I love that with two fantastic high tenors (Austin and Chris Chatham) they had the bass do the highest part 🤣. Hey, why not?

I actually remember the original of "My Maria" by B. W. Stevenson in 1973. Always loved this song. I was not familiar with the Brooks & Dunn version. I really loved this performance by Tim & Austin & the other guys. Liked Austin singing in his lower register. I don't think I have ever heard Tim sound so clear & crisp in his upper falsetto range. Who would ever believe that he is a natural bass who can drop down into the basement depths. Wouldn't it be cool to have these guys perform for you at home?

I am so glad that we have been hearing more of Austin's lower range - it is so lovely.

first - the volume...I have to turn on the closed captions to 'hear' you or i get blown out by the music.
This song was actually the push that caused Tim and Austin to form their "side" group Sweet & Low. The reception by the fans was so good that they decided to do a bit more. Chris Chatham and Tim have sung and worked together for over 20 years. To see the next stop on the S&L train, I suggest you watch (on Austin's channel again) their cover of Clay Walker's "What's it to you". Jeffrey East joins them for that one. Jeffrey is another fantastic singer/songwriter with a wonderful tenor voice. Once they had Tim, Austin, Chris, and Jeffrey they went for a baritone jazz/blues singer/piano player - Ernie Halter, and a wonderful fiddler with a beautiful voice (and Tim's sister-in-law) Luisa Marion. Sweet & Low did a show for Tim's birthday this year - search for Birthday Brunch - lots of original songs.

For more of Tim’s higher register listen to home Fries original “snow globe!” Also listen to Tim’s collaboration with Peter Holland singing “Greensleeves! “You’ll be shocked to hear Tim from bass to high tenor!! Home free band mates can all sing in different registers them they are normally thought too!! Nice reaction

This was done on the back deck of Austin's house. They have another duet on Austin's channel of "What's It To You". Tim also sings back-up bass on Austin's original "Hers Ain't Mine". Tim, Austin & a consortium of other singer/song writer/musicians have a side project "Sweet & Low Music Co." which also does fund raising for at-risk veterans. Tim's other side project is "Alley Cats". These are busy guys!

The original was by Brooks & Dunn. The bass guitar played (baseball cap), Chris Marion is the brother of Tim's wife Jenika Marion (she sings with Austin on "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" on Austin's channel).

Great reaction. Love the "small" things you pointed out, like the MOVE. And noticing that they're normal people, not just aliens! For Tim's range all in one song, you should hear his exquisite solo version of I Can't Help Falling in Love. You won't be the same afterward. (It's audio only.)

Sebastian is a friend of Austin's and often accompanies him on the keyboard in Austin's solo projects, Chris Chatham the third solo vocalist is a long time friend of Tim and collaborates on songwriting with him quite often. Chris co-wrote Home Free's song, So Long Dixie and he had played the tune on the guitar as they were rehearsing and they said, you know what, we can do whatever we want, and Chris played guitar on their final recording of it (he didn't sing on that one). Chris Marion is Tim's brother in law, and the Marion family is also very musical, Tim's wife Jenika Marion also sings. Chris Chatham, Austin and Tim are in another group together they call Sweet and Low with instruments.

Sebastien is a producer and records most of Austin's stuff. They're also working on some very different stuff together. The day this was recorded, Austin recorded Signed Sealed Delivered with Chris, Sebi and Jenika Foust, and a stunning version of Neon Moon.

When the low bass takes the high part even though he's singing with two high tenors. *shrug*
