  • This is another #backingup-your-data rant, but even though I'm posting this second it technically comes first in the order of shooting. And I think it's a bit more informative and organized. So if you only watch one rant about #backups this year, make it this one.

Good video, but I have to say I disagree about one thing. The fappening wasn't bad news. It was probably the best news of the year.
Oh man, you are the best.
    Love your humor.

Agree with using inexpensive disks. It is after all RAID not RAED.

I seem to have no data to backup. Do you have any suggestions

Depends on you and what you feel is necessary/can afford, a simple external drive and a cloud backup is perfectly fine, but if you want something nicer, 24/7 access and don't mind spending more or doing it yourself, a NAS is great too, best of all if you want to avoid the cloud for whatever reason, you can create your own remote backup locations, like having a friend/family member agree to hiding something in a corner or set something up wirelessly out in your shed, just make sure to have something where on the odd chance your house is robbed or happens to burn down you'll at least still have a copy of anything important, especially if you live somewhere that is prone to natural disasters, then you want anything located out of town.
