He probably misses the cheap prices too. He was in Seattle and Los Angles, got to a Panda Express there and the costs are similar to a luxury restaurant. The inflation that is going on in the US is insane, it's $5.81 for a whopper in San Diego.

I remember in 2007 a plate from Panda Express would cost you $4.50 (two entree's and a side order), now a plate cost you $7.20. And of course prices are rising given that the US debt has increased to 21 trillion dollars, it cost 4 trillion dollars a year to fund the federal government, and we now have a 1 trillion dollar budget deficit thanks to Trump. In other words the government is creating lots of inflation and it is resulting in higher food/gas/housing costs. Back in the 90s they had Big-Macs for sale for 89 cents, yes a Big-Mac for 89 cents. But you don't know that because you are a good damn tool. Every-time the government spends 20 billion dollars on a health care program, or 10 billion dollars to bomb some country, that comes at a cost. Either we pay it directly through taxes or indirectly through inflation, because realistically US citizens cannot afford to pay 4 trillion dollars to the US government directly, so we pay the other half through inflation which results in higher prices. I hope I educated you.
Well said. Its unfair how Westerners can enjoy all amazing food and culture in Asia thanks to cheap price. But the opposite is not true. Its time that western currency dipped a little in value. We need a global currency someway.

I had to agree with Drew that, at 15:25, when you heaped on the heat, that it was overkill. I lived in downtown Toronto for quite a few years and there was a Thai restaurant that had "fast food" during midday. I love the heat and discovered the chili vinegar with fish sauce (or fish sauce with chili vinegar) and the ground chili flakes. My dish wasn't complete without my hot condiments. But, and it pains me to say it, Mark can take more heat than I can! Great video!
I had been to ร้านบะหมี่ at Silom for 8 years since my previous office was close by. I miss the noodle, the flavor, and the atmosphere around. Also, I miss the sister running the line to be seated. (Never waited less than 10 mins. lol). This video stirs my memories of office life at Silom area.

I went here and it's SO GOOD. I was looking for street food in this area and what I found in Si Lom was a let down. This meal though, and the surrounding vendors... Absolutely delicious and cheap and memorable meals! THANK YOU I could not find the dish you ordered and it didn't seem to be busy... Might have changed from the fame

I had to agree with Drew that, at 15:25, when you heaped on the heat, that it was overkill. I lived in downtown Toronto for quite a few years and there was a Thai restaurant that had "fast food" during midday. I love the heat and discovered the chili vinegar with fish sauce (or fish sauce with chili vinegar) and the ground chili flakes. My dish wasn't complete without my hot condiments. But, and it pains me to say it, Mark can take more heat than I can! Great video!
I had been to ร้านบะหมี่ at Silom for 8 years since my previous office was close by. I miss the noodle, the flavor, and the atmosphere around. Also, I miss the sister running the line to be seated. (Never waited less than 10 mins. lol). This video stirs my memories of office life at Silom area.

I went here and it's SO GOOD. I was looking for street food in this area and what I found in Si Lom was a let down. This meal though, and the surrounding vendors... Absolutely delicious and cheap and memorable meals! THANK YOU
