Just watched a stack of your videos after watching a lot of how to film travel videos. No crazy transitions, no extreme editing, just beautiful simplicity that makes it simply beautiful.
Hey Trevor thank you for the positive vibes! I am trying not to exaggerate what we are experiencing. It is much more fun and less stressful making videos this way.
Absolutely killer. Always inspiring me to go out and just shoot more and stop caring so much about the gear. It's just a tool and nothing more! Thanks!
This is insanely calming and beautiful. Thanks for the share! Quick questions. 1. Can you share the names of the trails you hiked through? 2. How do you protect your gear from rain? thanks!
Thanks a lot for watching! 1. Longest hike I did was the Fern Canyon Trail. The rest of the trails were super random stops in various spots in the area. 2. I used a plastic bag i got from the grocery shop :) Cheap way to waterproof any camera :)
Oh my god. These videos are pure magic ✨ did you find it hard to carry this camera, lens and tripod while hiking? Or are you used to it and don't feel tired?
Hey Thank you! So, one of the hikes was super long and I wasn't prepared for it. I ended up hiking 13 miles and 1800 feet elevation gain. Didn't have enough water and food with me. I was miserable at the end :) On that hike I had a very small lightweight tripod. So the challenging piece was the 15-35mm. It felt really heavy especially at last 2 hours. I have been using the 16mm now for difficult hikes. Rest of the hikes were shorter so I was ok to carry a heavy duty tripod.
@@barparildar thanks for your honesty. The end result looks like you had it easy! On a recent hike, I brought a 3 lb tripod, Canon R6, and 16mm + 50mm lenses, and felt that was pretty tiring for me just after 30 minutes. I might leave behind the tripod and use a mini tripod and see if that's more bearable. Making and watching these videos feels worth it, though. I care deeply about documenting this beauty and memories just the way I want. I try to tell myself that sore shoulders are temporary, and the footage you make is forever ✌️
@@BadSloucher I actually hike a lot only with my iPhone. I really need to be in the mood of shooting a video to carry a camera, lens, tripod. Being as light as possible makes everything more enjoyable for me. When I go on a hike with other photographers they get surprised about the minimal amount of gear I carry and how much time I spend taking videos. If I hike for 5 hours I usually use my camera only for 10-15 mins :)
Hi.. I live in Korea and I am your RUclips subscriber.I want to know what concentration of black mist filter you used in this video. I might not be able to deliver it well using Google Translator.
Thank you! I did my best to protect both. I used a nylon bag and a hand towel. At some point both camera and lens got soaked but thankfully they survived.
Step 1: Randomly pause the video at any moment. Step 2: Hit the printscreen key. Step 3: Take a life sized printout. Here is your million dollar piece of art that goes on the wall.
Thanks a lot for watching! I never had any issues even when shooting in midday sun at the beach. To be clear I don’t shoot long clips. It might be an issue for someone with a different filming style.
@@barparildar Thanks for your reply. I'm mainly photographer and I shoot video in short clips as well, similar style as yours. That's why your feedback is a good starting point for me :). As you done some fuji xt-4 video in the past, if you have any words about comparing those 2 I'd be happy to hear them. Used to be a canon shooter for 15 years, having a xt4 now, but I kind of miss the full frame sometines, thinking about going back with the r6. Best.
@@marting974 I am glad it helped! I don't think it would be fair to compare those cameras. They are both great. Both have strong and weak points. I am used to shooting with Full Frame and that's the only reason I prefer Full Frame sensor for my professional work. It's easier for me to compose, plan, etc.
Tomb Raider exploring style! 💯
Another stunning video! Love it!
Fantastic video!! The trees in the forest look absolutely stunning!!👍👍

Thanks a lot for watching! It is a very old lowepro

Hi! It will be very difficult to remember but I used a Freewell mist filter in this video. I think it was the VNDXMIST2-5. Not completely sure though
Great video! Did you protect your Canon R6 and lens, or was the weather-sealing of the camera enough to protect it?
Thank you! I did my best to protect both. I used a nylon bag and a hand towel. At some point both camera and lens got soaked but thankfully they survived.

I wish I could find a place this quiet and peaceful. awesome video. also, did you use the normal Clog on the R6 or the new Clog3?
Thank you! I used Clog. Clog3 wasn't available at the time of filming
Plz friend, let me know the rode microphone reference you used in the video…. If you can bz we have lots of

Thanks! Link to the mic is in description. It is a very average mic. I really do not recommend it if you are serious about audio recording

what season/month of the year was this filmed?
Any trouble editing h.265? Proxy or convert to ProRes h.264?
I am editing on M1 Macbook Pro. No issues
