Hey Seth! First of all, as long-time viewers of your channel(s) it was really amazing to see you reviewing our product, so thank you. We pronounce Scuvvers like lovers, but we're Australian so the English language is more a guideline for how we speak. Scuvvers will retail for USD $66 but our online store opens tomorrow for pre-orders and we have discounts of up to 30% for bundles. We're really glad that you noticed the quality because that was a high priority for us, as was sustainability - Scuvvers are made from 100% post-consumer recycled textile. They might look a little over-designed but we built in a lot of adjustment for headrests and seats of different sizes and shapes (except for cars that have one-piece seats like the Jeep you started with...). Although we designed them to stow on the back of your headrest so they're always there when you need them, the little slide connector lets you detach the pouch and stow it in your door pocket, glove compartment or under the seat. And when you get them filthy you can throw them in the washing machine if you like, but we usually just detach the covers and hose them down with our bikes. We noticed your wife's car has a cream interior, so we'll send over a cream one!
I'm looking at the first aid kit, and then looking at the fork cork + tubeless plugs, and saying to myself "I know what would be way more useful to have with me at all times than a tubeless repair kit". "I know something that could benefit from being kept somewhere clean at all times"
@@thedamntrain5481 it's a bit steep, but having owned the previous F15 version for several years I attest to the quality of their products. Sure you can get the same tools separately for cheaper, but it's unlikely you'll find similar quality ones for much less price as a set. The added premium comes from the form factor-- you simply can't find those specialized tools (bike specific allen and torx bits, chain tool, spoke wrenches, etc.) in a tool that size, with that level of build quality. A Leatherman might get you most of the way there, but it will weigh more, take up more space, lack some features, and still cost roughly the same. It's not meant for everyone, but it solves enough problems for the people it is meant for, that they don't mind paying a little extra.
It's because production costs are quite high since the products are sold to a fairly niche industry. When products are sold to larger industries than the prices would be much less because high volume production brings manufacturing costs down.
I purchased the Scuvvers on the back of this review. As both a mountain biker and a sailor, they are the solution to a problem that I have had for a while as I was having to wash my light grey coloured fabric car seats once a year as they got grimy or wet. I am pleased to report that the Scuvvers work very well and are not as tricky to fold back into their pouch as I thought they would be. Not the cheapest, but they are well made and were money well spent. As a safety professional, another thing I like about them is that in the event of a vehicle accident, their design looks like it would not prevent the deployment of a vehicles seat bolster mounted airbags, which some other designs of seat cover would compromise.
Thank you so much for featuring our latest first aid kit, Seth! We can't wait to continue creating innovative kits for the mountain bike community. We greatly appreciate all the new orders and kind words we've been receiving from all the viewers. Thank you for your support!
This isn't advertised as a feature, but the open end of the chain tool on the Crank Brothers F15/F16 is also the right size to remove a presta valve core!

We really enjoy your videos because you explain why something is better or not. We just like stuff that works with no drama or fiddling & it seems you do too. Keep up the awesome videos !
My favorite add-on is the tool kit that goes in the headset. The best part is that it snugs down the bar assembly (through bolt assembly) so you don't have to mess with it so much to get it tight. Cool little extra.
4:18 When designing a thing for 3d printing, you should take the fact that the part is weaker along the layers into consideration. While designing this driver, you made a small mistake, leaving the hex thing in the middle not connected to the outside. What you want is the most surface area between the hex driver mount and the layer which it sits on, so you should ideally add some "spokes" (4 would be enough) , or you could leave the whole thing filled in (which is propably not optimal since with smaller infill percentages it will still have a small surface area). This makes it so that you can't overtorque your driver as easily since you can't twist off the part holding the bit in.
For seat covers I use the ones that they use at your car dealer when they check a/your car in, you can ask if they have some spares that they're gonna throw away. GL
The Nubhex I could see in my automotive toolbox! As a tech, you do encounter vehicles (I’m looking at you Germans) where getting a hex-socket or hex-key is impossible to use on a hex bolt without some insane procedure! For example, the passenger side Value Cover on an Audi S4 with the V8 engine, the left bottom hex bolt, has about 4-5mm of room to remove it!
Seth is the reason I love mountain biking so much. Whether it’s building a van to building a bike he always finds a way to make it interesting for everyone. Love your vidoes Seth! 🤟 he makes every video fun and entertaining, keep up the great vidoes seth!
The fork cork guys and Mend it guys need to colab on a first aid kit that will fit in the steer tube. Than it might be small enough for Seth to use it.
Here is my MTB first aide kit: ACE bandage!!! You take a spill and take a good hit with your leg or arm, it's going to swell up. Broken bone, you can use sticks and fasten them up with the bandage. 2 non-stick gauze pads (can be held in place with ace bandage). A few regular band-aids. Ketchup packet type ointment. Two pack of Advil too control swelling from a big hit (they can be found at just about every gas station). If you where to pick only one item to take, it would totally be the ace bandage and you can roll it around an ointment packet so, it you get a bad cut, you can smother it in ointment and just wrap it with the ace bandage to hold you over.
That mini floor pump is intriguing. I have that same inexpensive pro bike tools one, but it has failed me before - or I've messed up using it. If you're not careful, it can unscrew your Presta valve core when you try to take it off. I've had it with me - along with a tube, and still had to hike out with a flat tire because I couldn't keep the damn valve core in.
The same has happened to me not once but on several occasions!! Luckily for me I could ask for another pump from one of my mates to inflate the tyre and finish the ride. Mine is made by lezyne, was quite spendy and already thinking of replacing it since next time I won’t be so lucky…
Still using my Topeak Turbo Morph.... have owned it for at least 7 years.... the hose stays attached, unlike the one it Seth's video which stashes in the end.
Hey man, I went to berm park a few days ago, and it was amazing! I am down in the Charlotte area so I don’t get to ride in the mountains too often. I plan on coming back up. Love your videos man.
i reckon the first id kit would be good to store above the fork cork as it is lightweight and bulky, this would also keep it nice and clean. while the plug thing is better off integrating into the multitool body for a handle.
MTB first -aid kits should have a snake bite bandage. Dunno about the USA, but snakes on the trail are commonplace here in Oz....they love the sunny breaks that paths make in the forest. Snake bite bandages make awesome general bandages too. I also carry an Israeli vacuum sealed dressing/bandage for staking injuries.
there’s a valve core wrench on the F15/F16 that literally nobody ever talks about crank brothers doesn’t even advertise it. take the chain tool and loosen the screw, the slot that would catch the chain pin fits every valve core i’ve ever tried it on
Also, I recommend the Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit for compact medical. I carry one with me literally everywhere and it just feels like a larger wallet.
I have a little pump inside my frame along with a spare tube, multitool, some tire levers, a snack, some money and who knows what else. Who knew I would be able to lug around all my crap without having to carry a backpack!
That first one, the seat protector, it might be a good idea to fit it before getting muddy, otherwise your just going to get the seat muddy while fitting it when you come back!! 😅
I love the multi-tool, the little finger splint part of the med kit is cool, and I really like the fork plug kit. The seat cover seems overly complicated and an answer to a question nobody asked. I have a pair of sturdy seat covers that slip on the fronts very easily, I got them on Amazon for my 4Runner 3 years ago for 20 bucks each and they're holding up great. They should market those seat covers to overlanders as well, they love buying expensive gear.
