Entry fragger is the most feared role in Counter-Strike, not because it generates the most value or the most skilled players are in this role, but because nobody wants to be the first one in. But if you want to bring a level of consistency and substantially raise the floor of all of your team’s strats, being a good and versatile entry fragger is arguably the best skillset that you can bring to a team. So today, we’ll be diving into the simple, yet infinitely deep world of entry fragging in CS2.

Why are kills referred to as frags

It’s a term used interchangeably for kills. Was much more common back in the early days of shooters. As far as I know it comes from real combat terms.

@@ARexplor hmmm now entry drag sounds silly. There’s no pre-confirming you’re gonna kill the guy you encounter. I always thought “entry frag” was kinda referring to being the aggressive pusher who fragment’s the teams lines and pushes them back. And that the entry frag could totally die and it’s fine as long as they advanced their team
