    Three reasons why people purchase the current Chargers
    1) Fleet sales base models
    2) Big car and affordability
    3) For the optional Hemi’s
    No one buys the car because of Stellantis Tech or it being a luxurious car. The new EV will not sell well at a high price point. A tech nerd will always opted for a Tesla.

    Just want to give a big warning to my brotherhood about Arrigo sawgrass dealership. They are advertising challenger scat packs for 34k and claims up to 30k off of a challenger. Went and tried to get one and after pulling some classic stall tactics finally came back 2 hours into being at the dealership with an offer in the low 50’s. Basically about 7k below sticker 2 of which is the manufacturer rebate. Certainly not what they advertised. And btw most of their cars had noticeable scratches and gouges, not sure how that’s even possible? After they realized I wouldn’t take their deal the manger insulted me. Beware of them not good people.

    • @Benzley722
      @Benzley722 Месяц назад

      Lithium is actually the third lightest element in the universe, with an atomic weight of around 6.9 on the periodic table. Only Helium and Hydrogen are lighter. That said, it's very rare, finite in supply, without a replenishing source like petrochemicals, and cannot be recycled, unlike petrochemicals.

    I have a few points after watching your video. First off, the battery is 100kw. I believe I can speak on the topic as I have a 2021 Mustang GT and a 2020 Chevy Bolt. One of the key points to ask is what is the kwh rate on the battery. Understandably, the car is supposed to be a "sports car", but I suspect the kwh will be around 3-3.2kwh. That equates to 320 miles on a charge. Another point that needs to be made is the need to have a charger at home. If one plans on using Electrify America, based on where one lives, it could be in excess of $.36 per kwh to charge the car. If one does it at home, you are looking around $.12 off-peak. As far as the slowing off the car, I can speak to the bolt. It has a regenerative function that helps slow the car. Maybe this car has that.

    Imagine this in a perfect world... Dodge keeping their V8s with these improvements on their vehicles. THAT! will explain $70K or even $80K purchase, now come back to reality and let's sit down and enjoy their downfall.👌

    I had to see your take on this information, having already seen Butter's video.
    My first suspicion about this car is that it will be an outright disaster. News of this car is easier to find on traditional media about cars than on media about EVs. In fact, my go to source on electric car news barely mentioned it. So a lot of the people who might have bought this if only they'd known about it, might not know about it. Most of the reaction to this car that I've seen on RUclips has been sharply negative. Someone will buy these cars, but I'm really not sure who.
    I'd be game, but those launch editions will not be for me. That dark blue that I'd seen in a couple of videos would be my choice (do they spell it Bludicrous or Bluedicrous?) but it will not be part of the launch editions, apparently. Besides, I have no interest in paying markups.
    The existence of Fratzonic doesn't surprise me. It sits at the intersection of a couple of different things. One was the growing tendency to pipe in or synthesize engine sounds into modern cars, including, IIRC, some Mustangs. The other, a need for EVs to emit some sort of sound for pedestrian safety. But having it emit gas engine sounds is like finding that your dog meows. There should be new sounds for a new paradigm. If you're tapping the go pedal at the light, a loud crackle is in order. it should be followed by a loud clap of thunder on your departure from a light. Another idea would turn into a funeral dirge pipe organ wail as you leave the stoplight. Seriously, whoever came up with the sound choices for Fratzonic had no imagination whatsoever.
    While it's a good thing the Charger has these huge ass brakes, if you know what you're doing, you'll be using them a bit less than you think. The first time I drove a Tesla, I nearly got rear ended in D.C. traffic by someone's Grand Marquis. I lifted off the go pedal, and the car was set for maximum regeneration, meaning the car came to a stop relatively abruptly. One pedal driving, as I learned then, is a driving discipline unto itself, perhaps most similar to being able to execute a perfect heel and toe downshift, and hitting the revs exactly right without the aid of electronics. I'm more concerned about the amount of cornering grip those tires will be able to handle. As part of my driving style, I'm more likely to carve corners than blast away from the stoplight.
    One criticism I have is that paywalls on horsepower is just inviting people to hack these cars. Even with the number of sales we can expect from what I've seen, you can bet that someone will have the brains of this car to look at and figure out long before January 1, 2025. It won't take that long for someone to spin one of these into something, be it a concrete pole or a crowd of people. By then, you can expect to find, somewhere, the ability to dance merrily around that speed limiter. I have more faith in human ingenuity than to believe these things to be insurmountable. Besides, didn't they bother to ask BMW how those rented heated seats worked out?
    I look at this, in a way, like I did the Rolls-Royce Spectre that I took out for a brief drive last Sunday. I'm glad that they chose to start their electric lineup with a beautiful two door coupe. I'm so tired of SUVs, crossovers, and even pickup trucks that it isn't funny. Owning any of those these days is so conformist that it almost defies description. However, the electric drivetrain works better for a company seeking the ultimate refined, isolating experience than it does for a brand known for loud excitement. Believe me when I say that it works perfectly for Rolls-Royce, but from what I've seen, it won't work for Dodge all that well. It could be that what was needed was a Chrysler New Yorker, not a 300, but a New Yorker. Build it as a two door or 4 door, with designer's eyes focused on a '70 Imperial 2 door with the optional bucket seats for inspiration. Make it longer than the Charger, which is already as wide as cars used to routinely be in this country. An electric powertrain would be more in character there than in a Charger. Since none of Chrysler's foreign owners have any respect for what a Chrysler was, and less idea what it should be, this idea will never occur to them. Carlos Tavares may not get it, but it's time for Imperial...

      I mean out of all the naming schemes it’s the most clever at least. Dodge slapped on a lot of random names or turned valuable ones into appearance packages

    I think that some naysayers might be convinced/converted IF these vehicles start showing up on RUclips beating ICE Hellcats at the track. That said, from the pictures I have seen, this thing is not well styled. I’m pretty sure that no one is going think it looks as good or better than the current models.
