Saved my money by not buying a Click Stand, (plus shipping) and bought a camera tripod at Value Village. For 4 dollars, I now have a cheap but strong telescoping stand. And gave other 2 legs to friends.

Great hacks, glad to see I'm not the only one who takes a real camera with me on bike trips.

Thanks for the tips! I love my Hiplock - I use it to secure my seat bag while riding to eliminate any “tail wag.” I use Sea to Summit’s long-handle spork to get every last morsel from dehydrated meal bags. I have an Esbit emergency stove with fuel cubes, which is ultralight.

That 1st tip for the stove is genius.
I always take a cable lock.
Its far too cold for me in the winter to ride. Cant wait for spring to arrive

Good tips-my favorite, the cotton ball fire starters-they’re awesome.

The hiplock can be cut or forced open quite easily. Also that click stand is cool but useless imo. regular leg stands do the same but better since you dont have to dig in a bag for it everytime you stop.

The hiplock could just go around the rear tire and then a pole or tree and no one could take your bike.

Most of those things are not “hacks.”
