Lundquist and Avi Kaplan both had college concentrations in opera. You must hear Austin and Rob performing Nessun Dorma. Aka "2 Country Singers try singing opera". It's on Austin's channel as well. Rob reviewed television with a friend of his on his channel during quarantine and Tim had been professionally writing music before he joined Homefree. Tim's channel focuses on his favorite genre - doo wop. Adam Chance has several cover songs with The Hound + The Fox. The side hustles became very important during quarantine. Geoff Castellucci of Voiceplay was the other big Acapella singer to branch out during quarantine.
I really like this song alot, this was a great version, very soulful. As always thank you for the video and commentary, please keep up the good work sir!
I've commented on another comment about the strikes, so please check that out. As for what other Austin songs to check out there are many. For covers maybe You've Got a Friend, Tears in Heaven, At Last, and Neon Moon. For originals If I Met You Now and Earn It. But as with Home Free you can really pick any of them, covers and originals, and you won't be disappointed.
If you are going to be doing Austin, he has a few originals that deserve notice. If I Met You Now, Take the Night Off, The Rest of my Life for starters.
Home Free Road Sweet Road, So Long Dixie, Listen to the Music, Blue Ain't Your Color. Check out Austin's RUclips channel for Nessum Dorma (Rob & Austin).
If you're going to focus a bit on the guys away from HF I have to first recommend my Austin Brown faves. Take the Night Off is #1 for me because it features Austin with his lovely lady Amberly Hall. "Ain't No Sunshine" on the pond at dusk is totally beautiful, and please keep listening after the song is over for a really important message (which can also be said for several Home Free and VoicePlay videos, even if it's just a bit of BTS). Earn It and Off the Grid are two faves. The 'sit & sing' version of Off the Grid is nice but I much prefer the one where he is out and off the grid. The video for Real Talk is a hoot. He gets a text from Dawg. Chance has a lot of solo videos but also there's Adam Chance feat. the Hound + the Fox, and the Hound + the Fox feat. Adam Chance. I love their videos for Wayfaring Strangers and the Sound of Silence, filmed back to back.
How bizarre that you are having problems with Orchard and not with SME. Every other reaction channel seems to have the reverse problem. Maybe reach out to one of them for some assistance. The Charismatic Voice did a video on her process of getting a dispute cleared.
Yes, done in his living room, with Amberly, his girlfriend doing the filming….&, there’s a funny story of how he actually got going with his solo channel….due to her 👍🙃‼️ if you noticed, there’s over 12Million views of this 🔥‼️🔥 What about their Original songs they’ve done ???
Definitely recommend Bring Him Home sung by Austin -- it's definitely one of his best solo work. I also prefer Austin singing the entire song -- his voice was made for Unchained Melody. Yes, like everyone else, I'm puzzled why Orchard is giving you fits, and not SME. I've watched a lot of reactors react to HF, and it's SME, not Orchard, who gives them fits. HF, post-SME, is independent of a label. Weird...
There's a live (audience taken) video of Austin singing this at "Tim's 6th Birthday Bash" (ruclips.net/video/l8E-G_UAj3s/видео.html) - Sebastien Douyon is playing the keyboard (which, during transport, had wound up a key higher!). It's simply astonishing!
Yes, Bobby Hatfield has the most acclaim and popular version. But he's not the original singer check out the origin and history of this classic song to hear some of the 1,500 version.
Hey, Victor! Yes, I actually briefly talked about the history of the song on my reaction to Home Free's version last year; unfortunately, that video had to be unpublished due to copyright issues. - Cole
I would love to see you react to Austin's Bring Him Home and Tears in Heaven they both are incredible there is a more resent song he did with Makena Hartlin called Never had a Dream Come True that is mind blowing. I really enjoy you reactions
His cover of Bring Him Home from Les Miserables is out of this world. It's so incredible!
Austin has just as beautiful a personality as a voice.
Always enjoy your comments and reactions!!
Duet with Tim and Austin doing My Maria is very good!
Thanks, Cole! Love Austin's solo work. Happy to see you react to him.
Austin is amazing.
