As a complete novice, I made perfect flares from the very first to the very last with this exact tool.

Brilliant tool , i got mine for £30 on ebay
Best that you keep all of the threads clean and lubed to prevent wear

Brilliant tool. Watched your tuition video on flaring with it as a refresher then tried it on a steel pipe to flare. Job done. As a precaution I removed the protective coating the pipe had because I didn't want the die to push it. Good work mate.

Just bought the tool today on your recommendation. Good video on doing brake pipes. All the others make it look like rocket science plus they are working with tools that are fiddly to use. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work. My tool will be making pipes for my cinquecento 1997.

I agree...good value. though I have now done 20 flares with mine and the internal thread has stripped...shame.

Some manufacturers use SAE (USA)and some use DIN flares, Can a din Flare be done with the SAE flare tool ? or do you need the DIN type flare tool ? It would help knowing what type of car brake lines you are replacing.

I had this exact flare tool but was under another name. Worked great for 4 flares then the brake line kept slipping out backwards. Didnt work after that.

ok..ish!...you have to tighten the clamp bolts so tight that it strips the thread...need stronger threads..end of the day cant beat a proper bench tool...this can just get you by without taking the pipe off the car...but ONLY just.

you didn't show it doing steel pipe? so not sure how you know its good for that purpose other than a scrap of paper saying so,and also look at how the dies don't line up, they are sightly off, badly machined= poor tread life, looks like very cheap Chinese rubbish,so i say save your €50 and buy a proper flair-er

I got one of these the other day and used it on car on steel pipes as the made in china kit i had just didnt cut the job. This is a brilliant bit of kit, i done half a dozen flares on the car i was working on and they were all perfect. Ive also had use of an expensive bench hydraulic kit which produces the same quality of flares, but takes longer to set up a and is a bastard if you want to try flaring some lines on car with it. Ive got no grumbles with this, well worth the £30 i spent on it.
