my lenovo legion y740 is asking me for system password when i enter bios settings, not sure which password it is
held pwr button for 15 seconds then paperclip novo button to start recovery but all that happens is flicking cursor then blank screen- does this means recovery drive and ssd are both dead?

1. Resetting or formatting will most likely not affect your overheating problem. Cleaning the fan will help.
2. If it takes 24 hrs to reset then something is wrong on your pc.
take the bottom cover off, and use a compressed air sprayer to blow out all the dust
hey you might wanna tweek your capture settings to a definition a tad bit better than 240p trust me it will get you way more veiws i have the lenovo legion gaming desktop but im trying to factory reset it
Thanks for the feedback, yeah it is my first time using all the sw and apps when i created this. As you can see the incoming videos, there is a little improvement as i go along. In time, i will get use to these programs. I appreciate your time dropping by =)
@@askjaylee np do you by chance know why a legion desktop would be missing files from the program files like taskmaneger is missing and wont factory reset all it does is freeze the settings and closes them im thinking of running a virus scan just in case but i realy dont know what im going to do if that doesnt work mabey just reinstall windows 10 through a bootable usb
Its a possible corrupted os, try running 'sfc /scannow' from the command prompt. If the issue is the same, try a clean install since windows 10 reset did not work for you.
@@askjaylee ive tried that and its gotten so bad to the point where i cant even accsess admin privoliges and i cant even install things so i think im just going to reinstall it lolz

Hello I have a Y720 and after factory reset games run much slower than they sre supposed to. I installed the gpu drivers and the lenovo scan says everything is up to date. What could be wrong?
Run all updates from Lenovo side and MS as well. Check the OS version if the device is compatible.
So I changed MY 1Tb HDD on my Lenovo Legion Y530 to a 1Tb SSD.
How can I install the factory settings on the SSD?. Plz I really need help on this.

My Y520 Legion was mid update install and the power went out(I didn't have it plugged in, my fault). Now, I've tried USB boot drives but I'm getting errors for drivers missing. The m.2 ssd is also missing from bios, device mangler, explorer, etc.
Try reconnecting the SSD. It is possible that the issue is the cable or the ssd.
I'm having a trouble with the RTX sinces windows is making a code 43 with the GPU. Should I do this full reset in order to discart a hardware problem?
Is that error code from the device manager? Try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver. If the issue is the same, delete and reinstall via Lenovo support site.
To answer your question, yes..it is more likely a hardware problem if after the reset and the issue still persists.

Yep, it will be just the c drive where the OS is sitted by default.
how many seconds should I press the novo button? Mine don't show the novo menu after trying many times. It does nothing.
2-3 seconds will do. Make sure the computer is completely off before you press the novo button. What is the issue of the computer why are you resetting it?

Factory reset will remove all programs that are not preloaded including the virus and your files.

The solution to losing the admin or BIOS password is to replace the motherboard.

Try creating a recovery media on your end by following this link:
www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10. Instead of using 8GB as per the instruction, use a 16GB flashdrive or external drive. Make sure its empty. Follow the instruction from there. Hope everything goes well for you.
I have a y530 and it stuck on whea uncorrectable error with a blue screen. It simply won’t boot. Does any one have any ideas to try to get this thing booting? 😭

Possible corrupted OS or HDD/SSD. Choose BIOS SETUP this time after you press the Novo button. Check under the information tab if the hdd or ssd is detected. If not, possible hdd/ssd failure.

If you cant provide the correct BIOS password, motherboard replacement is the answer.
