One of the key skills of Mecha is adaptability. You always have a plan, or a standard response to an opponents move. However, plans don’t always work, your usual response to a move may not be the right thing in a particular game. Good players know how to adapt to take advantage of opponent mistakes or defend when on the back foot. You are improving in this skill.
My next general advice: You are not trying to win the first round, you are trying to win the last round. Don’t be afraid to sometimes lose a round to set up for future rounds. HP is a resource and as long as you don’t run out it’s fine to lose a round as long as the game is moving in your direction. That how you sometimes see those really nice comebacks. On this same note, don’t spend money just because you have it, sometimes it’s better to save that 50 or 100 for a Giant or a Tech next round, things that have lasting impact. A missile or shield that kills 1 unit or last1 turn is only a temporary help. They are useful when use in precise moments, not random or all the time.

    Step 1: Deploy Module.
    Step 2: Strike Specialist.
Step 3: Opponent formation has exposed back with single target high damage backline dps.
Step 4: Throw down a flanking crawler unit.
    Step 5: Force backline response.
Step 6: Now module the chaff and redeploy to other flank/main battle.
It's funny, better than losing 50 + 50 early wave resources to do nothing, and snowballs into a free win if opponent overreacts and diverts too many resources away from the primary battle lines to deal with phantom flankers. Definitely practice some flank timing/positioning against AI if you're not confident in estimating unit performance from the side flanks.

Missed opportunity on the deployment module and strike specialist not being used. They are both very synergistic, but both could be skipped and you would be up 150 minerals early on. Or both could be used on an elite unit that would just keep jumping flanks with the deployment module for no cost, and with fast teleport.
Going mass crawlers was a great move against the opponent going mass marksmen. Only thing that might have been even better is if you've gotten a tech to make the crawlers more sturdy like underground. With that many crawlers, that tech would pay off in spades. Generally speaking if you have 5+ something, get a tech for it. Not sure if techs feed the same as levels, but my feeling is no.
