Or, if you just want to hang out, the property is great for relaxing and taking in the scenery. The nearby city of Erwin provides small-town charm, and not far away are Johnson City and Asheville, North Carolina.

May have to check it out! Looks so cool for a get away! I checked my Journal and between the cold weather and slips and falls, my attention was on neroing in Erwin. I do remember Big Bald but not sure of High Rocks, although it may have been were I failed to realize my trail brother fell and I hiked on by without realizing it until later when he told another Tramily member! Thanks for showing your hike on the AT! I think one day you may just end up doing the whole thing! PS. Great Shirt!
I think High Rocks is skipped a lot since it’s so close to town. The view is better when the leaves are down I bet.
